And maybe when their sales do increase, Jump will no longer see a need for To Love and just end it
Toriko's and Mago's sales are rising and To Love-Ru's sales is slowly dropping. But, I think Jump will not going to end To Love-Ru because it is still pretty good sales. I think To Love-Ru will end when the author decides to end it.

Finally, Toriko surpasses To Love-Ru, and Mago is only about 3000 sells behind To Love Ru. I think Mago's next volume might surpass it. Prince of Tennis looks still strong. Psyren is still same spot, not entering top 10, yet the sales are slowly rising. Does anyone know whether Psyren surpassed 50,000,000 sales or still below?

50,000,000? I would never imagine Psyren surpassing that with it's current sales.

Torko, as pointed out, hasn't surpassed To-Love-Ru. To-Love-Ru once you combine the Special Edition with the regular edition, sold better than it. You can't discount a good chunk of the copies that were sold of it.

Kinda sad, though relieved that DGM is moving to SQ. Sad in that I'll have to wait a month, but happy that it's less likely to go on hiatus. Just hope that the amount of content will be similar to FMA and Blazer Drive (35-40-45 pages).

Well if you count bonus editions and stuff then I guess To-Love-ru went past Toriko, but see the bundle thing's been out for more than a week. If you count how much Toriko 4 sold since then you'd get a different number, it seems like people are comparing apples to oranges.

Regardles, Toriko sold really well, as far as I could check, better than previous volumes. Mago is doing well, too.

Strange about DGM, but I guess the author can't keep up with the schedule. But at least it'll come at a consistant basis now. And it's good it's coming back at all.
Now if only HXH did that...

Is TOC not releasing this week? Bottom 5 had revealed on right time, so I thought TOC also going to release at today.

50,000,000's a big number dude. I'm not sure Psyren has made it passed two million yet. ToRa's numbers may or may not have sank this week. 129,000 is below average, but when the special edition is taken into account it's right where it should be. I do agree that this will be the last time, or next to last time, anyone makes the argument that it outsells Toriko and Mago. Both seem headed towards 200,000, even if it takes another volume or to.

I really hope that's a typo, and you meant 5,000,000. If it were anywhere near 50,000,000 after, what is it 6 volumes, then it wouldn't be in any danger. I do believe that would put it on pace to be the highest selling manga of all the times. Also, I don't think it's anywhere near 5,000,000 total sales.

Anyways, glad to see Mago continually doing better and better. I look forward to seeing it become an anime soon. I think the action would translate well to an anime.

Sorry, it was typo. Actually, I meant was 500,000. So, does Psyren passed it or not?

Understood ^^

I've never seen total sales figures for Psyren but, over 500,000 copies sold sounds reasonable.

These are the first week sells number only.
Psyren #7 (59,693) #6 (47,028) #5 (41,351) #4 (37,581) the volumes before those didn't make the top 30.
Volumes #1-3 plus the weeks of unknown volume sells It could be near 500,000.

I look forward to next week so we can see if some of these series still put up decent numbers to add to the overall total.

Anime News Network posted a Japanese comic rating for the week of August 3-9 and Naruto, Bleach, and Bakuman were in the top three
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-08-12/japanese-comic-ranking-august-3-9
Naruto vol.47 sold 783,827 copies, Bleach vol.40 sold 589,661 copies and Bakuman vol.4 sold 242,745 copies
As a matter of of fact, the top 8 spots were all held by Shonen Jump series

Is Tohan sales figures more accurate than Oricon figures? Because Naruto has higher figures from Tohan compared to Oricon. For example:

But checking with Tohan's numbers, Oricon's aren't really close to reality. Naruto's first pressing volume sales have been essentially flat at around 1.5 million. We don't have 42 and 43 numbers from Tohan, but #41, which Oricon reported as having sold a paltry 700k in its first press, sold about 1.5 million in its first pressing--about the same as volume 44 (which Oricon had in the 1 million range).

Oricon is a national reporting service, similar to soundscan in the States and Canada. Tohan is a single wholesaler. Consider Oricon more accurate. Please, post a link to where you saw higher numbers from Tohan. I am interested. Preferably in this thread. Keep in mind this is not the first press, this is first week sales. By the time volume 48 comes out volume 47 will have sold 1.2 million copies or more. It's just they don't all ship in the first week. 750,000 is about Naruto's average for first week sales.

Anime News Network uses Oricons sales figures.

^If DGM moves to Jump SQ this means unfortunately that its release in the U.S. will be slowed down as well.
