Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Pretty excited for upcoming leaks since the new series this week seems to be the one we have the least info about the series and the mangaka

Wow. Looking at that poll, Bone Collection is even less popular than I thought. o.o

The Vertical World and Moonland also seem to be in their final arcs (though The Vertical World has felt close to ending at least five times before, so who knows). I hope they're not waiting for everything to finish before starting something new.

Wow, Jump Plus is losing a lot of series this month. I guess that they're gearing up for a big serialization round in July.
I thought jump plus was more relax on censorship and canceling than shonen jump like pocket magazine and manga one. I guess since jigokuraku, world end harem, and spy x family are so huge they may be taking it more seriously as it’s own separate publication rather than “the digital shonen jump”.

not sure what censorship has to do with this but they are more relax on cancellation. Hachuurui-chan wa Natsukanai started exactly a year ago so it lasted far longer than most Jump axes would and RWBY is a multi-media tie-in which regularly only last a few volumes so I doubt it was axed rather only planned to be 3 volumes from the start with probably a new RWBY manga starting in a few months to take its place like when the previous one ended.

Looking at a series by a time duration and comparing it to Jump series is completely useless since it had shorter chapters (last one was just 8 pages long only) and a flexible schedule with breaks here and there. Also, a volume of Hachurui requires much more than a regular newbie does, so of course it would need to last longer to fill that. It will barely be consisting of 3 volumes only when all is said and done (because the final vol is out in August). Not going to discuss RWBY since I don't know much about that one but it had very poor views in the app, so who knows, plus it gets a Vol 2 and 3 dump in a same month.

I've noticed J+ almost always gives a newbie at least a 3 vols run before doing an end or axe recently.

my point was Jump+ is more relax than WSJ in terms of axe so I really don't get what a lot of your response is about. David-kun needed more chapters than a regular series and they still axed it at 35 chapters so it didn't last a full year.

Is this the first isekai of the shonen jump?

A reverse isekai, but still an isekai.
An isekai starring baby C'thullu, apparently. I hope this a big hit now.

This is hardly the first series to have a being from another world come into ours. Death Note, Beelzebub, To Love Ru, and World Trigger all immediately spring to mind.

Tell me why the first time I heard about this manga I thought it was a dragon ball spin off about beerus.
Dragon Ball Super: the exciting prequel!

I'd watch it.

Doesn't Bone Collection have pretty much the same premise? Just replace God of Destruction by yokai...

The whining comments kkkk can't wait to see when they announce the last series :XD
it will be complicated this manga and the new ones survive, now that mashle and moriking are doing well.

Thinking now, Magu-chan really resembles Moriking a lot with being a comedy about a powerful creature living a regular life with a normal kid, could see Magu-chan being outshined by Moriking, but Tamura and the last gag series are different than Mashle.

Tamura's manga doesn't inspire confidence either.
to be honest, I think this is the weakest wave of the year, the only one that has any potential for survival is the Ayakashi triangle, because it comes in the place of yuuna.

isn't it a little early to say that? Remember no one had any expectations for Mashle and thought Guardian of the Witch would be the best based on preview images.
