Magu-chan is definitely proving itself as the best newbie of this batch, Dolphin coming in second to me

TPGW is rushing things a bit to much for me, hope the author ain’t trying to tie things up already

Chainsawman with another great chapter, really can’t tell how things will turn out. Mashle setting things up nicely with some battles as well as some future plot points, Act age was nice as well

Moriking is still a nice chill read, Yozakura this week went from another seemingly episodic chapter into some plot progression, I appreciate that

Something about Bone Collection keeps me hooked. Why am I such a sap for anything exorcist lol and Ayakashi Triangle too and panty shots and bewbies arent even my thing.

Actually Ayakashi had me wondering if its go the BL route considering the male rival having some attraction....please make it happen.

WSJ felt weird to read this week. With OP and MHA off, and Neverland and Kimetsu ended, it's a week where the the big 3 are Haikyuu, Jujutsu Kaisen, and I guess Dr Stone. An Haikyuu's ending too. Imagine if we get another issue soon without OP or MHA, the issue's top 3 biggest series would be Jujutsu Kaisen, Dr Stone, and Black Clover. What an odd feeling that'd be.

I liked Roboco more this week, Magu-chan was still just as fun, and Ayakashi continues to grow on me every chapter. Not feeling Cop and Dolphin though, I like the ideas of the premise but the structure and style of it so far just isn't capturing my attention much. I never liked Beel all that much either though so maybe Tamura's style just isn't my thing.

Ghost Writer feels like it's rushing through plot points as fast as it can, I can't imagine this is the original plan for how the story would be paced. It's like we're on what should've been the 4th arc at this point, if it's skipping past all the drama it builds up so quickly what on earth is the plan for if it does survive?

Moriking is still going strong however, and I'm curious to see if Bone Collection can really do a proper serious arc since everything so far's been very silly. I feel like this will be what determines if it'll die in the next couple batches, or if it can hang on into 2021 (I can't see it going long term either way, but it could help it maybe hit ch 40 or so before getting axed).

Btw, is the Magu-Chan mangaka a woman? The name sounds kind of like a woman’s name

how do you know its even their real name?
I mean, that could be said about every mangaka’s name in the magazine.

But even if it is a fake name, I’d generally assume that a feminine-like name alias still represent that the person might be a woman. And even if they aren’t a woman, they at the very least want us to think they’re a woman

Haikyu!: I have a feeling that Haikyu! will be one of those mangas with a satisfying ending. This one already gave me a lot of happy feels and was way less confusing than the other chapters, probably because I recognized most of the presented characters (except for that mangaka dude, who was he???). It was an epic finish with a bait-and-switch, loved it! Hinata best decoy!!! And that last panel was all I ever wanted to see from this series! <3

JjK: Not very exciting chapter due much talking not enough fighting but given the end of this chapter that will change quickly next week and I can't wait to see it happening as the JjK fights are really good!

Mashle: Is it just me or is Bandana guy becoming my favorite Mashle character?

M&R: Honestly those good guys bullies are great. The whole real Maid vs Roboco thingie was okay but I am seriously wondering.... How does a Robot smell good? Do they have a perfume installed, do they auto-refuel with an own system inside and how do they dispenser the smell of a robot's skin? Like this is some serious high-tech stuff, no shit. In any case, it is totally clear now that Roboco is anything but a Robo Maid.

CSM: Fujimoto is either heartless, a sadist or both. After this chapter I am pretty sure he is both. 5/5 chapter would break my heart into tiny pieces again reading it.

Magu-chan: ...............I can't believe Magu-chan took THAT out of his body!? Damn, I hope poor Ruru never finds out what she missed out on... also Puddings are serious business, lol.

Dr. Stone: This chapter's cover must have made so many female shippers happy.

HCD: I liked this chapter, HC is damn strong! Love how for D being a Dad is so much suffering. Also was totally wrong on the perverted part, just a regular guy worrying about ocean pollution.^^

M:YZ: This is really very episodic, introducing and resolving situations rather quickly while advancing the main story. Thus it feels like it is missing the "punch" of hitting home whatever it tries to hit home with its readers or at least speaking for me, it felt lackluster. The premise was fun but honestly I would have liked to see this premise build out with like 3-4 chapters, it could have been serious or comedy, it could have worked both ways as a mini-arc, as an episode it just felt short and rushed.

Moriking: Oka a cute! Also damn, Shota got some mad talent, no shit!

UU: Wow, we're Matrix now! Didn't expected for the new kid to grow a pair and use his ability, really thought he would just be protected to return home. I liked that he had this armband of his deceased mother(?) and used it as a hairband for concentration. Fuuko is such a hero, damn! Andy was THIS close to losing it again. Also Tatiana is a badass, atta girl!

AA: Satsuki is criminally cute!!! <3

AT: I like the introduced rival. He got skills, flaws and a conviction as deep as Matsuri's. Think he gonna be a fun addition to the cast as he will push forward Suzu to get on with her plan regarding the Ayakashi King. Matsuri is in dire need of cute panties though. :P

WNL: All this chapter did was reinforce my believe that Uruka and Rizu-chan were better heroine material than Fumino. Sorry Fumino-fans...

