just started my joruney reading Kill Blue, and the first chapter was really impressive. I didn't know anything about the story at all (i though it was a story about sports for some point lol) but the premise is very interesting and fun, like "Re:life"

To answer the poll, Astro will do good for his first volume because of the veterant tax but the following volume will decline fast IF the story keep the same tone and direction, it's still 4 chapter for now, he can still pull something impressive before volume 1 release

At the same time, the newcomers were not good enough to overcome those garbages. I wonder if they'll cancel KGB to saving those unsold anime protection trashes

If your beloved Nue's exorcist got canceled, you will feel the power of the series being protected by the anime and favoritism.

I hope they cancel literally piece of garbage like UU, yozakura, elusive samurai and Roboco along with Nakano's resignation

And keep in mind that I Iiked all the 1st chapters for these except the last 2. Some strong 1st chapters this year.

The reception to all the 3 series could be summed up in a resounding “meh”.

Astro had a really strong start with chapter 1 but ever since then it has gotten mixed reception. There is criticism of its MC Hibaru to not liking the plot progression, but they say it is easy to read and is light fun. There are comparisons to Samurai 8 but people aren’t writing it off as they believe the veteran status could cover for it. To note, there is a difference between the TR fans in JP vs the WSJ regular readers in JP. So far most people keeping up with the series falls in the latter category, who hate it as they believe it will get privilege over “better” works like GGG. Meanwhile TR fans are making art of it. Very interesting to see the range of reactions every week.

Necromance has more positive reactions to JP readers of WSJ but still people are calling it bland and that it could be axed. Some criticized the MC for second guessing helping strangers and the mangaka for not being ready to come back. But the Jump+ views and lack of interactions aren’t painting a good picture for it. People saying “At least it is better than Shadow Eliminators and Nue!” won’t save it. I will say this is the favorite of the 3 currently.

Psych House’s reception is ok despite the controversy. People are saying they liked it, but they know it will be axed. Not many votes for it reported and Jump+ and PV views are abysmal. The controversy will probably go away as it won’t be brought up again, but it is a dead series walking.

A reminder that Shoseki overestimated Nue #3 2nd week, so it should be a couple of copies less than #4, hopefully the same didn't happened this time too but since it's not inside the Top 50 with 7k it's probably not overestimated.

Well, if anything GGG at least charted for a 2nd week

I got to say for the last few weeks, Jump has really been on fire. The vast majority of the series has been really good. For this week my ranking will probably be:

1. Green Green Greens
2. Nue's Exorcist
3. Akane Banashu
4. Undead Unluck
5. Kyokuto Necromance

Astro Royale, Witch Watch, Psych Houseand Mission Yozakura Family were all serious contenders. It was difficult to narrow it down to my top 5.

Overall, I really like this batch. I'm a big fan of Astro Royale and Psych House. I was looking forward to Necromance the most, and while the 1st chapter was rough, this 3rd chapter reminded me why I like Fusai. I'm hoping that they survive.

As for my favorite 1st chapter for the series:

5. Kyokuto Necromance
6. Dear Anemone
7. Shadow Eliminators

I loved the first four. The rest I was more lukewarm towards.

It's also interesting and somewhat frustrating to see how much my tastes differ from the Japanese audience. I love GGG but it didn't catch on there while I generally liked Nue's village arc from the 3rd level fight on which was poorly received there. I loved this chapter so I expect it will do poorly in the rankings.

Speaking of Nue, which girl in the Gakuro-bowl is the most liked by the Japanese (so just Suo and Shiroha lol)? And do you see any challengers approaching (like Marika from Nisekoi)? Hoping it's Shiroha btw, I've got 20 dollars on the line for her winning.

That makes sense, the recent arcs seemed to have focused a lot on her, a bit sad since we haven't got much Shiroha content in a while.

KGB still performing very well, 70k first month maybe? also a bit Sad about Akane, it got the feeling that it's not doing as good as usual.
UU still above nue so look like Nue will track once again sub 30k, the grwoth is basically nonexistent, anime need to save this series
Shadow Eliminator, an 19 chapter axed series track above GGG, kinda sad, i guess charadesign also matter even if the series is no good

Also with Ruri Dragon becoming a digital publication i decided to remove it from the signature and with that Kagurabachi reached the 2nd tier!
