I see

so let me correct myself

i still think the series doesn't need the time skip and i still think retrieval mission should have been the last arc

but these plot points and flashbacks you have mentioned can be rearranged into the story to make it happen before retrieval mission arc

so yeah, you convinced me, 27 volumes are not enough

i mean, he was a threat even before the point where the manga started and he's a threat even now, so what really changed
Idk what for story u want but shippuden is already revolutionary written. U gonna end it with do many plot holes, are u an fan of naruto or just watched it?. Cuz you ignore alot of key points

If I had time I would pick each issue and calculate the average length of the series in each one to see what era had the longest series and the shortest series because I have a feeling that the series on going right now are all very young besides One Piece, so I wanted to see if there is a pattern. It would take a long time to do this.

Let's not forget this legendary cover

That man was later found strapped to a chair in Gataro Man's basement, missing an eye, eight fingers, and his liver. A large object, suspected to be an eggplant, was found shoved up his anal cavity, while two tubes had been been attached to his nipples. After recovering in intensive care, the man had just one thing to tell to the police before he took his own life.

I never realized how bizarre Double Arts case was since I found about it after I started to read Nisekoi and looked for Komi Naoshi past works.
It started, then in chapter 13 it got a cover with a 45 pages chapter(!) and then it was cancelled 10 issues after that. lol
What the hell happened?

Since rain talked about digital vs physical manga before, I was wondering, how do you mostly read manga?
Do you tend to buy the physical copies or volume and read online?
Only read through digital, be it for volumes and even weekly chapters?
Do you mostly read on computer or on phone/tablet?

I mostly read on computer because the screen is way bigger and for some series in Japanese, it's much easier to make out the characters especially when the font is small, otherwise I mostly read on phone since I don't have a tablet.
Reading on computer also makes it way faster to access the huge library I have between magazines and volumes of series.
I've stopped buying physical volumes but that's only because of convenience since those take a lot of place and importing those at 10€/volume is just too expensive when I can just get a volume for 2-3€ digitally.

like reading HxH on a phone is a nightmare considering how much text there is
I buy a few select magazines (to which I have a subscription through honto.jp) mostly because I've found that getting the magazine itself, makes it way easier for me to know what's actually going on with the series in the main magazines and also it makes it easier to know what new series are actually published. usually when I like a new series I decide whether I want to buy the volumes if it's interests me enough, a lot of times it doesn't so I just end up quickly reading through each week. I'm also in the process of getting some volumes I had physically before of authors I really like and buying volumes of ongoing series I once followed through scans.
Though I've become much stricter in what series I follow right now or which series I buy the volumes off since if I bought everything I wanted I'd end up spending that much:

Yep manga is expensive when you actually buy volumes 😱

That's incredible 😵
This might be an investment but you should check out eOneBook. It's a digital tablet that read like a manga. I backed this project along with 72 volumes of naruto for 48000~50000 yen, and now i can just get their reader card and can read multiple series (like a special formatted sd card)

Once my arrived in December i'll post some pictures since December is a slow month anyways, with so many breaks

regarding the questions, i buy physical volumes, but i don't buy all of them ofc. For Jump I have

Physical:
70 volumes of One Piece
25 volumes of Nisekoi (completed)
18 volumes of Dr Slump (completed)
37 volumes of Eyeshield21 (completed)
16 volumes of Food War
4 volumes of Yuragi sou no Yuuna san

Digital:
Soon to be 72 volumes of Naruto

Back in the days I have complete collection of Dragonball, Yuyu hakusho too

Damn, the recency bias is strong with the poll.
How on earth can you vote for a manga just have not even release its first volume over other legendary titles?
It's also bafflingly hilarious when the leading title is We Never Learn. Fyi, I do enjoy reading wnl, but this manga's romance aspect is underwhelming at best.
The only justified reason I can think of to vote for them is that they're the only title you read in the list.

This poll wasn't my idea, nor do I typically read romcoms to begin with. It's not really a genre I've been interested in.

There isn't a rule that states that you have to be well versed with every series to vote in the poll.

I know of comicvine and its detail for a while now, but I just suddenly realize something...

give me a sec (or more accurately a few hours)
done with the first part, I'm disregarding the coverssince I don't want it to run for to long (though I could just take the link for the cover, but the one on grid is on lower quality so nah)

2nd part is way easier, but definitely take longer since well... there are a few thousand of these

I think it's more to do with a lot not being widely available before Nisekoi. Viz attempted Ichigo and Seven Seas currently doing To Love Ru and I think they're all fan scanned but if someone on one of those sites is looking for a new series and isn't into rom-coms why would they read them? Now Viz has translated WNL and Yozakura from the start so they're easier to just "oh cool chapter 1 of a new series". I think if this poll was done in the Magazine thread you'd probably get a bunch of Quints votes but it would be a lot more spread.

Is there a rule that forbid me from criticising people partake in the poll?

I confess that my limitation in this poll is before To Love Ru, but from To Love Ru and below I have reasons not to vote for any of them, besides Nisekoi, which was my vote. When I say to people that Nisekoi is my favorite manga (very tied up with Tegami Bachi, honestly), people look at me like I'm crazy, but it is simple. There is a difference between your favorite manga and the one you think is the best technically speaking. Nisekoi was not the best manga I've read, but certainly it was I had the most fun reading and every time I pick my collection to read a few chapters I have fun, I never get tired of it, that is what favorite means to me. Now when we talk about the best technically, then it is a much more complex discussion and probably the majority of the Jump manga wouldn't even enter in the discussion anyway.

Since we're on the subject, would it be accurate to say Nisekoi is the biggest romcom Jump has ever run? It's kind of like the Naruto of the genre, weird as it is to say.