BC: Insert usual disclaimer here

TPG: Well, he is trying at least. But that ending man... makes me wish so much we had a Mangaka manga series with Aino as the MC and not Teppei...

AB: This was a weak chapter, even cute Chris couldn't save it. :/

BoneC: Aren't we moving really fast right now? <.<

Mitama: Yeah, this one will never die. Lol, watch it survive until chapter 100. XD

SxF: I got a sweet illustration and a cute Anya and Bond extra page. Ain't even mad! (I AM SO MAD!!!!!! No, I am not, just wishing I could get to read the next chapter already...)

The chapters that stood out to me this week were Haikyu! because it handled its feels so well that I bet a lot of readers were grinning stupidly or trying hard to fight their tears. CSM for a similar much crueler reason. UU/AT had a new character shine and that is never easy to achieve in one chapter, but I think both handled it quite good, albeit in different ways.

What would be the current state of Jump following Haikyuu's conclusion?

In my opinion, it would be this:
Pillars: One Piece, Hunter x Hunter (when not on hiatus), My Hero Academia
Mainstays: Jujutsu Kaisen, Dr. Stone, Black Clover, We Never Learn
Stable Series: Act-age, Chainsaw Man
Up and Comers: Mashle,
Uncertain (survival likely): Undead Unluck, Mission: Yozakura Family, Moriking
Newbies: Time Paradox Ghostwriter*, Ayakashi Triangle, Magu-chan, Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin, Me and Roboco
Uncertain (axe likely): Agravity Boys, Bone Collection
Axe Fodder: Miitama Security

Mainstays have an anime adaptation, while stable series do not.
* - TPGW has a lot going for it and a lot going against it. We've just begun to get TOC rankings from it, so I feel its also a little too early to tell.

"Kei" is a gender-neutral neutral name nowadays, so it can be either or (think Kei Yonagi vs Kei Tsukishima). I kind of wonder if "Kei Kamiki" is still a pen-name, but not the one the author wanted, lol.

Average week for me. I like Magu-chan the best from the lastest batch, but AT is starting to grow on me.
Still pretty indifferent to HBCD and M&R.
For the first one I think there is not enough character depth for me to be invested. What I mean by this is that I feel the main character, especially, who is like the fish out of water and our perspective, should have had a more profound introduction. In my opinion, he looks still a freak among freaks, but not someone who I feel I should cheer for. I think this is the main flaw of these introductory chapters. The art is very good though and I hope it improves.
The second is just for younger kids. Not sure if I should compare it with Moriking, but, if so, I think the older one has more chances to survive.

Regarding TPGW, the last chapter gave me some hope, but now I am afraid that the reception was worse than I thought and they decided to rush it. I do not know if towards a conclusion already, but the plot progress does not seem very natural.
Good chapters for DS and AA.

idk if mainstay means it'd be here for a while, but I'd consider CSM and Act Age now Mainstays tbh

Bone Collection had really strong ending game vibes this week, wouldn't be surprised if it goes away soon. Ayakashi felt like a Yozakura chapter, but with sukebe lol. I wish it had an actual plot being developed rather than just going around, Yabuki's art is good but this is just boring. The references to other series in Roboco are the best part of the series, the rest feels dated.

Magu-chan's jokes might not be the most original, but Magu-chan's such a charismatic character that everything works. Haikyuu!! was pretyy good, but that last panel was the cherry on top. Chainsaw Man's panels had some good tension and that reveal and Denji's reaction were heartbraking. I have already accepted the upcoming chapters will leave me in pieces. Act-Age is SO good, it's a masterclass in character interaction and development. Arcs may start slow but it works in favor of the series.

I think at this point Act-age and Chainsaw Man can be considered mainstays at this point (even if Chainsaw Man might wrap up) and honestly as much as I love it, I think Agravity belongs in the same category as Mitama, I only hope it sticks around as long as Mitama has lol.

It felt like a weak week to me. No One Piece and the others series I read got pretty basic chapters.

I don't even like ecchi, but I think AyaTri is the best of this batch. Yabuki's experience is really showing.

Ayakashi felt like a Yozakura chapter, but with sukebe lol. I wish it had an actual plot being developed rather than just going around, Yabuki's art is good but this is just boring.

Oh! I think the plot moved faster than most of the series we are getting lately. We already have a rival with backstory and well settled.
One thing that bothers me is that the main plot moves but is, in its core, very weak. The motivation for not killing the Ayakashi and treat it the way it's treated is kinda laughable. But I guess ecchis are just like that so it's ok.

This is for me. I feel Jujutsu isn't still a mainstay like Dr.Stone and Black Clover, and WNL is already on "it just exists" status (I mean, no cover in +1,5 years),

Haikyuu... :emocat
Sad to see it go soon after so long, but the ending has been great so I don't have many regrets.

Magu-chan was my favourite this week, cute and entertaining as ever. I share everyone's sentiment that it's probably the best of the current newbie batch.

Mashle and UU were great, and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed Yozakura this week too. TPGW has been timeskipping a lot, but I'm very invested in what happens now.

At the bottom of the quote, I specifically say that “Mainstays have an anime adaptation, while stable series do not.”

Really the only reason why WNL is in that category anyways. It’s probably the lowest-selling out of everything that’s at least stable.
