Yozakura is my favorite of the last batch.
Is very funny and cool, i hope that become a success.
While Mitama, it wasn't fun for me again. I will read at least the first 7 chapters to see if I will dropped or not.

If Double Taisei could've been more like this from the beginning, I think it would be faring better than it currently is. I think it'd still probably be in the ax-zone, but maybe its sales would've at least been somewhat higher. The artwork and fight scene was pretty top-notch this week, and I can't wait to see what's going to happen next week. Yozakura is continuing to hit everything I enjoy about a series: strong romance, good comedy, and an enjoyable ensemble of side characters. I hope it sticks around. Miitama was again alright. It's like 50% of the jokes land and the others miss. Still have that middle-ground response to it now.

Act-Age is looking like it'll set-up an interesting "fight" scene between our leading gentlemen now that the Choyoko-Yonagi battle has been pretty nicely examined. I'm glad the author doesn't seem like they're going to gloss over Araya and Riki's portion or this challenge. Yui Kamio was alright this chapter. I hope now that the series basically has 2 sets of characters in it (super-powered villains and regular human antagonists), I hope they have a chapter that kind of ties the 2 halves together a bit. I miss the girl who was using magic to make herself look like Yui and the karate gal. I'd be interested to see how some of these more "normal" characters would interact with the new ones post-mushi introduction.

Someone noticed the translator/editor of Spy x Family was changed this chapter to those working on Double Taisei which I guess confirms Viz licensed it. Interesting they'd replace the translators as well as do that before announcing the license or even hosting it on their own site

Mitama isn't great, but I'm really okay with the prospect of reading it weekly. I don't like the main character, which is a huge problem, but the design and actions of the spirits are amusing enough for me. The manga is fine for what it is, really.


Yozakura is really good, this chapter was the best one yet, I think. The story is progressing nicely and it seems we'll get to know the family gradually, which is good. The plot of the chapter was well-constructed as well, good gags and ideas.

I’m going to guess that whenever they announce the license for this for English release, they’ll redo the first couple chapters to account for the change in names.

BTW, I know it's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but doesn't anyone notice how weird it is that the latest chapter of Mitama teases a romance between the leads, in spite of one being a high-school student and the other being clearly an adult? Like, I know that's not uncommon in manga, but it just struck me as odd, especially so early on.

Still enjoying Yozakura, first chapter is still my favorite thus far tho its going very solid, crossing my fingers for this one. Really seems that Gondaira found his streak, would love to see other GFC winners that got axed in their first serialization to also come back and managing to make it.

Mitama is... Idk. It would be better as a one-shot, or at least the author should have worked the premise better because as it looks now every chapter will have the same jokes, he even used that "the protag says something cool and makes the girl blush" again in this chapter. The author doesn't strike as particularly funny.
Nothing to say about the manga I follow weekly. Neverland's chapter was ok to good and We Never Learn chapter wasn't as fun as it usually is. Which disappoints me, as they are usually my favorite weekly reads.

Meanwhile, my worries about Mitama have already started to come to pass. Chapter 2 is basically half-identical to Chapter 1, same basic narrative, same basic gags.

Mitama is funny as fuck,

Taisei is crazy as hell

Family has been fun and enjoyable

Shinobi coming out with an character having unique power system

This week jump is one of the strongest week with every manga having a high climax moment

Yeah, my first impresion was a mix of Mieruko(without the cool/terrifying art of the spirits) and maybe Neuro (the art remember me to Matsui in early Neuro).
It have the same problem that David and Saiyuki: It have potential, but you can only see their problem.

Yozakura didn't have a great start but the first 3 chapter were decent and have a decent interaction between the protagonist of each chapter and the MC.
