a bit fairer would be
Vol 77 (~ 8 months) - Vol 88 (~ 9 month)

Oricon total would be tomorrow but last time oricon for Vol. 88 was 2,330,206 (june 10th) so you can add 150k to that for now.

Yes but if we take One Piece as example, ok it's not 1.3 mln... What is it 700k? Ok, do you really think ONE PIECE dropped by 700k ? Come on it's One Piece, obviously these numbers became digital.
Now Black Clover surely doesn't make 700k digital copies neither 200/300K, but at least 50/100K it has to, so if we add it to 420 or so, we got the same sales of Fairy Tail for example, and Fairy Tail was considered and WAS/is a huge success...now why people spit shit on Black Clover, saying it's sales are low af, and things like that?
To me 400/500K range are pretty good sales, that's all, peace.

From a simple one-shot to a series with other 3 manga starting together, it was the only one to survive, to an anime and making top 10 annual manga sales and the 4th most rentable series of TV Tokyo. That’s a success, Tabata did make an amazing thing.

To be honest: yes, I think that. Probably a part went into digital, but most probably just dropped. One Piece had enourmous spikes in the past, it was obvious from the beginning that it wouldn't be able to hold that consistently.

I hope someday people will learn how tops and data works, puting data like "blacks stoles more than whites" doesn't means shit if you don't backed it with information because the researched may have things that we can't see in the first like "blacks are poor" or "the culture of the ghettos".

Isn't that top 5 is TV ad revenue only? Also Bleach is there who don't have anime for almost 6 years with flop live action movie. Looking at this BC being there doesn't feel impressive.

Well, compared to the sales boosts of shows like Tokyo Ghoul, or the (crazy) view numbers of MHA, it's not doing that well.
But that isn't the only metric tho.
