Thanks! But where do you get them in general?
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---

Not that my opinion matters, but here are my arbitrary thoughts on Weekly Shonen Jump series:
One Piece: Can't say I'm enjoying this current arc so far, but I did like the latest chapter to an extent. I hope Oda picks up the pace!
Hunter x Hunter: Pls come back. I seriously miss you!
My Hero Academia: I feel like I'm forcing myself to read, but maybe I'll like this current arc more when the anime adapts it.
Black Clover: Although very generic, I'm glad I stuck with it because the current arc has been fun for me.
Kimetsu no Yaiba: I think the worldbuilding is just really awkward to me, but I genuinely love the characters and a lot of the action. I hope it isn't actually in the final arc because it's so great and could go on for much longer, but it is what it is.
The Promised Neverland: I think this series peaked with its first arc, but I still like it somewhat.
Dr. Stone: Bad first arc, but it really came around once Chrome and his village got introduced, and it's just been consistently entertaining for me. Nothing special though.
Act-Age: It can be slow at times, but I haven't stopped loving this series since it started serialization.
Jujutsu Kaisen: I think it's ooookay. I like that it can be violent.
Chainsaw Man: I think this series is utterly insane, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love the vibe it gives off, and I'm on the edge of my seat right now.
The Last Saiyuki: I just find this series very boring. Almost fell asleep drooling. I did like the first chapter, but it's lost me since then. I don't know if it can win me over, but I hope it finds its footing because it does seem interesting.
Yui Kamio Lets Loose: I actually don't dislike this series. I don't exactly like it either, but I'm surprisingly following it along quite easily.
Samurai 8: I'm having a lot of trouble following along. I don't know what it is, but it kinda hurts my eyes to read it. I don't know if it's the art or whatever. Maybe it's the fact that I'm reading off of the Viz app on my phone, but I find myself sort've skimming through everything regarding this series. I know it's only been three chapters so far, but I have the impression I'm probably better off just waiting for an anime adaptation in two years (or less. I'm sure you guys have a better idea).
Double Taisei: That plot twist in chapter two did surprise me, but I don't know how long a manga like this can last. Personally, I can't get into the art style.
Beast Chiildren: An okay opening chapter. Hope it gets better.

If I didn't mention any other ongoing WSJ series, it's because I don't read it.
WHAT THE FUCK. I try to read all the ongoing WSJ titles, and by first arc of Dr. Stone I don't know if you mean Z=0 or 1 (I can understand not loving 0), but I love the series a lot now.

But, besides that

WE HAVE LITERALLY THE SAME TASTE

I'm gonna remember your username because the value of your opinions just rose by 200%

I've checked the chapters it would probably be at in this issue, and I think its improvement in art helped it climb the ranks. That and by this time many likeable side characters were already introduced like the student council members and Momoka

I'm interested in what you think about old legendary Jump titles, similar way RingoRoadOnceMore has done of current series.

I would ask your opinion for this series:
-Kinnikuman
-Captain Tsubasa
-Fist of the North Star
-Dragon Ball
-City Hunter
-Saint Seiya
-Yu Yu Hakusho
-Slam Dunk
-Kenshin (please, comment is as a series. Let's try to forget the ''Watsuki is a pedo'' here)
-Yu-Gi-Oh!
-Prince of Tennis (the forgotten Jump spokon despite having sold more than Kuroko no Basket or Haikyuu)
-Hitman Reborn
-Toriko
-Kuroko no Basket

Extra titles: Otoko Ippiki, Mazinger Z (it debuted on Jump), Kochikame, Ring ni Kakero, Cobra, Sakigake Otokojuku, Rokudenashi Blues, Video Girl Ai, NuBe, Sexy Commando Masaru-san, Hoshin Engi, I''s, Hikaru no Go, Eyeshield21

I ignored JoJo since is a strange case of an old title which gets tons of talk currently.
Only one I've read/watched recently is YYH (watched Dragon Ball/DBZ and Yugioh years and years ago).
Dark Tournament one of the GOAT arcs, Chapter Black great as well but shaky near the end. Toguro (and Sensui, to a lesser extent) are legendary. A shame that last arc was as rushed as it was because of Togashi's health and feelings toward things, but it is what it is.

A great core four of protags, and I love Yusuke and Genkai's relationship (though Togashi shouldn't have brought her back).

I'll eventually check out Fist of the North Star (anime), Slam Dunk (I imagine the manga is the way to go here?), and Hikaru no Go.

