General question but did we get like 10 new members on this forum in the last month? I come back after a day or two and I see 2-3 new names just appear.

Togashi's pretty much in a perfect situation right now where he can make chapters at his own pace and show up and disappear in the magazine whenever he feels like it. Going monthly would just meaning deadlines he has to follow which he'd probably still miss half the time, it wouldn't help.

Yeah. I'm sure WSJ is fine with it as well.

I'm confident that the major announcement in Shokugeki final chapter is going to be anime new season. I'm also confident Boruto major announcement next week is going to be the movie.

And I'll be mad if that happens because I want a Black Clover movie.

People are probably getting sick of the discussion quality in 4chan TOC threads (which means - constant shitposts, false flags, "console wars" etc) and want an actual discussion.

possible dates for giga are either

June July August

or

July August September


they doesn't have to release in all 3, and i5 doesn't have to be super long per chapter

also the final volume could just be thicker

also don't rule out any other magazines as well

I feel bad we're in a WSJ era where something with as much promise as The Last Saiyuki is struggling so badly. I guess people just don't have patience for storytelling anymore.

That was my entire point. Just because something doesn't have a life or death fight for control of the fate of the world every chapter doesn't mean it is bad in any way.

The manga is hardly two volumes long. If it were intended to only be 5 volumes long or something, I could see it. But considering it runs in WSJ, it was likely intended to be much longer.

That being said, it has already had several fights, including introducing a major villain, the character development is on point, the art is great all around imo, character design is solid, I love the idea of "you can't stop the big bad from happening, you just have to be ready when it does come", and I also find the transformation and the ascended humans idea really interesting.

But everyone is allowed their own opinion. Unfortunately, it seems mine is in the minority, which is fine. I'm sure plenty of amazing manga have died well before their time.
