Summer time Rendering sales keep increasing, it might make to oricon top 50, but it will have to compete with Neverland and Gotoubun backlogs for a spot so it's not looking too good

normally first volumes only need 7 chapters to fill, Chainsaw man already have more chapter than that so it's understandable that they want to release a volume asap before the new series hype wears off

Eh, that is a good point, but also ne0 and Higuma are both coming from new mangakas in a wild crowd, unlike Chainsaw Man where the mangaka has a fanbase from Fire Punch.

Now looking at sales, the reddit and Chainsaw Man hype overall kind of fooled me.

Fire Punch usually did around 33-34k after 10 days, which while isn't so great for Shueisha standards, it's very decent for a Shonen Jump+ (which has flops left and right) series.

tocotoco made an episode with former Jump author Shinichi Sakamoto, debuted with award winning one-shot in 1990, later serialized "Mortal Commando Guy" canceled after 2 volumes and "Bloody Soldier" canceled after 1 volume. After that he left for Young Jump. A 20-minutes episode about a very special author, english and french subs available.

He is the 2nd mangaka featured in tocotoco that has relations to WSJ, the first one was creator of Stop Hibari-kun, Hisashi Eguchi.

His art is so beautiful. I follow him on twitter. Is there a reason why none of his works have gotten anime adaptations? I know his art is very detailed but I dont think that will scare all anime studios away from wanting to adapt his work. I believe Innocent and Rogue never sold that well but Im pretty sure Kokou no Hito did and even won an award iirc.
