Not just your favourite flops, rather which authors do you think will do well with more experience and the right idea?
Yuushin Kuroki (
Teenage Renaissance! David) is on a promising track.
David really won people over after the first few mediocre chapters, and people seemed to really enjoy his... more risqué drawings. I can easily see him coming back to write Jump's next popular ecchi manga after
Yuuna ends.
I can also see Kento Matsuura (
Tokyo Shinobi Squad artist) starting a series with Tougo Kotou soon since they recently did another one-shot together. I'm honestly surprised that Matsuura didn't debut with Kotou in the first place. His art is already very polished and has room to get even better.
Finally, not a lot of people really cared about
Beast Children, but I think that Kento Terasaka can do a lot better with a second go. The series was pretty rough overall, but clearly had a lot of passion put into it. While the art noticeably degraded toward the end of the series, he was experimenting with a lot of cool perspectives and layouts that could totally work with more experience!
