Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

just because it has more manga with scenes of nudity and sex (chainsaw man), it doesn’t take away the fact of having a scene of the protagonist touching the girl against her will.
Dude, I think he was talking about Ishuzoku Reviewers, not UxU.

Looks like another 2mln-ish week for Kimetsu considering the volumes are between Nanatsu and Uchu Kyodai

Chainsaw backlog is actually pretty high, I'm guessing this is from the shops recommendations advertisement?

So, little fun fact, Yuki Tabata specifically says that, with Hungry Joker, he feels the reason the series failed to garner an audience was because of the characterization of main protagonist Heiji, who was extremely cold and emotionally disconnected from the situation. Tabata feels that kind of protagonist made it too difficult for readers to attach themselves to the story, hence why Asta was made to be so loud.

I'm mentioning this because, looking at Mashle, I kinda suspect the same thing might happen. Japanese audiences might simply not take to a protagonist who acts completely stoic and deadpan about everything.
Battle manga take themselves seriously. That's why if you dont get that across, the series becomes cringe and fails.

Very different from a comedy like Mashle which is very much like Saiki which is meant to parody various settings.
Not to mention, the success of Mob, OPM are all examples of this working

New Black Clover OP in ultra garbage quality.
Well, this is a steep drop in OP quality for BC, which is known for well animated OPs. It shows the schedule is taking an even worse toll on the production.

Withouth a doubt, Posuka has one of the best (if not the best) colorings in WSJ.

CSM backlog has been selling well for a while now. I guess it's a mix from the awards it got and the surge in popularity so the mouth to mouth is helping.

Simple yet really nice cover. I think this is the "cleanest" JJK cover we've got so far, Akutami's covers tend to be kind of rough.

Even though Black Clover is consistently high-preforming as a TV anime?
Black Clover fans are always ready to blame the anime, without even thinking that maybe the fault is also the manga.

New Black Clover OP in ultra garbage quality.
the difference between mashle and hungry joker is that mashle is MEANT to be parody & comedic, his archetype contrast easily in his own world were people are obsessed with magic while mash give you that '''i dont give a fk'' attitude which makes it automatically hilarious, like shittt i was annoyed as hell how that Guy bullied mash on the latest chapter and i rooted for him what he did at the end.

hungry joker is ur serious shonen battle manga and having a serious mc like heiji is hard to pull of cuz you have many other serious characters that do the same thing which make it automatically stale, not saying ya cant pull it off but just as tabata says... its hard.

which why a character like kaneki from tokyo ghoul, goes to different fases which make you feel attached and sad for the character. but also happy when he pulls edgy stunts (the moment when his hair turned white for example)

its just how well an author can pull it off & the author of mashle is aware which that alone give me fate its an survivng canidate between all the axe fodders
