Doesn't mean much. A lot of the movie BD/DVD's almost always sell way more than anime season DVD/BDs.
Biggest example of this is Naruto BD/DVD sales. Its anime DVD/BD sales are negligible. But the movie DVDs sold way way more. Anywhere between10-20x the numbers that anime season DVD/BDs sold.

To top it off, we are talking about Kimetsu. People are eating up everything and buying everything like as if there is no tomorrow. No reason for them to stop for the DVD/BD.

Red Hood felt oddly Looney Tunes- ish to me for some reason, I guess due to mix of the werewolf looking rather cartoony and all the silly Wile E Coyote esque gadgets. It was good though, I'd love to get all the oneshots to compare and guess the winner.

I thought the oneshot was a pretty nice read, but seeing your post made me realize how much I'd love to see a real Looney Tunes/Wile E Coyote-esque comedy. A gag series where it focuses on the villains and the heroes basically either do nothing (Road Runner) or just troll (Bugs Bunny) would be pretty humorous to see.

Correct me if I'm wrong but JJK backlogs, going by sole placements alone, seems to be stronger than what MHA backlogs were when the anime started airing.
Keeping in mind that if not for Kimetsu, a lot of those JK backlogs would end up in the top 10.

We didn't really get to have a poll/discussion on High School Family's first TOC placement last week before it came (7th place), however what do we expect for Our Blood Oath?

It's hard for me to separate how poorly composed I think the series is, but that my gut instinct is that it'll debut in the bottom 5, but stranger things have happened.

I really feel the choice to release S1 so soon leading to a shortened season, really hurt MHA’s ceiling. If they had waited until 2017, they could’ve gone 2 cours where people would have gotten the amazing Todoroki vs Midoriya match for their first season and end it on ch. 59.

The fact that S4 didn’t get a noticeable boost speaks to Mukai’s lack of abilities to direct the series. You could argue it’s a normal drop-off, but I don’t really think so. I think the drop-off was compounded moreso by the dip in quality after Mukai took over. The only thing I could be grateful for is, MHA’s production is still several levels above most studios and even more so compared to traditional Jump studios (Toei, Pierrot come to mind) as well as always delivering on the big moments.

I just really hope S6 brings back the early seasons’ level of quality. They CANNOT screw that up.
