This was interesting does anyone agree or disagree about this lineup being one of the strongest in wsj
I think the Jump 52 2026 will be hard like that

Okay, I found this comparison. It's not the same as the last color page, but it is quite literally just a redraw of the original magazine cover, without a jacket.

Thank you. I thought they were similar but now I can see the differences.

So I just saw Manga Crash on YouTube and everything he said matches what has been consistent on the forum about Kyokotu Necromance. But one thing that he compared it to was a combination of early Bleach and Shaman King. After hearing those 2 comparisons, I can see the Bleach similarities with the monster designs as they look like Hollows due to being monsters but with a more cleaner simpler design esthetic. As for the Shaman King comparisons, I thought about that when I read that with the summoning of spirits in a similar manner to the power system. Which is similar to the Stands system in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventrue. Let me know what you all think about that comparison.

Bleach comparison is just odd because Necromance can just be compared to any series with monster spirits, shinigami...honestly you could even say the one our lead character's summons basically looks similar in design to the same one Sarutobi sensei summon in Naruto...basically the spirits is just a foundation of the genre and JPN folklore in general. (Nue's Exorcist feels more Bleach like). Like feels like the comparison could work for many of the other exorcist manga out there that all involve a spirit manifesting on unsuspecting people leading to injury and the need for a unsuspecting main character to manifest a summoned spirit to defeat.

For the first time i am agree with you. I think if i read this before Astro i don't have a problem with it, it just be a random classical manga, but both has the same father Flash-back and Astro do it better.

And yes we can compare this with Jujutsu, Bleach etc. I think the mangaka is more talentual for a mangaka like this, i think he can do better.

He was not talking about Bleach in general. He was referring to the monster designs. But he also said a good reason as to why do we want this series. Especially ever since 2016-2019 when we had Demon Slayer, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Chainsaw Man. And then we had those others that tried that are exorcist series like Bone Collection, Phantom Seer, Doron Dodoron, Nue’s Exorcist, and Shadow Eliminators. It is a question of were they necessary and could they have lived up to what we had established. And before you say anything, yes we know Nue is a success so there is no reason to trash it. And the same can be said again if we get another spy/assassin series like we did so far with MYF, SD, and KB. And trust me, outside of those series still running, we had a lot one-shots lately ever since the start of the 2020’s.

You're talking to Sharkbait. That guy's more than willing to turn Weekly Shonen Jump into Weekly Exorcist Jump.

100% agree. Necromance's biggest hurdle was debuting right after Astro's more well-thought and focused introduction. It's like having to eat McDonald's after the greatest burger ever. In a vacuum, McDonald's is good but in context with what you just tasted, you just can't enjoy it.

I still believe he can bring it back over the next few chapters. He still has time.

Necromance reminds me way more of YuYu Hakusho than Bleach, you know, the manga that Kubo shameless copied :derp

I love it! It’s definitely going for a sticker aesthetic.
Interesting positioning, feels like it’s the pillars then everything else is around the same level lol. Dear Anemone is stuffed in the corner while Green Green Greens is interestingly among the regulars.

Huh?? This feels like the most underwhelming group cover ever... feels like an edit of existing illustrations than a new art..

You know that was exactly what I thought at one point when I saw that spirit transform into a sword, it reminded me of older Toguro with how he transforms.

Wsj has so much faith in KB by putting it in between Yuji and Luffy. Basically centre positioning is the prime real estate

I might have to agree with monstera11 here. It honestly feels like they took sticker versions of all their series and placed them on here. It makes me feel like it matches the group covers of 1996-1997 in terms of concept than what we have been spoiled with as the years went on since the Torishima years.

Yuji Itadori and Hibaru Yotsurugi look great in that art style though
