Yakusoku no Neverland #13
If it was the intervew I think of there werent any real troubles mentioned. Those that were felt like jokes. Anime staff tries to made themselves like victims but I dont really buy it. They could wait untill manga actually finished and then make full adaptation but they were eager and thus it became like this. If they are talking the truth which I highly doubt. The kicked him out of main mag but before it they for some strange reason made pointless fake countdown. Which actually shows that Sorachi had pretty decent relationship with editorial staff I think. In short in order release why people think he is trolling one need to read gintama itself and not to be naivedo people seriously think Sorachi is trolling about the ending and not him being unable to wrap up the story?
read the interview with his editor that was published a while back, some of problems they ran into because of his attitude
watch the last episode of the anime when the characters break the 4th wall, watch how many problems the anime production have ran into because he keep giving them promises and then breaking them
they kicked him out of the main magazine and now they're kicking him out of the sister magazine
all the respect to the dude for creating one of the most popular franchises but to me he seems like a nightmare to work with
Oh yes, they were eager. Eager for money. Just like when they cut hella lot of material to get to Shogun arc as fast as they could. So it was especially hilarios when they told Saa arc was surprise for them especially considerating 4th season was announced at its ending. About countdown. It just doent work this way. You think they give him five chapters, he could not fit in it, they said okay and move him to giga? Not of course. They knew it beforehand. They knew it and still go with coundown.they didn't put a countdown for a strange reason
the studio didn't go out of its way to skip many chapter and announce they are adapting the final arc out of order because they were eager
there are a perfect explanation for both situations
obviously they were lied to
If I remember correctly, Sorachi did tell the anime staff that the manga was coming to a close around the time of the revival of the 2015 edition of the anime so he has some culpability there in forcing their hand to skip comedy chapters. As for the original 5 chapters left ending, I remember Sorachi already admitted that he had approached the manga editors a few months beforehand that he was ready to end the manga but realized he had screwed up his timing and wouldn't be able to finish on time. That was when Shueisha gave him the GIGA chapters to finish off, which he couldn't do.Oh yes, they were eager. Eager for money. That what anime staff said in last episode. But in words of Shimura Shinpachi from the very same segment"Why the heck we have to believe you?" Again they announced new season at the end of shogun arc which lasted for half a year. It wasnt just suddenly there. They knew about it. Also the reason why I am bringing that countdown is because that when gates of hell opened. They trolled together with Sorachi and if they did it once, they can do it twice. And then thrice too.If I remember correctly, Sorachi did tell the anime staff that the manga was coming to a close around the time of the revival of the 2015 edition of the anime so he has some culpability there in forcing their hand to skip comedy chapters. Honestly, I can find this funny as a fan of the series and Sorachi's sense of humour but if almost any other mangaka had tried this, they would have fired and shamed several times over this. That's twice now Sorachi's missed his own deadline. IMO, he's lucky Shueisha respects him massively and are willing to let him go about his own business.
Feels very much like thisI want to believe that this whole story about Gintama's ending has always been planned, otherwise a behavior like that, historical author or not, is unacceptable

New Shiibashi manga art for ants. Seems they are twin girls. I still don't imagine Shiibashi doing a romcom, but if this is a romcom, I see Yuuna going to GIGA to fill Gintama spot.
EDIT: @Jovan is 5ch saying anything about that Journey of the West stuff plot? I still don't see a shota with a hat carrying a loli doll as something out of Journey of the West
