I see, but does caption said that is him or said his name? No doubt this bring more shame around if he caught on video doing this.
He was caught up by the security cameras.

And the label says:
Suspicion of indecent arrest Weekly Shonen Jump serialization "Act-age" author Tatsuya Matsuki (29)

Damn, yeah it's more over with him if they got video evidence on him. I can't see Shueshia doing similar situation like past ones in this case unless want bad reputation to add on that they will defend this if they caught him in act, so can only see him gone for good. Though hope artist though somehow can take charge of the series as while it's rare for stuff like that happen, pretty sure Shueshia have the rights to it as much as the guy, so they could pass it over to her if she still wants to or passionate about it. Though would be huge mountain to climb to get over what has happen to give an comeback if she can write better to keep fans from leaving and gaining new fans to overcome this.

Never been deep reader of Act-Age, but it's a shame to see a work get diminished cause of something out of their control with action of someone else especially author with his disgusting issues he has. I can see Shueshia might keep it going through her depending what be next step after this as artist she might feel want continue something she work on provided artwork on for so long, but again we have to see on where series goes after this as wouldn't be surprise if they choose to axed it either.

Maybe we can get a light novel at some point for Act Age if Usazaki doesn't feel comfortable to finish the series on her own? Surely either Usazaki or the editors should know how it ends or Matsuki himself can do it. It does sounds a lot easier than completing the manga if he was to come back since I would imagine there's so much to cover till it ends.

Hate to say it but review bombed seems more likely

Some ppl already pointed this out, but the chances of Shiro taking over herself is extremely unlikely.

The only hope is if she at least knows how it’s suppose to end and wraps it up in a few months, in the same style as our typical quick axes from newbies.

But with a series meant to go on probably for 200-300 chapters this would be a huge added work load on her to suddenly have to become a writer too.

It does, but the "review bombs" haven't really come in yet? These volumes have been selling well for hours now, and as far as I can see, there are only three negative reviews on the most recent volume (there's not even one on Volume 1 yet). Does it take time for an Amazon review to get approved?

We have to see as if Shueshia allowed works of those mention with similar incident to continue despite flag they got, they could let Act-Age continue, but with artist being now story behind it if it still giving amount of sells and they address about it to give fans on situation. Though they could axe it if sells don't workout well in the end and do it like Toriko which was major reason why it ended like it did due to sells rather than what author did prior.

It's going to be hard to start review bombing a series that averages a high rating to begin with. Also there's ~200 people who reviewed it so it's going take time.

Yeah, I understand that a series like Act-Age would take a while to effectively review bomb, but it's been over 12 hours since the news broke, and these volumes have barely gotten any new reviews despite ranking in Amazon's top 50 manga. If it hasn't happened yet, then when will it start (three negative reviews on the most recent volume doesn't seem like enough to be considered review bombing)?

I'm not gonna have any expectations with the series' future; like it could get straigth out axed, allowed to wrap up immediately, put on hiatus indefinitely, etc. Can only wish that Shueshia will act accordingly to all this out of respect to everyone affected, but definitely hope Usazaki and the victims are able to overcome this

Sigh...to hopefully steer the conversation a bit (until we learn of AA's fate), I made a tierlist of every currently running manga in Jump. Tiers are ordered by status in the magazine, which is partially relative.

Honestly, this isn't very good. Even with Act-Age, Jump still had quite a few open slots and not enough successes to fill them up, and this whole ordeal was one of the last things it needed. Things look okay now, till you realize that Chainsaw Man's in it's final arc and We Never Learn's on borrowed time. Mashle is a bright spot, at least. Yozakura and Undead, while selling better than the others, still havent convinced me that they'll be safe.

Yeah, the likely end of Act-age is a big loss right now, it was one of their three top next generation hits with still lots of potential growth. Once WNL is gone in December, we'll only have 6 properly established series ongoing. barely more than a quarter of the magazine.

It won't drop below 6 since Mashle will almost certainly be a proper hit by the time CSM ends, but 6 is still a pretty bad number. Hopefully by that time we have Undead also firmly established and at least 3 other series growing well so that that magazine's not over half filled by uncertain newbies (not sure which of the current newbies it'd be though.

It's hard to see Yozakura becoming a real hit at this point (unless it suddenly brings out an incredible story arc), but there's genuinely a good chance that it'll just keep surviving long enough above the flops until it ends naturally (perhaps around the 3 year point or so, I can see 140-150 chapters being enough for the series).

Heck, perhaps even Agravity Boys is doing well enough right now to keep sticking around in the current state of the magazine.

I would say UU is in the up and comers category with mashie. It had great reviews, good TOC placement, and the first volume sold early, which is unheard of. I would probably move moriking into uncertain as well. Didn't Jump brag about it being super well received? It hasn't placed great in the TOC or sold its 1st volume well, but that is true for most new series and for gag manga its even tougher to get a large following early on.

I would put CSM as mainstay

looking at this list has made me realize, Chainsaw Man is now the oldest series without an anime at 80 chapters. Mitama, the series which ends this issue with chapter 47 would be the 2nd oldest with that spot being replace by Yozakura (started the week after). I wonder if we're going to start seeing more older series that never got anime or have incomplete anime completed or if Jump is just going to not have new anime for a while.

Man, this is one of the worst news to wake up to. Act-Age was the manga i never expected to have this shit associated with it.

you got that backward
Yozakura started before Mitama
Mitama has more chapters because it has published 2 chapters per week twice

Honestly, UU imo would safely be categorized together with Mashle. It's one of Jump's better successes recently, and they should just continue promoting it more. (More CPs please)
