That's assuming they only cancel one series next round. Which is rare.
It was a lot of charity from jump to have kept C&D until now.

It is a series from a Veteran creator. Veterans are typically always allowed more time a leeway with a new series

Except for BK, seeing that this has been canceled.

Build King's ending on ch 20 while Agravity Boys lasted more than a year.

Veterans don't get more leeway, they just generally perform slightly better than newbie's flops, and slightly better can often be enough to stay alive for a while.

“typically”

Again. I said “typically”, not “always”.

Typically they seem to be allowed slightly more time than a mangaka with no hits under their belt.

Agravity Boys a rare example of a series getting lucky and avoided cancellation for a year.
Build King is an example of a veteran performing exceptionally bad. As someone pointed out yesterday, it’s the quickest veteran axe since 2008.

Point is to stop pointing fingers and screaming “why is Cop & Dolphin not getting axed. Why did Cop & Dolphin last so long and x series didn’t?”

It’s likely just the fact that it’s a veteran series that they seem at least a tiny chance of success in. Either way, it’s unlikely that it won’t get axed, so I don’t get the point in bringing it up

Since we're getting 2-in-2-out this serialisation round, here's how I see the rest of the magazine once the next cancellations do come around issue #28:

Veterans:
  • One Piece
  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • My Hero Academia
  • Dr. Stone
  • Black Clover
Safe:
  • Mashle
  • The Elusive Samurai
  • Undead Unluck
  • Mission: Yozakura Family
  • Sakamoto Days
  • Me & Roboco
  • WITCH WATCH*
Too soon:
  • Blue Box
  • Ame no Furu
Fluctuating:
  • Ayakashi Triangle*
  • Magu-chan: God of Destruction
  • High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku
  • Nine Dragons' Ball Parade*
In danger:
  • Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin
  • I tell c

Basically, if it's another two series round then the options for the axe looks fairly obvious. If it's anymore then it'll just depend how the fluctuating series perform in the next month or two.

*Obviously things could change, mainly Nine Dragons and the rest of its round once we know the first volume sales to compare with others. I'm also not sure where Ayakashi Triangle stands with its stagnating sales and being a bottom 5 regular nowadays even if it seems to have that ecchi spot in the magazine secured.

I think it's a bit too early to call Witch Watch safe. It's probably one of the safer bets, but I personally want to wait and see how it sells.

It could fall in the next month or so (and I wouldn't be surprised) but I'm just basing off how things are today mostly. Either way, I think it'll only be in immediate danger if something suddenly goes horribly wrong.

At the moment we have this situation (calculated since #01-2021 excluding color and lead color):

One Piece
1,33
Jujutsu Kaisen
1,77
My Hero
2,57
Dr.Stone
2,91
Elusive Samurai
3,00
Black Clover
4,31
Witch Watch
5,00
Mashle
5,75
Boku to Roboko
5,86
Yozakura Family
6,09
Sakamoto Days
6,44
Magu-chan
7,40
Undead Unluck
8,79
Kowloon Ball Parade
9,50
Ayakashi Triangle
9,75
Kokosei Kazoku
10,59
ITellC
11,00
Shakunetsu no Niraikanai
11,41

So i would put Undead Unluck lower on your list, while Elusive Samurai is really strong and safer than Mashle. Ayakashi Triangle could risk in 2 rounds or so.

You cant say Elusive Samurai is safer than Mashle without even seeing its sales performance. This is not solely dependent on toc rankings. Undead and Ayakashi are safe. Definitely safer than higher ranking stuff like Magu chan

Ecchi series are a bit hard to judge. Even TLR (Yabuki's previous ecchi series on Jump) was doing poorly in the ToC, if I remember well, but it lasted for quite a while. If it gets animated it might rise a bit in sales. The thing is that I believe AT has a better setting and general idea than TLR, however I have the feeling it might not have the same level of success with an anime.

Elusive Samurai did nearly the same rank of Assassination Classroom in the first 6 issues and we all know how it went. It's a success 95% sure.

Shoseki 4/5

MHA #1
Dr. Stone #2
Black Clover #3
Sakamoto Days #42
Roboco #55
Build King #91
AGravity Boys #92
Cop and Dolphin #97
Japanese middle aged housewives have discovered Sakamoto?

>TUM #2 ahead of JJK #15
good for Yoko I guess

>I Take L is dead last
the recent train wreck development make sense now, Inaoka knew

why was Inaoka brought back so quickly ahead of more promising newbs?
I find all their series, oneshots and miniseries incredibly boring
the comedy is not funny
the romance is generic
the thriller isn't exciting
the mystery is none existent
even the art isn't that good, beside the heroine design which is detailed and have thoughts behind it, no one else stands out, this was the case in Invade You too

Next issue: Cover and LCP Amenofuru (sweets battle comedy, "Ame" here means "candy")
CP: Ao no Hako, Nige Jozu no Wakagimi, Mashle
I'm gonna make a huge prediction, Elusive Prince next color pages after this one will be a cover and a lead

So did Samon-kun. See how it went
It did't
The director of gintama said that he would like to direct a samon anime. Thats not the same.
I still doubt AT have studios asking about anime adaption
