And it's not always that mixing with other genres attracts more audiences works, Ayakashi tries to mix ecchi and action and it didn't attract more people in fact it could be said to have the opposite effect.
The script for Ayakashi triangle is bad. That's why it doesn't call an audience.

Magu chan is not doing that well, seeing as he spends most of his time at the botton and so far he has not exceeded 20K sales.

And I think you're pushing a lot a difference between magu chan and WW, just to justify the survival of the series.
I'm not justifying anything. I was simply helping you understand that WW and BB are not crowding Magu-chan's niche in the magazine.

Magu-chan is doing just fine by whatever metric Shonen Jump is judging it on. There's no point in projecting your own arbitrary standards onto it. I'm very sorry to inform you, but complaining that "Magu-chan isn't a success" online won't get it canceled, since Nak doesn't log onto Mangahelpers.

And it's not always that mixing with other genres attracts more audiences works, Ayakashi tries to mix ecchi and action and it didn't attract more people in fact it could be said to have the opposite effect.
In some ways, I feel like this is why it has leaned less into serious action lately. Though to be fair, AyaTri has a pretty stable audience, so saying "it could be said to have the opposite effect" is probably unfair.

Maybe but compared to the author's previous work sells a lot less

It's entirely possible Chainsaw Man may have had something to do with this. Pochita had it's merch happen near all the anime annoucment stuff, after Part 1 was all done with in the magazine. Magu had it's merch by it's 1st anniversary. Perhaps some firms at Shueisha and/or Jump editorial is looking more closely at "marketable" characters to make plushes out of to continue the momentum, and it just so happens that Magu fits that bill perfectly, so much so that fan "merch" was made literally since day 1. Selling out the Magu plush probably means that for Shueisha, this is a viable future for now.

Looking at his Twitter says it all really. Black Cat and TLR stuff gets way more likes and retweets compared to Triangle stuff. It's current rankings and sales resemble more Robot x Laserbeam than something like Yuragi, which was already selling 100k a month by vol 5.

What? This is like, the most out of left field news from Jump this year.

Is it going to adapt the final match? Should be interesting to see.

43,000 copies?! In five days? I was expecting 50k in a month! From the looks of things, it's probably surpassed that already, depending on stock. (Oh, that's right - stock issues, too! Jesus.) I'm looking forward to the growth of both this and Dandadan!

WSJ has found its romcom successor. I wonder how it'll compete with each of Young Jump and Magazine's romcoms... I also wonder how much grwoth Witch Watch will show with Volume 2.

I thought they would be adapting the rest of the manga in the movie but since Inoue is writing it then I guess there will be no manga content, looking forward to the movie!

Its sorta interesting because if I remember correctly Mha readership is mostly male.
Only statistic I've seen is from when the anime started airing and readership was 60% female 40% male.
