Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

No way a DQ Dai anime remake! I was just about to started reading that 2 months ago but stopped because I got addicted to Beastars.

DQ got a remake so where is Toriko!!!
DQ is much much more profitable than Toriko so it only makes sense.

Man, I wish JJK's super stage was today, I'm so curious to what they're going to show us.
PV & Visual + Staff. Let's see if its MAPPA. I think its likely given the visual.

I hope I'm allowed to do this without getting punished. You guys see that Naruto and Black Clover poster? What's it for? Is there gonna be a crossover

Also that Black Coover visual looking sweet 😊 They gonna put more money into the second half of the elf war arc?
It's probably just because they are both made by Pierrot and are ongoing, nothing much. Also, BC anime is close to the end of the second half of the elf arc already, that big fight is happening in a few episodes.

Dai anime news is great. I was gonna watch the original adaptation, but if this is a straight remake, and a good one at that, I can wait a year!

This edition seems it broke records in attendance
I am VERY curious about how that Yaiba Super Stage will go tomorow.

Toei will be plenty great on it depending on what staff will be into it, like DBS Broly, Kitaro and Hugtto Precure were. If they are even involved considering how few new adaptations they are picking for years, which is basically zero.
And also it increases a lot the chance of being a long running adaptation that covers the entire manga

They will probably announce a video game

That would be good. DQ has picked up a lot of momentum with the west this year. (Cause of Jump force and Smash) Maybe this will make it a mainstream anime/manga outside Japan and Arabic countries 🤷🏾‍♂️

That's more to do with what Shueisha, Square Enix and the others want than them tbh. Toei only appears in those long-running because they are partners with TV Stations (Fuji TV, TV Asahi) that want long-running anime in their catalogue or production committee that wants it. And, they are some of the ones that accept those kind of contracts and can do that with their size, like TMS, OLM and others that also do long-running.

But at the same time, they only have three long-running currently which are Kitaro (about to end), Star Twinkle Precure (about to end, beginning the new one on february) and One Piece. The rest are either movies from those and other franchises, Toei only as a producer like with new Digimon or Saintia Sho or ONA like the Netflix Saint Seiya.

Chainsaw Man has apparently surpassed 1 million copies. Based on Japanese tweets from Festa.
That's what we like to see. It definitely deserves it

1 million?? Holy shit, is that fast or slow compared to Jujutsu and Act Age?

Yeah it would most likely be print. No confirmation tho, so won't go further into it.

I want to write profanities loL! That's how excited I'm for Dai No Daiboken's remake, it was always a mystery to me (and many others) how a series that by all means should have been profitable was cut by Toei with only like 52 episodes...

Hopefully this isn't a Hoshin Engi scenario where the remake kinda sucked...Hopefully this is an entire adaptation.. I don't know why but I think the studio that did Jojo and Captain Tsuabasa is doing it.. Like maybe they are trying to speciallize in doing remakes of old series (Hopefully they are the studio, they do good work).

Also love how every year or two we are getting like remakes of old anime, e.g. Jojo, Captain Tsubasa and now Dai No Daiboken, even outside Jump with titles like Parasyte, Ushio to Tora, Banana Fish, Devilman (Though this one was more like a re-imagining rather than an adaptation, though it was awesome) it's exciting that even old titles are getting anime adaptations/remakes...

This begs the question, how can one of Jump biggest sellers doesn't have a complete adaptation? (Slam Dunk).. Surely there's money to be made doing a complete remake of it?

Also outside Jump I would love to see a Sanctuary anime, though it's Yakuza... So maybe that's offlimits?

Maybe this is already counting the next volume and the new reprints it will get next month? Still super nice, hopefully it can only grow from now on.

A studio don't cut an anime, maybe except for Kyoani which leads all their production committee since 2010s. That ended because the 52 episodes were what was greelit and not more, which I don't know the ccompanies on the committee at the time but it wouldn't be the decision of the studio.

Also, we don't know if this is a remake or a sequel afaik.

New Yu-Gi-Oh anime.

This event's been wild. Man, why wasn't Jump Festa next week. We're gonna be going two weeks without Jump issues.
