It's because you upvote literally every comment that praises MHA. Anyway the point isn't about you, the point is that MHA's choreography is bottom tier.
I upvote posts about Kimetsu as well. People upvote posts pertaining to things they like that's not a foreign concept here.

3 pages of 48th issue (without watermark^^) :
Now that's a good cover for Double Taisei, enough so that I'd say it makes up for how awful that volume 1 cover was (well, maybe almost lol). Actually, all of those volume covers look like tremendous improvements over their first volumes' covers. Aren't the newbies' second volumes coming out soon?

Even if he’s a huge fan, it appears like that personally bothers you for whatever reason, and you seem to be genuinely bothered by other people’s opinions on something that is completely subjective.
I'm not bothered that he's a fan, I just want to propose to him the idea that his rating of BNHA's choreography is highly biased by his love of the series such that he would like all comments that had BNHA in the top 5. Now that I've proposed the idea to him, I see no need to continue this conversation.
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

The easy (yet time-consuming) solution is to ask said fan why they like the choreography so much, and then to go from there. If the justification is full of holes and hasn't been thought through very much, address that, and maybe the person will reply with more detail or eventually reconsider their position.
Fair enough.

I upvote posts about Kimetsu as well. People upvote posts pertaining to things they like that's not a foreign concept here.
It's not posts pertaining things you like, you liked all posts where people rated BNHA at all in the top 5. Which was like 10+ posts of just top 5 lists. That caught my eye and it made me think you really liked BNHA. Was this a false conclusion I drew or something?

Why do you like the choreography so much?

I’m shocked not one vote for Nisekoi. Maybe Leoat would have if he participated but still, that was more liked here than shokugeki at least

I think 2020 will look like this for Jump anime:
Winter: Haikyuu S4
Spring: Promised Neverland S2 (cant be winter since Noitamina slot is filled)
Summer: JJK
Fall: HeroAca S5

If Stone gets a second season then maybe that comes around next fall too.
MHA took a 1 year break between the end of Season 3 and the beginning of Season 4 instead of the usual half year, probably so it wouldn't catch up to the manga too fast. Since Season 4 won't end till sometime in the first half of 2020, 2021 is probably more likely for as a start time for Season 5. Especially now that the manga's output is slower than it used to be.

I...completely forgot that Nisekoi was a 2010s manga. Either way, IMO both WNL and 5toubun outdo it in spades.

EDIT: I said anime, I meant to say manga.

Voted for what, the top 5 series of 2010 thing? Looks like I missed that. Nisekoi was actually one of the first manga series I ever read after completing the anime, and it ended up being what got me to discover WSJ in the first place, so it'll always hold a special place in my heart.
Plus, the best girl won in the end!
.If it's not too late; in no particular order

1. Samon-kun wa Summoner
2. Nisekoi
3. Act-Age
4. Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan
5. We Never Learn

Obligatory mentions go out to Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san, Shishunki Renaissance! David-kun, and shockingly enough - Double Taisei. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget a series that gave me whiplash to this degree.

I don't think I did mine either, might as well

1) Ass Class
2) Kimetsu no Yaiba
3) Hinomaru Zumou
4) World Trigger
5) Black Clover

5th place is a toss-up between Black Clover and Act-age, but I'll give it to BC since it's got more chapters.

the thing about Nisekoi is that WNL has a pretty similar feel to it except without better girls and no stupid drama, so it kind of eclipses it in quality (unless you're really into the drama side of Nisekoi).

Kind of piggybacking off the whole top 5 favorite series of the 2010s topic, what would you guys say say are your top 5 disappointments/letdowns of the 2010s? For me, it'd probably include the following in no particular order.

1. Shokugeki no Soma - This is one of the rare times I went from loving something to loathing it so quickly. The start of the Central arc bummed me out so much that I was actually planning on just skipping it, since at the time, I massively underestimated the number of chapters it was going to span. But once it ended, it seemed like much of what followed wasn't any better, and from what I read of the ending, I was certainly not satisfied to say the least.

2. Sougou Jikan Jigyou Kaisha Daihyou Torijimariyaku Kaichou Senzoku Hisho Tanaka Seiji - Leaving out the completely ridiculous title, I went into this one hoping for a nice comedy series and ending up with a series that took itself way too seriously for its own good. The plot could only go so far when focusing on those serious aspects, and the author could only come up with like 3 unique weapons for Tanaka before reusing them. Plus, that artwork was quite appalling, and it actually seemed to get worse over time rather than better like many other series tend to do. The author needs a lot more practice before coming back, perhaps going to Jump+ first before going back to the main magazine.

3. Noah's Notes - Killer character designs, but it also suffered from the critical flaw of taking itself too seriously. The main dude was a bit too rough around the edges, the evil organization didn't really seem to click for me, and there was too much focus on battles rather than exploration. As much as I loved the gyaru's design, I couldn't overlook all of those other glaring flaws and was relieved once the series ended, even though the ending was one of the most depressing ones I've personally come across. At least the author now seems to be having success with 2.5D Seduction, unless that's somehow not him lol.

4. Kamio Yui wa Kami wo Yui - I have yet to end up fully enjoying this one, but I also never have really actively disliked it either. Each week, I'm basically teetering on the border of a 5/10 + or - 1. The character designs are quite well-done, but I didn't find many of the fights to be very fluid to read through in terms of their paneling and progression. The comedy sometimes worked for me, but unfortunately, the irregular pacing within each chapter made it a bit challenging for me to thoroughly enjoy. I also wasn't a fan of the introduction of the mushi into the storyline, but the most recent couple chapters focusing on his childhood friend have been pretty good. Part of it is definitely on me for being unfamiliar with the author's previous works, but to be fair, it isn't outside the realm of possibility for someone to try something new.

