I really like that Gintama fan guide cover myself. Has a great old-school feel akin to Jump of the early 70s combined with one of those magazines for grade schoolers. (like the one that has the Pokemon manga that Shogakukan publishes)

Gintama's character book is epic win. Meisters is epic fail.

Yeah Neuro covers always look great. Now with the series done I'm hoping viz decide to pick it up. They definitely have the room for a new series or two, with Black Cat ending it's run and both Naruto and HxH right behind the Japanese releases now. Pretty sure a few other series were closing in on their last tank too. Fingers crossed!
My only beef is that Neuro's facial expression looked a bit too soft... though I guess it's the author's way of noting the weakened state of Neuro (but still!! Neuro = Master Sadist! :p)

Ya know, looking back, maybe it WAS supposed to be "My Star".

Oh Bokke. T__T

I enjoy several of those covers. Time for me to pick up a series or two now that I've made some space. o:

All the complete edition covers are awsome in my opinion... though my favorite still goes to Houshin Engi... even Joka's cover for Vol. 17 is... beautiful...

I think the whole Meiste/My Star was a double entendre, or in other words, a pun on words.

I think I like all the covers. KochiKame's is funny, Naruto's good, though I'm disliking how less-detailed Kishi's colours have been these past volumes. ES21's is simple, but some great drawings and colouring from Murata. Neuro's is twisted and cool, Meister's is alright and Bokke's looks peaceful (a shame the series never reached it's potential...).

Which is why I'm against of actually discount one or the other :p
There are plenty of evidences in support of either one, and it's pointless to try and say which one is right and which one is not. Just accept it the way it is: It's intended to be a pun.

No one commented on Claymore's cover finally going Claire-less? :p

Well... all I can say is it was decently popular back then... I mean any series lasting 4 years are decent enough for WSJ in my opinion. Looking back to the rankings, it was pretty much 10~13 before it ended (there were 17~18 series back then). While I do think the ending was a bit rushed, it did get a CP for final chapter (a bit like how Neuro ended).

From Naruto's spoiler poster:

  やあ!明日か明後日のこの時間帯に来ます~

  もう本きてるんだけどまだ作業はいってないから

  読めないんだよね…
Apparently, he already got his WSJ (he's just not able to post spoiler because he hasn't read though it yet)... which means some of the bookstores in Japan had indeed began selling WSJ...

So who knows, we might still able to get some raws this weekend... (though the likelyhood is still low)

It happened more around Christmas/New Years than this time, but this will just mean no issue next week...

That guy is a Naruto spoiler guy, I don't think he posts RAWs, and he works inside the factory/company that prints it or something which is why he gets it so early I think, so I don't think it is because the stores are selling early, I could be wrong...

Well, Nja is a Tuesday spoiler poster. I know that the Wednesday spoiler posters (like Himajin and Ohana) buys their magazine in early-sales bookstores (Himajin actually mentioned several times off-handly when he was late with ToLoveRu and OP spoilers), but not so sure about Tuesday ones.

I'm just bringing it up because someone who's not at the printing factory (ko-neta, via common consesus at 2ch, seems to work at the factory, while later ones aren't) got their hand on a magazine already, indicating it might actually be shipping them out.

Took me a few minutes but: HOLY SHIT THAT'S FULL GROWN REBORN?! Is that the first time Akira ever showed his original form?

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.2

first time he showed quite a few people there, adult Reborn, adult Skull, adult I-Pin Master, adult Viper, Verde overall, and Arcobaleno Umi

reminds me of when Kishi did that Jinchuriki color spread of a bunch of awesome design we'll never see used