I would ask your opinion for this series:
-Kinnikuman haven't read
-Captain Tsubasa haven't read
-Fist of the North Star repetitive and okay story but great art and battles like Berserk
-Dragon Ball entertaining. Shallow but well written
-City Hunter haven't read
-Saint Seiya haven't read
-Yu Yu Hakusho one of the best shonen. Innovative and compelling and beautiful in many ways
-Slam Dunk best sports shonen without a doubt but I don't want to even restrict it to that category. Later half got a bit boring imo
-Kenshin (please, comment is as a series. Let's try to forget the ''Watsuki is a pedo'' here) boring. Extremely boring. I can see how it would have stood out in old jump but holy shit every battle is just current shonen tropes and there are no stakes and it's just edgy for no reason.
-Yu-Gi-Oh! Very fun. Very clever. Duelist was nice. So was Egypt arc. Deserved classic
-Prince of Tennis (the forgotten Jump spokon despite having sold more than Kuroko no Basket or Haikyuu) not forgotten. But I don't think the story is remarkable from what I've heard
-Hitman Reborn okay start, semi funny. Great middle. Messy end but still the great cast carried it. Above average for a battle shonen and has its unique flavor. That waking up in the box scene, I'll never forget.
-Toriko amazing start, pretty damn hype middle and end even if it was rushed. I love the world, and they did the dark continent type of arc very well. Escalation was bloody hype as hell
-Kuroko no Basket ended up as a mystery genre manga where the mystery is how will they will the game despite being down 80 points. Since you know they'll win but you have to figure out how. It was mostly compelling and the backstory arc was nice but overall pretty shallow. Abilities were hype tho, it's like Mario kart or Mario and Sonic at the olympic games, I wouldn't be totally averse to more fantasy skills in sports.

Extra titles: Otoko Ippiki, Mazinger Z (it debuted on Jump), Kochikame, Ring ni Kakero, Cobra, Sakigake Otokojuku, Rokudenashi Blues, Video Girl Ai, NuBe, Sexy Commando Masaru-san, Hoshin Engi, I''s, Hikaru no Go, Eyeshield21

Hikaru is a masterpiece. Beautifully written and with an amazing MC with Eren Yaeger like amount of growth

Eyeshield is hype and the characters are great but somewhat shallow and Muratas art is not great for understanding how football works, but it's clean and beautiful. Some battles dragged. Overall was deserved hype.

I ignored JoJo since is a strange case of an old title which gets tons of talk currently.

There will be like gazillion of wall of texts. I will give 1-2 concise sentences, while grouping them together. Some i haven’t read, either plan to read or not interested

Can’t get into Tsubasa in 2019, the art is so old. This and Yugioh i somehow know the ending so there are never need to read them.

Fist of the Northstar and Kenshin are in the really want to finished this, but after 20 chapters i don’t feel the hype to continue

DB pre Z is way better and funnier. I reread it like every weeks 10-15 years ago

Yuyu Hakusho is good but you can see Togashi is being forced to write more than what he wants. Plus i like HxH more

Prince of Tennis and Eyeshield21 are two sport series i read more than 3 times, and watch all the anime.

Toriko is HYPE. Art is weird but i devoured it in 3 days. Timeskip is pretty doo doo.
Hikaru and KnB anime are more enjoyable than the manga.

Video Girl AI is weird lol. The first story is enjoyable but the 2nd/3rd part not so much.

Houshin Engi is one of the best manga in Jump.

Slam Dunk is one of the best manga in Jump.

Eyeshield21 is one of my favorite manga in Jump so i am also consider it the best.

Guess I'll have to read Houshin Engi now. It's relatively short though, interesting how you think it's the best.

Haven't you read or watched Saint Seiya? For me the 12 Houses Arc is still one of best Jump arcs ever.

The opinions about Hokuto no Ken, YYH, Kenshin, and Yu-gi-oh are being pretty interesting so far. Shows how time hasn't been nice with HnK for example

I forgot about Dai lol Added it in the extra list

It really hasn't, honestly. In terms of writing, it's more structured like religious text than a traditional story, however odd that may sound.

Also, screw One Piece, Naruto and Bleach, the real Big 3 of Jump history is Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk and Video Girl Ai for given the modern models for their respective genres.

*googles Hoshin Engi*

In all seriousness though, the art looks great and the premise seems intriguing.

What about Saint Seiya? Titles like Bleach have influence by Saint Seiya. The Soul Society Arc for example was very based on 12 Houses Arc

Saint Seiya did a bunch of important things which would come come to their favor, but I think no battle manga tops Dragon Ball in terms of how it transformed the genre.

