Feels to me like this is a similar deal to Overhaul arc. That arc took a lot out of Horikoshi because it was getting too dark, while this one has so many things going on and the frenetic, chaotic pace must be taking a toll on him as well.
Make the boys the "real Waifus" of the story with the girls chasing after them and trying to impress them with their strength and we got some golden jokes, I think. XD
Yeah, Keijo!!!!!!!! was great, real fun with its over the top seriousness about butts and boobs clashing at each other with the fanservice while being a result of it not being "the core" of the story, that was training, friendship and growth, very much like a regular sports manga. And that's why I think a fantasy sport manga could work just as well. After all if a mangaka could think up a new sport for ecchi reasons why not think it up for regular sport reasons?
I don't think that's it. He probably just been really busy remember he supervised the spin-offs and he's one of the judges of the Tezuka Manga Contest

I'm really happy that I can finally read the manga of this guy. I wanted to read Isobee for years but it was never translated. And unlike Saiki, there was no anime to make people go to translate stuff.
The only thing most Bleach fans seem disappointed in with Burn the Witch is that it's only going to be four chapters when it feels like Kubo has built a world that could be explored for a much longer run (especially with the introduction of Top of Horns which feels like everyone's highlight so far). Fans and skeptics alike are praising Kubo's art in these chapters and fans are having fun making connections between Soul Society and Wing Bind. I've only see people wanting this to be more than a mini-series, not the other way round.
The anime could change everything, just like it did with Demon Slayer. I honestly think the anime could improve on the manga's occasional chaotic artwork/panelling and create something much more polished.
I really hope so.
