I've edited with recent results. I think maybe 1 or 2 have posted your top-5 twice, but I only recalled animeexpert. I should check

Congrats to Shokugeki for achieving finally their very first vote.

Also, it happened. Chainsawman got the 1st place. H-HOW?
By being good

I didn't post my top 5 so I might as well. I'd probably give it to (in no particular order):

Jujutsu Kaisen
Black Clover
My Hero Academia
Chainsaw Man
AssClass

Updated again, Chainsawman retains its first place. Mainly because is still new (40 chapters) is that it has surprised me a lot, but 1 of each 2 users here has Chainsawman as one of his favorite manga.

Well, I agree with you that Denji is (for me) the best character of current Jump.

Jujutsu Kaisen finally joins the double-digits membership, and Shokugeki gets its 2nd vote.

Come on, no vote for Shokugeki no Souma? What a shame, i will not act like 90% of the manga wasnt a great and refreshing ride just because a bad final arc (which is kinda normal for Jump). It was a hell of ride for 7 years and i will always remember it!

My 5 series:

-Haikyuu (Simply a masterpiece that i put together with Slam Dunk, one of my top 5 ever)

-Shokugeki no Souma (one of the most refreshing Jump series ever with great casting and one of the baddest MC)

-Black Clover (It makes me fell like i'm reading Naruto again in the glory days of forums and school discussions)

-Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san (I love ecchi and To Love-ru, Yuuna is a love letter to it and even surpasses in many aspects)

-Boruto (The sequel of my favorite franchise ever that introduced me too everything thar i love)
I enjoyed food wars too, till the last arc disaster arc and some in between... there are so many manga to choose for a top 5 There are just better mangas than food wars

So what is your opinion about Yozakura and Mitama 9 chapters in?
Yozakura started out with me feeling nothing, jumped massively up with its charm, and.... yeah, kinda feeling the same now. Plenty of other people love it though, so it doesn’t need me.
Mitama, on the other hand, I thought was pretty funny at first and has only gotten better. Vibe-wise it reminds me of stuff like Gag Manga Biyori, and the only thing holding it back is how hard it is to break from its established formula. Gonna be interested to see what happens this week, as it really might go a different way for a bit.

So what is your opinion about Yozakura and Mitama 9 chapters in?
Yozakura has been pretty good so far. I like most of the characters and the artwork, but I wish they had made Taiyo take a little bit longer to show such good results. He basically went from normal human to superhuman over the course of 2 chapters. However, I still have fun with it, so I hope it sticks around for a while. Mitama has been a total mixed bag for me. For the most part, its chapters were getting better each time, but I didn't even crack a smile for its most recent chapter. I don't really like the main guy, but the things the spirits do are usually funny.

I am still waiting for the other Yozakura family members to have their own chapters. Like gamer girl.

I know I'm odd, but for me the best 2019 WSJ manga has been Futari no Taisei. A pity it is dying next weeks :emobirb

In general terms, and having in count all magazines, I'd say the most important 2019 manga has been SpyxFamily, then Chainsawman (I'm counting it as a 2019 manga despite starting in December 2018).

I enjoy both, i think once the 5 perma-bottom series are gone, we will get a better picture about these 2 survival chances

Yozakura worries me, they keeps introducing new characters, they introduced a new female principle and a new detective guy, meanwhile the already existing cast remains undeveloped
and beside Taiyo, Matsumi and Koychiro i don't even remember the names of the cast

also, the manga itself is not focused, sometimes it's action, others it's romantic, other it's comedic, others it's sol,.... and it doesn't last long enough in any genre to excel in it
the saying "a jack of all trades is a master of none" comes to mind

Sadly it was already doomed when it was shown that it is a shogi manga. Shogi mangas are cursed to fail. just like sport mangas

Yozakura to me feels like it's doing the thing where it throws in a bunch of different types of content as quickly as it can hoping one will stick, and it'll follow that genre from vol 2 onwards.

It does have way too many characters though, like do we even need that many siblings introduced right at the start if it's not starting out with a bunch of character-establishing chapters? Just say there's a few away on missions or something and gradually introduce them to the core cast as it goes on. Granted having all the siblings makes for nicer group shots but I forget how many there are even.

Tite Kubo x Kohei Horikoshi Special Talk

Kubo advice on current Shonen Jump authors.
Kubo: We didn’t talk much about this, but my generation had to draw while bearing in mind that “everyone considers the era of Dragon Ball and Slam Dunk to be the golden age of manga.” We were constantly plagued by self-doubt. Even though everyone thinks their own manga is the best in the world as they’re working on it, we couldn’t shake off the fear that our series weren’t on par with the ones we had enjoyed as children. Today, Horikoshi-kun reassured me that “the most interesting Jump is the one you used to read.” That means the current youth considers whatever they’re reading now to be the most interesting.

If it was an anime, it would be pretty enjoyable. Bias manga, it's > alright <. The writer now is mostly setting up for bigger events

Character introduction
Mc development
Goal to protect
New character to back-up the mc

Now we only need better showcase of the other spy characters & major plots

Horikoshi: Kubo-sensei, I’ll never forget the words you said to me long ago. We were taking a taxi together when I confessed to you that “I have no idea what my forte is.” You immediately replied, “Art, of course,” and I felt a path open up before me.

Not gonna lie. Kubo's response was inspirational.
