Is Slime Life still ongoing, or did it finally conclude with this double volume release? As for TSS, I think it has the best chance out of the 3 new series to survive a bit, but I think it'll probably have a first chapter ranking almost smack dab in the middle, but then drop until it's bottom 3-5 material.
Slime Life is still ongoing.

Probably Matsui, dude knows how to make interesting manga, and considering he succeeded twice before, I can expect whatever he does next to be really good.

Which veteran are you most looking forward to return?
Obviously Matsui. Also Ryuhei Tamura.

I also hope Kenji Sakaki returns to WSJ (counting Enigma and Love Dester together here for the purpose).

Which veteran are you most looking forward to return?
Masahiro Hirakata. Killco-san has earned eternal goodwill from me, and Best Blue and that board/video game tie-in comic for Jump+ were neat

Which veteran are you most looking forward to return?
Numa Shun, Naoshi Komi, and Iwamoto Naoki are my top 3.

I'm honestly a bit interested in how Spring Weapon author's upcoming oneshot is going to be. After seeing Love Rush's author finding some success on Jump+ after the third try, I'm curious if he'd be able to do the same

Today's Kimetsu no Yaiba episode was fantastic. They've finally covered the slowest part of the series and with the main set of characters together now, they've started to really capture the spirit, and the comedy of the manga.

Which veteran are you most looking forward to return?
Tite Kubo. Despite how terrible Bleach became, I still have a massive soft spot for him and his style.

What is this sudden hatred for Nakano for.
there are many reasons for my hatred for Nak, here are some of them:

1- I legitimately believe Jump's current quality filter is pretty bad if there's any in the first place
Momiji, Invade you, Ne0, Higuma all getting to the magazine despite there miniseries on GIGA not doing well is a proof of that

I also think they need to be harsher and more strict, axing stuff by ch12 like the old regime, they have published many works that seems incomplete, undeveloped art wise and story wise, lacking direction etc... and yet the took spots in the magazine for months
there's no reason a work like SW#1 lasted for more than an year

2-he should stop shoving shit down our throats, Jump Push, Jump Raising, Jump Awakening, Jump Super Push, Jump Revolution, Jump 4 Emperors, Jump gag era, Jump dark hero era....all this halfassed campaigns gotta stop, or at least do them far apart from each other

3-his questionable choices like starting 2 series (Japan and David) in the same issue, of course they cannibalize each other and both flopped
what did he think was gonna happen?

4-starting a new serialization round during the last Gold Future Cup, how was that fair for the rest of the participants?

5-his lies, he claims that when putting the toc together he make sure to put space between similar manga
however this is a lie, there are many instances when BC and MHA where back to back of each other

6-his lack of planning, Kamio and Tasei debuting so close to each other with the exact same gimmick, is a proof of that
there was also that one week where Chainsaw man and Jujutsu debuted the exact same character (Kon the dog)

People just want a figurehead to blame for the magazine not being how they want, that’s it really
it almost if is he's the figurehead in charge of the magazine :-_-

Okay, but how is that on Nak? If anything, that is on the individual editors, but if they have different editors, there isn't really a way to notice that until it is too late, no?

editors looks at the chapters namu before giving them the ok to get inked
they know in advance what will publish when
there should be more coordination between the editors to avoid this kinda of clash

which goes back to my point of lack of supervision/planning

What was the last time a series that was really popular from Giga became a full series in WSJ? I can pretty much only think of those 4 off the top of my head

I say this is more on the deputy EiC, but I wanted to add that the 2 chapters was only separated by yuuna in the magazine (and in manga plus case if you read them in order like me, literally back to back)

The first point is quite subjective but Jump's policy has always been to throw a lot of stuff at the wall and see what sticks. The editors have said that the hurdle to get into the magazine is much lower than actually staying in the magazine. With regards to being stricter, stuff like Act-age could possibly have been lost if they didn't give them a little rope. Kimetsu is another case of a slow starter that while it was getting results, it slowly gained its fanbase. Nakano has said that there are more series now that take a little while to take off and struggle a bit in the beginning.

These campaigns are they're way of making sure every series that shows potential is given enough exposure and opportunity to take off. Hits don't always just happen, especially now when there are many more choices of entertainment for people. These campaigns are ways for people to at least see these series and try them out.

Which veteran are you most looking forward to return?
Tamura, Matsui, Iwashiro (tho I think the latter two will do even better in a seinen magazine, specially Iwashiro), Yabuki with a manga of his own

Speaking of recent hits struggling a little at first, I wonder if there are any hits now that would've been cancelled if they were still frequently kicking stuff out at ch 12.

Or the inverse, if there were series that got cancelled that fast in the past that were actually starting to pick up steam and could've made a comeback if they'd just been given an extra few chapters to see that momentum take effect.

Like didn't they used to cancel stuff before vol 1 even released on occasion? I know you can guess sales somewhat from the pre-orders but still, there's no faith then there's just giving it no chance at all.

Let's go through these one by one.

1. Literally no series of the modern era has HAD a high first print run. In an era where crazy "Whoa, I've never seen stuff like this!" reactions isn't a thing, you kinda have to work on building a fandom. Likewise, if you're talking "underdeveloped art", Act-Age had that, and it went on to still become part of the Jump canon.

2. As Ice-Emperor pointed out, that's just basic marketing. Working everything under a theme helps also figure out what does/doesn't work, and allows you to plan ahead.

3. By that point Jump's gag manga situation was critical, and I imagine launching David and Japan at the same time was a gimmick intended to cover for Sorachi leaving. Didn't work, but what have you.

4. Again, that's just how planning works. Tough luck on the GFC entrants, but what have you.

5. Again, resoundingly petty point. So what if that's what the ToC is like? The magazine is 75% battle manga already, of course there's going to be overlap.

6. Yui and Taisei have literally nothing in common beyond a split personality gimmick which is handled in very different ways. Poor example.

All in all, your points seem remarkably minor and petty and revolve entirely around trying to poke holes in Nakano's character over small things. Maybe, instead of leveling your bias, you actually consider getting a firmer argument.