5. Saigo no Saiyuki - Included this one on the list since when it first started, I was absolutely over the moon about the series thinking it was going to be the next great adventure series, but with a lovely family-focused storyline and fantastic artwork. Instead, 75% of the chapters were focused on incredibly-detailed written descriptions of lore, which when used occasionally aren't bad, but these happened so often, that I gradually lost much of my enthusiasm I had when the series first started. They also started focusing quite a bit on Estelle, which I didn't mind at first, but once it became apparent that cancellation was inevitable, I wish they would've shifted the focus back to the main characters earlier than they did. I definitely wouldn't call the series bad, but I was certainly disappointed that the plot didn't progress more quickly and naturally.

Honorable mentions go out to Love Rush for breaking my heart with that ending, Pajama na Kanojo for randomly resolving the main mystery of its plot and then just basically never referencing it again, and roughly the first volume's worth of chapters of Double Taisei for being so convoluted and confusing that it turned so many people off of the series right before it got really good

I now worry about Jujutsu being adapted by Pierrot. The secret festa stage, the double volume release, manga getting to overall good amount of chapters for anime announcement. And in the same time, Black Clover getting closer to the manga, means Pierrot can just end it and take in for April/July a new show...
Black Clover anime will reach 154 episodes. So it will last until october 2020

I have MIXED feelings about MHA S5 airing in fall next year. On one hand, it'd be great if we could have back-to-back MHA seasons in the same year, making the wait more bearable. OTOH, a 6-month break may result in a dip in quality compared to the previous season, (although a "low quality" episode from BONES is still several steps up compared to other studios) unless BONES already planned all this out and have already started working on the beginning of S5 right now given how big that arc is, right up there with Kamino.

-Shokugeki continues being the only series with no fans. H-how?
Simple. It was a gimmicky manga, with cardboards for characters.

I hope they don't rush S5. The enhancement in quality in S4 is pretty noticeable just from the first few episodes, they have gotten more creative with shots and perspectives and the visuals are much better, hopefully the fights follow this pattern too. Also, even with the nice schedule they have (apparently when S4 started airing they had already finished half of the episodes), I don't think Bones have started planning the next one already. They probably will do it once S4 ends, just like they did with S4 when S3 ended. Another one year break would be ideal.

because you asked this question 5 years too late :emocat. This was legit one of my best/favorite manga since I read it as chapter 1 back in 2012 and follow it weekly. I know it would be a hit straightaway before i know it's a Jump series. Got at least 3 of my friends to watch/read the anime/manga. I also know once chapter 132 came out it would be a wrap.

Also i don't remember the question but here are all my responses, just pick whatever you like

Best Manga that I read from chapter 1 and still continue to DELIVER (at least my definition of deliver):
1. Assassination Classroom
2. The Promised Neverland
3. Dr Stone
4. Act Age
5. Chainsaw Man

Favorite Completed Manga (either a certain part or overall):
1. Assassination Classroom
2. Sesuji Wo pin
3. Nisekoi
4. Food war (Up to chapter 132)
5. David Kun

HYPE manga thanks to its anime:
1. HYPEkyuu season 1/2/3
2. Kuroko no Basuke season 1/2/3 (yeah i know the manga was in 2008 but the anime first episode aired 2012 lol)

Best AND Favorite Ongoing 2010 manga in the magazine with heavily bias on its current arc or the previous one:
1. Act Age (No arc after this current monkey king arc will top this one)
2. My Hero Academia (The LoV arc was HYPE)
3. Dr Stone
4. The Promised Neverland (still riding on Goldy Pond but it's still coolio)
5. Chainsaw Man (I want what's Fujimoto is smoking)

-------------------
Most of my favorite series are pre 2010 lol

My favourite WSJ manga from this decade would be Nisekoi, Chainsaw Man, The Promise Neverland, Black Clover and Robot x Laserbeam. I was disappointed with the way 3 out of those 5 went after a certain point in the story (RxL being cancelled included). I haven't read KnY, BnHA, AssClass etc.

Shokugeki no Soma - 0 votes

Some updtades respect last time:
-Spectacular rise for Chainsawman which threatens Kimetsu 1st place (I misscounted one vote here after checking again)
-World Trigger continues STRONG and gets solid 3rd place over Hero Academia and Haikyuu. Also, Assassination Classroom and Saiki Kusuo have risen a lot as well

On my side, I notice that no series 10s interested me except Boruto. None where I exceeded the first volume. But I do not scan anymore and I test the first volume in Japanese or French. By cons, Act-age and Jujutsu not yet tested. As they come out in France next year, it will be an opportunity to test them.

Otherwise, since 2010, in the Shônen Jump: I continued and finished Naruto. And I continue One Piece and so Boruto (Even if serie go in V-Jump).

Come on, no vote for Shokugeki no Souma? What a shame, i will not act like 90% of the manga wasnt a great and refreshing ride just because a bad final arc (which is kinda normal for Jump). It was a hell of ride for 7 years and i will always remember it!

My 5 series:

-Haikyuu (Simply a masterpiece that i put together with Slam Dunk, one of my top 5 ever)

-Shokugeki no Souma (one of the most refreshing Jump series ever with great casting and one of the baddest MC)

-Black Clover (It makes me fell like i'm reading Naruto again in the glory days of forums and school discussions)

-Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san (I love ecchi and To Love-ru, Yuuna is a love letter to it and even surpasses in many aspects)

-Boruto (The sequel of my favorite franchise ever that introduced me too everything thar i love)

I've edited with recent results. I think maybe 1 or 2 have posted your top-5 twice, but I only recalled animeexpert. I should check

Congrats to Shokugeki for achieving finally their very first vote.

Also, it happened. Chainsawman got the 1st place. H-HOW?
