Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Looking at the backlogs rising up again, seems the ending boosted the manga once more. Regarding vol 20, I knew it would sell more or less like vol 19, so no surprise but still let's wait Oricon.

Act-Age backlog is also holding up a lot better this time around. When Volume 10 released in February, the full backlog only lasted around 3-4 days (with volumes falling in and out). This time around, no volume has fallen below the 400 mark yet (with the exception of two volumes that were around 400-410 on one day and rebounded by the next). Hopefully that same rebound happens to Volume 7, which is currently the lowest at 390.

No surprise it's being released here considering how big Food Wars is in America, looking forward to reading it.

Since next week OP is on break we are getting a new oneshot for sure. I wonder if by a new author or by another veteran.

I was wondering if a veteran successful author would return to WSJ this year with a serialized series, besides Kubo. And if that were to happen, wich author you guys would want to return?

I would love to see something new from Ryuuhei, Matsui or Fujimaki.

I'd like Matsui. They teased his "new series" back in the Korosensei Quest anime like 2 or 3 years ago (although I'm sure it was just a joke) and he's made two fairly different yet still enjoyable series and I liked F-Ken (although I think it should be left as a one-shot) which was different yet again so I trust him to make another fun, unique and good series.

I guess that Meiryoutei was a decent success, but i'd say Hajime Kazu.

Definitely would be super hyped if Matsui or Komi came back.

I have a question for everyone.

Now that KnY has concluded, which series do you think will most likely get KnY's votes in the ToC?

Yeah, I also think that F-Ken shouldn't get serialized, and even though I didn't like it, I love the fact that it was very different from his previous works.

I think that Jump would benefit a lot from more authors like him and Ohba who have those series between 100 to 200 chapters every here and then and are bold enough to try more unique and different things, even if they don't work.

Weirdly enough I think that Kny Fans would be very inclined to like AA. Gotouge's writing reminds me a lot from Slice of Drama mangas sometimes.

Although obviously not all the votes that DS received will go to the same site, but I am convinced that they will be distributed by the new manga. I think very few will go for the old.

It'll have to be some newer manga. Don't see older series like MHA or HQ getting more votes. I can see it some going to JK and CSM since they are both battle manga and are newer with no new anime yet.
But I think the highest opportunity to capitalize on KNY's end would be for a brand new manga.

when the top 3 resident Assassination Classroom ended the ranking stayed the same. Sometimes you get multiple issues where Yuuna and Kimetsu were in the top 5 but they usually occupied by the regular One Piece, Hero, Haikyuu, Black Clover, Food Wars, Hinomaru Zumou

I don't think it will change, but hopefully the new one gets votes and sales

Regarding the Toc, this is going to be more interesting to see when Neverland ends, since it usually is top-3 spot always.

I can see the top-2 being locked to One Piece and Dr.Stone (Dr.Stone is almost always top-3). Then the third place will be competition between MHA and Haikyuu (and maybe Black Clover sometimes). Closing the top-5 with maybe Mashle.

In this situation, for the moment I see Jujutsu, Act-age and Chainsawman remaining in the middle-tier for a while.

PD: I hope Act-age gets a good rank this week. It has been a lot of weeks with it unfairly in the bottom

I feel most that actually read KnY through buying physical issues probably already had other favs. So while they may have a new free vote, it’s probably already a popular series like MHA or JJK that already frequent the top anyway.

And people who were reading the magazine just for KnY probably weren’t voting much to begin with, or won’t continue with the magazine now that it’s other

Probably new manga. I'm more interested in if there'll be a manga that will capitalize on the second place of the ToC or if there'll be a lot of competition for that. The second place wasn't taken by either One Piece or Kimetsu no Yaiba only twice this year (not counting covers), once on issue #9 (Kimetsu had a CP and OP was third behind Jujutsu Kaisen) and another time on issue #24 (One Piece was on break and Kimetsu had another CP). Meanwhile, the third place was also very disputed by One Piece and Kimetsu and most of the times either series fell to the third place was because a series other than them had the cover and LCP (Kimetsu got third place on issues #3, #4-5, #8, #10, #12, #16 and #20 while One Piece got it on issues #1, #9, #15, #17, #21-22 and #23).

Reminder that when I say second and third place I'm counting the cover which is the first place.

Unless you're counting out the cover series, The Promised Neverland and Dr. Stone have only been in the top 3 three times this year. As I said previously, the top 3 has usually been One Piece, Kimetsu no Yaiba and the cover series.
