I dunno, going forward with your plans for genocide when you know there's a more peaceful and considerably less bloody option purely because you can't see yourself going back isn't exactly a moral high-ground. Norman's actions are understandable from the perspective of his character, but they're hardly objectively right.
More peaceful and considerable less bloody, but extremely less guaranteed if you are talking about the promise. When Emma went to make the new promise they didn't even know if they were going to come back alive and we don't even know yet what is the content of the new promise, it is probably something preposterous and, I'm certain, will make Emma sacrifice herself for everybody, typical shounen.

Again, exclusively regarding the ruling class. You realize there's meant to be a class discrepancy, right? Or do you think the entirety of demon society is just them? (There's a sociopolitical joke to be made)
Wrong again. It's explicitedly stated that their society enjoy the taste of meat its not just something separated between class. They see humans the same way we see cattle.

We know and have seen that demon society isn't just them, though, which is enough to validate Emma's stance entirely. You can argue the pacing was tad rushed in places, but this stance portrays an incredibly narrow-minded view of the world.
Not really. We haven't delved much into the normal class at all just a few panels of demon kids and that's it and the class discrepancy is entirely a personal vendetta against the ruling class in itself so Emma's stance doesn't hold any weight especially when the majority of the named demon characters only see humans as cattle.

Thank you. But I'm starting to remember why I stopped posting here in the first place.

if y'all this passionate about Neverland, just take you discussion to Neverland thread and spoil away
I was going to have them do that eventually. I'm just floored that ChocoBar9 decided to grace us with his presence again.

It's been a long time.

I still lurk on occasion since this is honestly one of the better sites to discuss Jump manga. It hasn't been THAT long. I see some regulars are absent though.

That's some of the most judgemental bullshit I've heard lately. M+ readers are people who like to read Jump manga, but have no access to WSJ or Jump+. How exactly does that make their opinion less relevant than those of any other Jump reader?

Also, yeah, Spy x Family is exactly like One Piece and Dragon Ball, obviously. That's why it's in the top 3, right? :eyeroll
Well, think what you want m8, but I am still convinced that M+ comments and overall reading audience aren't related at all.
I mean, they aren't well developed, it's more of "bruh it's bad" than anything else.
You know, they lack this kind of things which make you hear at someone speech and make you think "Yes, I understand and I agree/disagree".
Let's take an example you will surely understand : this conversation.
I think I didn't conveyed my way of reasoning clearly (mainly because I have troubles dealing with english and communication).
So now, you can disagree once again, but at least I think I have explained why I said that, for me, M+ comments are irrelevant.

But yeah, let's see it from another point of view : Spy X Family is not a WSJ series. It's released before, it stays alongside bottom 5 of WSJ and weekly releases like Summer Time Rendering.
It's a M+ manga.
People don't expect it to be the new One Piece or Dragon Ball (let's take my obviously exaggerated example, as you seemed to like them).

Take it easy, I understood your opinion, I even rethinked on mine, it's good. There will not be another response tho (mainly because writing a message here with a phone is a chore...)

I hope more old users that are now absent come back. I think I'm going crazy if the thread is dominated by newbies (and I talk as a newbie myself)
Glad you guys are back, Leo and ChocoBar59. It's nice to meet you two^^

I was told that you were banned. I guess that wasn't accurate?

Anyway, a lot has changed since you last posted. There basically wasn't any moderation happening in this section. Things started escalating a few months back, which prompted the need for a new moderator to be assigned here.

I feel like I've done a pretty good job cleaning up the place, all things considered. Occasionally I'll run into issues where users will post like how it was before moderation took place, which I can sympathize with. For years we were left to our own devices. You know better than anyone how hostile it was back then.

But yeah, that sort of thing isn't allowed anymore. I don't mind people speaking their minds, I just ask that insults not be thrown around. We're all adults here, after all.

Half true I just took a break from forums afterwards and decided to not post as often. I got DMs from Doughboy (does he still post here) from time to time though.

Well...its certainly better than how it was previously at least the shitposting have gone done considerably.

Yeah I still have that problem. Anyways you're doing a good job.

You also took a sabbatical year (or more in my case) after been banned? XP
@Buranchi will start to get worried about these thugs coming back. :XD

But I'm a grown up man now, I promise.:hi
Proof of that is that I realized already that it is becoming off-topic and I should take my leave for today.

if this does happen, i really hope we don't get Mitama vs Yozakura fan wars
we don't really need another Japan vs David or KnY vs Yuuna situation
I get Japan and David because both of them are gag manga, but was there a KnY vs Yuuna situation?

They grow up so fast.😢

Anyways I doubt the usual suspects will be posting again anytime soon. I probably won't be posting much either now that "real life" has gotten to me with my extended hiatus. Good to see some positive changes though.

I think Doughboy does, but I'm not 100% on that. And thanks.

You know, the funny thing is, I was kinda shocked when they asked me to be moderator. The reason being, I was a hardcore BC defender previously, and you and I got into very heated conversations about the series. At one point, I literally told you to fuck off, or something to that effect.

So, I was like, are you guys sure you want ME to moderate?! I would have thought openly cussing someone out permanently disqualified you. But, you know, I think they noticed how level-headed I was when the thread recently started getting very heated and certain users threatened to leave the site, etc.

That's why I'm happy I'm doing this, because this thread means a lot to me. There's glamour/prestige associated with this thread specifically. I mean, it's pretty much the premier source for WSJ news outside of Japan.

That means something to me. And it's why I constantly make sure I do my best to preserve it.

I'm more shocked that people cared enough about Japan to where they had debates surrounding it.

Norman said he can't going back after his actions. However, I really doubt this is the main reason why he oppose the less bloody option.

Norman still think his plan is the safest option for humans. It's true that extermination of demons will eliminate his threat to humanity (there are demons who really like human meat, even if they don't need this).

It is very likely that if Norman knew a totally safe way for cattle children, where the demons survive, Norman would take it. As you said, Norman knows that what he does is wrong.

I hate to do it guys, but that's enough TPN discussion in here. You guys can continue this conversation privately, or the specific section for TPN.

Maxy and Vince also returned to this thread too after disappearing for many many years
this is a nice year

You talk as if I'm someone respected in this community, you certainly are new around here. XD
i think your opinions are as respected as much as anyone here except 3 things that really got people mad at you back in the days
1-you're biased toward nisekoi, i think you once called it the greatest romcom manga or something, people really hated nisekoi with passion
2- when you said Sakura is a realistic representation for real life girls and Kishi writes good girls (thats really got every female member in this thread mad at you it was hilarious :XD:XD:XD:XD:XD)
3-and people noticed you are like reverse sharkbait you have "cute girls = good manga" agenda :3c

i think he only post on wsm threads

I get Japan and David because they're gag manga, but was there a KnY vs Yuuna situation?
yes, nothing as serious as bc vs mha, but it was there

kny first couple of arc wasn't liked (it wasn't as liked until the spider family arc) while yuuna was pretty liked
so when kny first volume didn't rank in oricon meanwhile yuuna first volume sold 90k (oh how times have changed) yuuna fans felt it's validated and felt the need to beat on kny
