I don't get why they halved the volume ranking? Seems silly tbh...

I love KNY but seeing it hog all charts feels off to me...

Heck it even dominated the Light Novel and Overall Fiction charts..

[Tamil]

What are the chances of kimetsu no yaiba beating one piece in a second consecutive year?

It'll be riding off the potential boost from Demon Train movie & final volume imo so its highly likely

Is this the first time we're seeing a Jump+ title making the top 10? Congrats to SxF in that regard then and in general.

To think the quints are almost close to OP by 600k heh.

[TyVip]

spy could sneak up to end of the year top 10, go go go

Haikyuu above SnK feels so good

[James Rye]

He is having a meltdown right now. From an user on WSJ Discord he says something in these lines (Note: this is a digital-only volumes manga): "Thank you very much, but unfortunately this is the end. This is a natural result because the sales of Volume 1 e-books were terrible. It was all my lack of power, and a result that betrays the expectations of everyone who purchased in hopes of continuation. Sincere apologies from us, I am sorry"

Wait, what? This ended??? Why? It was good, it was solid, it was enjoyable and it got a similar story-set-up like White Knight, why did it fail? Curse you, Time Paradox Ghostwriter! You lied to me! D:

[Ryuusei]

Seeing Spy x Family 3 sell as much as My Hero Academia 25 and The Promised Neverland 17 shows how big the series already is, we can only imagine what an anime adaptation can do to its numbers. One Piece 95 not even crossing 2 million yet, despite being almost 5 months old is pretty awkward? For a series that used to cross 2 million so easily, I mean. If we follow a pattern, One Piece 96 will only cross 2 million in 6 or 7 months.

WT 49th place! Hell yeah! And to think I feared it would be cast into the realm of forgotten manga series after its two year hiatus! Still going strong and kicking Trion butts even as a monthly series! <3
SxF is insane though. Did SxF V.1 ever drop out of the Top50 sellers or did it really stay there for a whole year?

[Jovan]

Apparently the editor of Angyaman (the mangaka for just ended J+/MangaPlus series East, Into the Night) told him he is crap/shit?? Hopefully someone with better knowledge of Japanese helps out here, but ouch if true.

It hasn't been in the top 50 in a while now (early February I believe), but if Shoseki is to be believed, it was very often just behind (as in top 60) and only went below 100th place once (Vol. 1 was 129th during the April 20-April 26 week) since the beginning of 2020. I don't remember how it did last year though, but it was roughly the same

He's actually saying that, because of him, his editor got called crap/shit (probably by his superiors)

Oh wow, that is awful to read. Seems like a very toxic environment to work in. Mocking/insulting colleagues because of the failures (and that in an industry where failures are too often)....seriously?

Thank you!

ボロクソ

means closer to 'worthless' or 'bad reputation' I think. Closer to 'people are speaking ill of him' than being called shit.
