BC's numbers are Beelzebub numbers. Impressive for the latter which was well known for its comedy but just about average for the former.

KnY can get to BC's numbers if it gets the average boost series usually get. What will be impressive if it can get more than the average boost that propels it to sales of like 400-500k range.

When you try to compare it to some of Jump’s biggest series it’s not that impressive.
But how many manga in The industry do you think are selling 200K+ per volume. It’s not insane numbers, but it’s certainly a fantastic accomplishment, and not easy by any means

But do you have any idea what the manga market is in Japan?

No, to make you understand there are thousands of titles, literally.

If a manga in the midst of all this sells 200k copies, then it's a success. Needless to deny it.

Yeah exactly. Its fine as in its average. Which isn't a bad thing. So many series barely sell that average outside WSJ.
But its not exactly an impressive target for KnY.

I mean, 2.6 million in 2011 and 1.7 in 2012 = 4.3 million in those 2 alone. *shrugs*

Black Clover currently sells over 300k, no? This is a success and a big number, regardless of anything. Kimetsu reaching or surpassing BC already would be a big thing as it's currently selling like 200k less than it.

BC 19 sold 242k in Jan
KnY 14 sold 160k in Jan.

That's a difference of 82k, a number Kimetsu can easily match with an average anime boost.
Yeah, sure the difference over the entire year per volume might grow to 100-120k but the gap between post-anime BC and pre-anime KnY isn't as big as you're making it seem.

A great boost would be Kimetsu volumes doing 300-320k in a month and ~400-450k per volume over several months.

400k sounds a bit unreasonable. Doesnt the anime air late at night too? I thought those late night shows dont receive as big as of boost as ones that air in prime tv slots. The backlog Kimetsu received already is a good sign tho lol so we can only hope it hits 400k.

dont know if daily sales are truly a good indicator as there are ranks with no assigned unit values thus , if the top seller on that daily is only a few thousand then by the time you reach rank 100+, youre only at a few hundred at best copies or less.

What I do know is Kimetsu is airing on a fuck ton of channels, around 40. Will have good publicity.
