Moderator Notice: Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.
These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Not even once. The top 10 is comprised mostly of long running series the air in ther morning or afternoon. One Piece and My Hero Academia have been the only two Jump animes able to place in the top 10.
Like 99% of the big hyped seasonal animes never get in the top 10, one because they are most late night and the top 10 is already quite crowded with big longtime franchises
Just checked on ANN and Boruto also appeared in November last year.

Yeah, that was a night where most or all of the bigger shows took a week off, so you had Boruto, Iruma-kun, and Vinland Saga were able to make the list.
Most late night anime air on cable channels which don’t have the reach like free to air does so it’s tough on them from the start in that regard. I think Chihayafuru aired on NTV, one of the top 3 free to air channels so it definitely helped their cause there. Probably the only chance any late night show can get on that top ten is if one of the veteran shows goes on break.
Even Jump anime like Naruto, Bleach and Gintama in their heyday had favorable primetime night time slots (all three premiered at around the 7-8pm mark) and even then they wouldn’t make the top 10 every week, although Naruto definitely kept its audience well in TV Tokyo’s 7:30pm slot while Bleach and Gintama got moved to 6pm.

Don’t know if it’s been posted here yet but half year franchise sales chart from Oricon has been released:
Kimetsu lapping everyone as expected, One Piece and Haikyuu in the top 5, with BnHA, Neverland and Spy x Family also making the top 30.
Since MAL maybe the largest anime database site,I think it is nice that we have a thread which keeps TV viewership ratings and recording ratings where people can look up numbers. Although, they might not be strongly correlated with popularity among anime fans(ani-ota) in Japan,I think it shows...

Kimetsu moved up into the top 10 DVR ratings regularly during the second half. Latest rating week I recorded (unfortunately they wiped most of their past data from their site at some point, but I got the data before then)

I know it will eventually be adapted, but I want sooo much an Act-Age anime. I wonder a lot which studio and staff will adapt, I am very afraid of the direction being weak.