Also, why am I not surprised that you're Spanish.

It really is amazing. Some of the cleanest art out there, with a very intriguing story, amazing villain, very little power level bullshit, loveable characters, and comedy that puts most gag manga to shame.

Will TPN finally get that silver crown?
How far can Boruto and Soma fall?
How hard will the flops flop?

Also here are July and August: http://www.shonenjump.com/j/comics/next.html

You replied to the wrong post XP

Also...yup, Samurai 8 has indeed been delayed to October. Why, I have no idea.

Also, looking at that July...yikes, Saiyuki and Yui have basically no chance.

Kinnikuman, Captain Tsubasa, Hokuto, Saint Seiya, Yu-Gi-Oh, Otoko Ippiki, Mazinger Z, Ring ni Kakero, Cobra, Kochikame, Sakigake, Rokudenashi, Dragon Quest,NuBe and Hoshin Engi are Jump titles I have not read yet.
They are still in my Plan to Read.

Slam Dunk and Dragon Ball are my favorite mangas of all time.
City Hunter I'm waiting to finish in English.
Kenshin and Toriko are Battle-Shounen which I really enjoyed reading recently.

No words about YuYu Hakusho.
It's a classic.
Reborn and Kuroko I liked it.
These are good titles.

Prince of Tennis I'm currently reading, it's very good.
Hikaru no Go and Eyeshield 21 are a Masterpiece of Shonen Jump.

Sexy Commando is the best gag manga of Jump.
Video Girl Ai and I"s are great romcoms.
Masakazu Katsura is a genius.

I would ask your opinion for this series:
Sorry in advance for the length:
Kinnikuman: the early gag material feels so odd and out of place so you really can’t start from that point comfortably, but if you start when the wrestling gets going you have one of the best series ever, all the way to the end of Ultimate Muscle. Skip the tag-team tournament series though, and go straight to the continuation of the original after that.
Captain Tsubasa: never less than enjoyable. From the original all the way to Rising Sun, I can’t put it down. A true classic in Jump history.
Dragon Ball: a singularly perfect work, even down to Toriyama making his drawings simpler and lightening his workload by introducing exciting new powers.
Saint Seiya: no love for the spin-offs, but the original has so much influence that you gotta love it.
Yu Yu Hakusho: shaky in places, but wildly experimental with genre as it goes on. Hunter x Hunter takes this further, but it’s what I love about Togashi
Slam Dunk: the best Jump manga ever. No question
Kenshin: people who ignore the author’s crimes because they just want to enjoy the comic are cowards.
YuGiOh: i love the first year, then it’s diminishing returns, but what a media empire!
TeniPuri: calling this merchandising/media empire a forgotten Jump sport comics is wild. It’s still so successful that the author can turn around and try being a popstar and NO ONE EVEN BLINKED
Reborn!: probably my favourite ending? True to itself to the very end
Toriko: good clean fun only tarnished by Shimabukuro’s past, especially when his crime is *slightly* more nuanced than a certain other creator’s
Kuroko: a marketing success for Jump. They gave it a spotlight out the gate and as the artist grew so did its audience. BUT I wish it ended earlier.
Otoko Ippiki: a pain in the arse to read nowadays, but still a really exciting delinquent series and you can FEEL how it made Jump what it is.
Mazinger Z: it’s really good. Quite daring, and until recently a MASSIVE BALLACHE, as chapters from some of the shueisha and kodansha runs were missing from collections.
Kochikame: Osamu Akimoto is a favourite of mine, and while a lot of this doesn’t age well (being a gag manga), I adored reading chapters of it as it ran
Cobra: better as an anime than a manga, which is super rare, BUT it still slaps as a manga
Rokudenashi Blues: good, funny, and from an artist with the best faces in comics. Not as good as ROOKIES, and I’ll fight anyone who diesn’t agree (kidding)
Dragon Quest: kinda sloppy at times, mostly because of its weird beginning as a short series, but still a proper epic, that built up its creators for their magnum opus years later with Beet
Hoshin Engi: is it weird to call a manga unadaptable when it’s had two animes and a stage show? Because really it is. Nothing else does it justice. Top 5 all time Jump manga
I”S: Massively formative for me. Kinda problematic even by the standards of the time, but it’s a soap opera, OF COURSE it’s gonna have iffy bits.
Hikaru no Go: it’s good
Eyeshield 21: went on too long, but was still good all the way to the end. I adore this one
