Every series is getting pushed/promoted. The more popular it becomes, the more is pushed. It's all Jump properties, its in Jump interest all to succeed. When the "hot" series starts to loose steam, they shift towards other series. It's always been like that. All my comparisons are trying to show that, it's not only Toriko super promoted as people claim, as other series were getting more or equally promoted in Jump than Toriko (like Bakuman not getting anything, while in reality got as much as Toriko). But just because of a crossover, people exaggerate too much.

Sket Dance had crossover with Gintama. Why isn't anyone saying it got super pushed?

Dr. Stone have less than 100 chapters, got anime announced in less time than Toriko. Got 5 covers in less than it's first 2 years. Got 20 CP in less than 90 Chapters. Obviously it's promoted more in Jump than Toriko during both series first 2 years.

Dunno about it. As I said before, Dr.Stone is being by far the most pushed series by Jump in this decade. Way more than Hero Academia, Neverland, Haikyuu or Assasination Classroom in their times. And these 4 titles I've said have been/are more popular than Dr.Stone.

What I said it still true. As Nura/Kimetsu/etc started to get more popular, they got pushed more. But in Dr. Stone case, you can clearly see it's also pushed more by Jump, as the series ain't even that popular in Japan.

I'm not saying series don't get pushed, but I'm arguing that Toriko is not the biggest pushed series as people claim and is actually comparable to a lot more series. And you mentioning Dr. Stone is just another example how another series got pushed more. Toriko was more popular than Dr. Stone in it's first 2 years, sold more. Yet Dr. Stone got TV before it, more CPs, got Popularity Poll before Toriko, etc. There is also Jump Next/GIGA, were current series like Kimetsu, Dr. Stone, MHA, BC & others, receive more often extra short chapters or small 1-2 page extras or even extra posters.

Tbh if Toriko doesn't join Jump Force I'm going to be very very surprised (for the moment he's surprisingly one of the characters with less chances of joining). Hoping he joins.

Oh hey, me in 2013. When I was insecure about Bleach's lowering sales (and other things in life) and popularity and wanted to take it out on Toriko instead.
How on earth did you go back and find these discussions!?

But I still stand by it though. Toriko's push was huge.
Toriko was put ahead of Bleach in magazine covers from Jan 2011 in the joint covers, before Bleach even started its last arc and selling almost 300-400k more than Toriko per volume. Not to forget the multiple joint covers with One Piece that year. WSJ really tried to push the image that Toriko was the next big thing in the magazine.
Sure, WSJ will promote its series because that's their source of income. Doesn't mean we cannot pick on the fact that they were forcing the image that Toriko was the next big thing. BC and Dr. Stone are not quite as promoted but they are sure up there.

If they don't start adding a bit of variety from other franchises, the game won't appeal to me that much. It feels mostly OP and DB characters and I have enough OP and DB games to play. So far it feels it has less variety that J-Stars.

Like I said on previous page: "People talking about Toriko's push are totally not biased XD"

"How on earth did you go back and find these discussions!?" - I remember making such comparisons in the past, so I did a quick search.

My Hero Academia, Boruto and Black Clover are the winners for Crunchyroll this year. I'm surprised by the lack of Dragon Ball Super.
Posted it 15 minutes ago and both my post and SharkBait answer were deleted. Dunno why; discussing how Shonen Jump titles are the main shows worldwide in Crunchyroll is in accordance with the thread theme.

Dragon Ball Super won only in Croatia which makes me happy; I prefer Black Clover and Hero Academia to get success over Mainstream Ball. Surprised the total dominance of Hero Academia in Latin America, while Black Clover dominated in Western Europe, then Boruto in Asia.

In other order of news, both Otoko Ippiki and Harenchi Gakuen turned 50 years old officially yesterday (well, Harenchi Gakuen had that oneshot in issue #1).

Fans latching onto the representative figureheads of the golden age of anime and manga is honestly exciting.

while Black Clover dominated in Western Europe
Though, it has to be mentioned: Crunchyroll doesn't have the license for MHA in Western Europe, they only broadcast it in US, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Latin America. So, Black Clover basically ran without its biggest competitor in Western Europe.

Just finished reading Gokutei Higuma and Ne0;lation.
Higuma gives me a old school, early 2000 exorcist manga, the story use some clichés, but that did not bother me as much since they where not that relied upon. I especialy liked the heroine, how MC changes personality when fighting and the possibility to expand on the lore of the world. The art is better than it was on the short series. Only big donwside for me is how the MC looks so overpowered already.

Ne0;lation author uses so much exposition and other writing tricks as shortcuts to get where he wants that it makes the story really boring to follow, characters reactions really left me a bad impression in special, with chapter 2 being really bad, The art is good and i can see how the author can make a future serialization sucess with more of a handle in the storytelling part. Even with all that i don't think the MC duo is bad.

This round was good, i can see all 3 series having a medium period of life in the magazine if they can use the strengh in each story, Chainsawman has me hooked with the interresting cast of characters, Higuma can expand the world and the relation between the two main characters, NeO'lation should use the city in a more interresting way and begin the domination introducing a good villain worth of One genius.

BC did beat MHA in South Africa though.

How much wasnt animated?
Probably a lot. Considering that in the trailers we just saw the final arc and the arc with Toritsuka controlled, they skipped two introductions of new characters and their chapters so maybe 30 or 50 chapters?
