2018 Wishlist:
- JuJutsu Kaisen anime by a good studio, the best part of the manga for me would probably be how good the art looks in the fights. Hopefully whoever ends up adapting it doesn't ruin that.
- Act-age anime adaption by KyoAni (it wont happen, I know )

Something like this could be very cool.
Open like a Dragon Ball movie featuring a new Toriyama designed villain plotting to change time and space by merging all these previously unknown univeses.
Beerus and his life partner tell Goku and friends that the only way to win against him is to take advantage of this universe merging shenanigans and team up with other legendary fighters. Whiz and Bulma create a magic technology allowing them to shift over to these other worlds hours before they're targeted for merging. First one Goku goes to is this ocean world where they team up with Luffy and Zoro, and it continues on going through these world's, fighting baddies, recruiting heroes, until the roster of heroes is strong enough for them to take on this big bad.

It pretty much writes itself .

Why would Thor need the help of an alcohic in a robot suit, a middle aged dude with a bow and arrow, and an anxious teenager who can't stop shooting sticky white stuff out of his body everywhere?
It's a fantasy fanservice movie, you can always come up with ways to make it work.

Not to mention such a movie should retain an adventure element, and not rely on some lazy tournament structure where all these heroes just get sent to this place to fight. Having an organic feeling adventure with a growing cast of characters throughout the runtime gives everyone a chance to shine and gives the film more freedom to play with tones by getting to see characters intract with the world's of other manga.
Plus you need to open it with a series that is very well known that also easily allows for inter dimensional play to happen within that universe. Dragon Ball is Jumps second most popular manga, features multiple universes as part of its story, and also doesn't take itself all that seriously which makes it perfect for being the introduction to this kind of teamup movie.

Kotoyama just had a one-shot published in Sunday last week, and they announced at the end of that that Kotoyama is already preparing another series for Sunday currently, so, no, Kotoyama is not just free for Jump to snatch.

Doesn’t make much sense that Goku doesn’t one Punch 90% of the rouster in Jump video games but it’s a video game so they just make it work.

Hell, it doesn’t make much sense that Goku and Vegeta still request help from Krillen, Piccolo, Tien, etc. characters that they’re both literally 1000x stronger than. But it still happens

a smart way to make things work though is to force Goku and Vegeta to have to travel to the other universes to fight the different henchman of the villains. And Goku and Vegeta’s Power matches the limitations and “rules” of the world they’re in. For exp. in One Piece world they can only be as strong as a One Piece character can be

Absolutely. Overhyping it is also sort of setting it up for failure.
But, IMO, I feel Kishimoto took his sweet time to plan out the story and probably went over it all with WSJ editors to make sure they can do everything they can to ensure its a great story.
