I'm not sure about Yozakura and Mitama, remember we're losing the 4 big flops now so, unless they start ranking above some established stuff, even if they can keep their spot above Samurai 8 they'll still only have Samurai 8 padding the bottom for a bit until these new series get ranked.

Granted they seem to be giving new series a lot more let recently so they'll be safe until then but still, they're not in a blessed situation like Yui Kamio.

Hm, Weekly Shonen Jump-only app? Or an app for literally everything from Shueisha in the 'Jump' sector?

I love this colouring. I am looking forward to reading it this week, hoping it's a nice one.

Just want to point out that apparently this article from Crunchroll says that Kimetsu surpassed Bleach and MHA in sales but has we know it this numbers are from print and not sales. Miscommunication can happen.
That's talking about them all at similar points in their runs, so when Bleach and MHA were at whatever KnY's latest volume is at.

KnY could very well be ahead of both at that point. It doesn't mean overall, though. At least, I don't believe.

Wow Kimetsu is on track to beat BLEACH's sales (as in the sales BLEACH had achieved at the time it had reached a certain amount of volumes).

In 2006 Bleach had sold 30 million with 22 volumes, I can only imagine Kimetsu will manage to beat BLEACH's 30 million by volume 20...

Btw BLEACH's highest sale volume (as of the time it had reached volume 22) is volume 21 with 1,260,000 copies .

Question: are print numbers determined by Jump? I keep getting confused about the difference between print and sales

20M is comics this is series,

but since the gap is too big to make sense, let say 20M didn't include volume 18m also throw in digital
Crap.. my last post about Yaiba potentially overthrowing BLEACH's sales ;/

Anyway it's still possible, just harder.

Print is the amount they push out to circulation. Sales figures are how much the series has sold of that amount. Shuiesha gives out the print which is usually on the frint of every new volume. Since they're shippig out 1 million copies the expect v18 to sell that amount. In 2014 OP had a record printing of 4 million I believe.

Dunno if that was said already:

Toho producing does however mean it's definitely not Toei, since I think they produce all their own shows. I don't think they produce any Pierrot stuff either.

There's a bunch of different possibilities though, tons of studios have done shows with Toho behind them.

I must be the only one who thinks they've been underprinting MHA? Or do you think MHA sales are where it should be? How about the rest of y'all here?

A first print of 1 million copies is insane, only other series currently that have over a 1m first print are ONE PIECE, Attack on Titan, and Hunter x Hunter

Also to compare with other series' peak first print from this decade of Jump

Kimetsu no Yaiba #18 - 1 million
Assassination Classroom #6 - 1 million
Haikyu!! #19/20 - 780k
My Hero Academia #16 - 650k
The Promised Neverland #13 - 550k

Last year was definitely underprinted but they seem to be on top of it this year. Kimetsu is riding a high primarily due to how sought after the manga volumes has become due to the low stock meaning people are buying more than the demand can give.

It's really up to the author, remember Ass Class was a very strong #2 in the magazine when it ended at less than 200 chapters. If Gotouge wants to finish it after the current arc then it'll end, they don't seem to force extra arcs any more.
