I'm saying them not announcing something right now doesn't mean they wont. It might, but they aren't "skipping over it"

Hinomaru Zumou is still unreleased, unless youre saying viz is waiting.
Viz doesn't translate HZ (outsource). In fact, i'd say they have no plan to license it (since they didn't pick it up during the new Shonen Jump app, but they DID pick up Act Age. So it's just a matter of time.

They could do Act Age + Chainsaw man/neolation/hell warden higuma if any of these survived + Kishimoto new series pick up in Summer session.

Yeah they basically go to the more popular one first which is obvious marketing. I just wish Act-age will come out this year as well.

Viz Covers for June & some of July 2019
Shonen Jump logo in the back cover changed, might affect future titles on spine.

Chainsaw Man still holding on per Shoseki, even 12 days after it's release it is on the 126th place of the Top 500 daily rankings.

these thing are relative anyway, daily are not really that important, besides it is the normal weekend bump for shonen manga. just wait for the weekly

If these things are absolute(which it isn't), then fire punch 1 did a lot better than CSM for example (since it had a very similar FW and same days)

Lol some people thought one of the 5 Viz announcements is going to be for Kingdom. That's never going to happen with it's 50+ volume count and have 100 volumes in the foreseeable future.

I wonder if the VIZ JJK logo for the physical release even be good, the one JB made is too good :emocat
They're going to fuck it up in the same way they did for Kimetsu No Yaiba. That title font was so obnoxious but it looks better on the anime.

kingdom feels like a series with very niche interests that if they were really interested in getting theyd have already done it when the anime was actually going on or in the time afterwards. Apart from Haikyuu!! I cant think of any recent series they picked up that already had more than 20 volumes out when they announced it.

Unless I missed where warring states material was actually something of bigger than niche interests, I think kingdom is best left in pipe dream status.

Yeah the new chapter of Saiyuki was great, we got some backstory, a resolution to the last conflict, more character development, and a good set up to the first, non-monster villain. It was really well-paced as well.

I think this week's chapter of Kamio Yui was composed better than the last one, and I think more of the jokes hit compared to last chapter, so I guess it was better, but it was still just "alright" for the most part.

Last Saiyuki was pretty good, the series is convincing me more and more.

Kamio Yui just felt so incredibly bland and average to the point that it hurts, imo. But... it was speck better than the first one, so I guess that is something... maybe.

Like last week, this week is being very hard for me to do a top-3 ranking. A lot of awesome chapters from a lot of titles.

For now I'd say that this week for me has been 1. Black Clover, 2. My Hero Academia, 3. Jujutsu Kaisen, but Act-age, David, Last Saiyuki, Kimetsu, Neverland and Dr.Stone have also had very good chapters.

I'm also really on board with The Last Saiyuki. I mean I've been pretty much sold since the first chapter, but this recent one really blew me away. It's got a great mix of interesting lore, and emotional character moments, it takes a while to develop (the first three chapters felt like they would have been one chapter of a usual Jump series) but I think it really works in the story's favor.

Last saiyuki's chapter was pretty good too. That said, I can't help but feel the series' direction would've been just a bit better if this chapter or the next ones segued into a timeskip.

I didn't care much for this week's Last Saiyuki chapter and I'll be dropping it. I'm not a fan of the new super edgy villain.

I still find Kamio Yui enjoyable and I'll continue reading it for now. One cool detail I noticed about Yui's character design is how when she changes her "form", her color scheme inverts, that's a nice playful detail. The plot needs to develop some more, otherwise this might become too repetitive.

I'm still keeping up with Higuma and I'd say it's potentially giving off ending soon vibes. I'm not sure if it's the same for ne0 since I don't read it anymore. If this is true, we can expect a new serialization round soon.

Kamio Yui is the new Demon Poro's Diaries for me. A very bland, repetitive high school manga with MC that is not ordinary and OP with some romance/comedy bits. I just cant see a situation where it lives much. WSJ audience usually reject manga with a similiar setting in the past.

If this is true, we can expect a new serialization round soon .
It was said the new serialization round which Samurai 8 is a part of will be in the end of the April or early May.
