I doubt Kishi was all that heavily involved anyways. Probably would just skim a rough draft, make 1 or 2 corrections and then send it back. I think its obvious he was done with the Naruto world once he finished the manga.

I still doubt Jump would let Boruto go on with zero involvement from Kishi. It's his right as a creator.

I don't think he would have any issues with it. His name is there just to give credibility to the project and that hasn't prevented sales from plummeting anyways. Boruto just needs the anime staff get on with the Kawaki shit and get people excited cause nobody cares about these mini fillers they are doing. Nothing is gonna save the manga tho, art is flat out atrocious and pacing is bad as well

Come to think of it, isn't every other month a super weird release schedule? Is there anything like that?
I mean there’s whole manga magazines that run at that schedule, but as a feature in a more frequent magazine? None come to mind.

What though would the logic be in doubling the work Kishi would have to do editorially when he already has a new series to work on?

I am saying kishi wouldn't mind boruto going on without his "editorial" role. He's pretty much given kodachi/ikemoto carte blanche to do whatever.

Yeah, I think he's clearly moved on and is trying new things. Honestly, he probably was already putting more effort into Samurai 8 than Boruto since its conception.

How the hell did DBS get put in V-Jump while Boruto is in WSJ?
I still don't know. Not that it's prejudicing it but the normal would be on WSJ, considering that Boruto was there Monthly.

Because DBS was, from the very, very beginning, about marketing. Boruto was actually designed with an ounce of creative integrity.

Dude, do you read? M+ says SxF is every other Monday, no bi-monthly.

And guys, I think the more damning evidence is simply the matter of Kishi's time. He's simply not likely to have the ability to both do Samurai 8, and edit Boruto in a timely fashion. Slowing down production of Boruto is the only logical way to not actually kill Kishimoto.
I'm pretty sure Boruto has it's own editor. Kishimoto is just a supervisor.

It means something because Kishi is Boruto's supervising editor. Now that he's off doing Samurai 8, he's not likely to have much time to edit Boruto, and Jump is not likely to replace him because Naruto is his baby which he owns.
Not really. Kishi's role as supervisor is overrated by many.

"Kishimoto-san usually does an audit at the scenario stage. I am therefore free enough for the nemu [cut out, Ed] and the drawing. When the final nemu is ready, Kishimoto-san checks it and sometimes he comments on problematic or improvement issues. But as a rule, he lets me do it." (source)

Dr.Stone is only popular if you believe TOC rankings which i don't. Stone constantly rates well but nobody buys its tanks and its outsold by younger series with no upcoming anime
