Where did you get the 21+ rankings
Wouldn't JJK Bc etc rankings also be available then
The rest was posted on Tieba. Also this one is for 12/23~12/29, it was late so we're only getting it now.

Legit, is there anything comparable to what's happened with Samurai 8 in manga history? Some series like Gun Blaze West flopped harder, but I can't think of a case of a major creator returning with massive amounts of hype and promotion, only to miss the beat so much.
Just of the top of my head, Buyuden (from Major's author) had a pretty big first print (won't recall the exact numbers, it has been a while) and sold basically nothing. It was Sunday, though, so it still ran from 10 volumes or so. Big flops do happen. I mean, in a sense it's hard to be anything like Samurai 8 because there aren't many series that sold like Naruto, it starts way higher. Besides, we don't have much information about promotion and expectations from more than a few years to actually compare it "in manga history".

I thought Kirishima and Fatgum vs Rappa looked fine, but other than that, I agree. It’s a shame, since there was a lot of time between seasons. Not sure what happened.
Hopefully this next fight and the rest of the season really goes the distance in making up for the beginning.
The second movie happened.

Unless Hunter x Hunter is coming back, they really don't have any reason to cancel anything now, it will be 5 new series taking in count Zipman and Agravity Boys and we had 5 series ending: Kamio Yui, TSS, BC, Taisei and Stone's spinoff.

I know he literally didn't said but can be take as some kind of "tease", but yeah, it's hard to see the manga going for 20 volumes at this point.
With the current chapter count, it has content for volume 16. I can see it reaching 20 volumes, so about 36 chapters and ending in half 2020.

Last year the first movie was released while the third season was airing. It doesn't seem to correlate.
What he meant (and what I thought as well but didn't mention) was that back then Season 3 was seen as a step down from Season 2 in terms of animation quality (hell, some still share that opinion) and the common reasoning for that was because the HeroAca anime staff was split between the anime and the movie. And of course, the movie had to look better, so it got more of the talent, so to speak. This same situation seems to have happened wth Season 4 and the second movie. At least, a lot of fans blamed the second movie for the Mirio episode looking the way it did.
I could be entirely wrong on this, but that's just what I've gathered.

Yutapon will have a few cuts next week so I'm hoping for some good stuff. This season looked rather promising at the beginning but the fights have been all flat. I'm really curious if we'll see some effect on the backlog next week if the next episode turns out to be a really good one.
We still have the concert at the end of this season, that could also provide a boost if they play their cards right. Not to mention it could be a career-altering moment for the seiyuu. They're really gonna have to animate and direct that moment perfectly.

Spy X Family's success continues.(Vol 3 also is doing pretty well).

Now when it arrives in English I will need to buy it and add it to my collections.

The fact that season 3 didn't suffered as much with movie 1 doesn't mean that season 4 didn't with movie 2, what would be the other reason? they had a movie that need to meet expectations being produced together with the tv anime, of course the team was split and the best ones moved to the movie, it's like 1+1, no much mystery

Also discussions about s8 is boring and repetitive.
It's not even a fun flop like U19. It's in the same tier with hungry marie and that axed golf manga, a benchmark for newbie's performance.

Your post just ... kinda made me feel depressed me lol
Because:

a) It reminded me of the incomplete remake Hoshin Engi got some years ago and,
b) It reminded me of how we haven't gotten a remake/continuation of Jump Ultimate Stars.. Seriously if they got the license to JUS and made it a phone game I'd be spending money like crazy lol, it's not like the battle system was that complicated.
