Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.2

Off topic but someone really needs to sub the Jaguar movie and Flash Anime.
Find me a raw for the Jaguar Movie and I'll do it. The movie came out during early 2008, so a DVD raw should be out by now but I can't seem to find one.

It's on Share according to sharedb.info:

(DVDISO)(映画) ピューと吹く!ジャガー THE MOVIE (実写版).ISO 4,499,152,896 2790e53c0e8b9c16067e9439ae564a42152b3963
If you're serious on doing it, I could download it and then figure out a way to send it to you... though I really don't know an effective way to send a 4.4G DVDISO to another person... :p

Of course, with this being a DVDISO from October last year, I can't even promise if I'd ever finish downloading... since it's always hard for a non-porn DVDISO to get enough uploader on Share most of time (lol :p)

Sharing it is a small problem. If you're used to torrent, you can seed him directly with a private tracker (created in 30 seconds). At megaupload you can upload any size, AFAIK, but free users are limited to download only 1gb maximum files (so, either splitting or share a premium acc for a month). Aside from this, we surely can find someone who hosts the file on ftp for a few days.

There are more ways to share big files. So, don't worry about that :amuse

I have no clue how to setup a private tracker in BT :p but that would be the fastest way to do this :)

Anyway, I've set up the trigger on my Share, and hopefully I'll be able to fish up the file in a week or two... ;)

Creating a torrent is easy. Takes 2 minutes, at most.

You open your client and look for something called 'create/new torrent' usually under the menu 'file'. Then you simply select the file or folder you want to share.

Next you need to add a public tracker e.g. 'http://www.torrent-downloads.to:2710/announce' or just google for popular ones (thepiratebay, ect). That's usually it but maybe there are some additional check boxes depending on your client. If there's a 'private torrent' box, don't check that one. All you have to do now is save the torrent file. That's all.

Just send the file to the person you want to share with and from there, it's your normal upload/download procedure. Only difference is, that you only seed the person who got the torrent file and you can give him all your upload speed for a fast transfer. As long as you don't upload it to any torrent site, it's private.

I know how to create a torrent file :p

It's just that I thought most trackers doesn't allow you to do that, since their protocol includes further encryptions + ways to keep track of leechers/seeders stats by imposing a mandatory upload of the torrent file onto their server... :/

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.2

Bit of a warning: starting on June 1st (essentially next Monday), the two Jump pages (the regular WSJ page and Jumpland) are merging into one "shonenjump.com". Hopefully it will still have the best of both but prepare for anything.

Gintama that close to the bottom five. Not acceptable Japan :(

Now Kuroko is up and Gintama is down.
Wasn't Gintama like #2 a couple weeks ago...

And Reborn is back up suddenly.

Rest is about normal. It'll depend on where Kuroko and Beelzebub go to see if they stay high. They're still fairly early on.

Beelzebub is spelt like that, by the way...

Seeing Gintama so low is not cool. And this ranking is supposed to be the first chapter of Jiraia arc. Not cool at all Dx

Ha, Reborn got above Bleach eh? One Piece still on top as usual

Seeing Kuroko above Toriko feels wrong considering whats happening in both stories in recent chapters. Hmm Psyren got a bit higher but not that high. Still, it is better than being in the bottom 5.

Too bad Beelzebub, Toriko, and Kuroko couldn't knock Bleach down even further together. ¬_¬

I may be wrong, but isn't the beginning of a new arc supposed to rank low, as opposed to the ending chapters? Assuming it's not an arc everyone was eagerly awaiting for, that is.

Makes sense to me that way... after all, the introduction to an arc tends to be where there's less action and interesting stuff happening, instead focusing on setting everything up for the following chapters.

#27 (01/06) :
Gintama (10)
Note: Smiley does not reflect actual amount of RAGE in this post.

I lose internet for a few days, and come back to THIS?! THIS!? Shogakukan's already on my bad side for taking away Hyde, and threatening Trau, but now Shuiesha's got Gintama in the basement?! I know it's still too powerful to be cancelled but this won't stand! THIS. WILL. NOT. STAND! >_> Now I remember why I don't check out Jump TOC standings...cause they're stressful!

But good for Beelze, I hope it lives at least long enough to get 10 volumes. That would be a good enough length to tell a nice story without going over board.

Actually Gintama's sort of the opposite. It ranks really high earlier on in arcs, but middles out towards the end. See, what I've observed on 2ch is that people tend to bitch about serious arcs compared to the gag stories. Now I dunno if the editorial department feels the same way, but it seems that all people want out of Gintama is a series of lol moments. Or maybe Gintama's just begining to wear thin? Again with it's sales numbers, fan worship, and anime popularity, I don't see Gintoki heading off into the sunset yet, but this is slowly becoming a worrying trend.....

Gintama is fine. It's too popular to be in trouble.

For now. In any case, we'll see now that the rankings have entered the Jiraia//Tsukki arc. If they stay low throughout that, I dunno. The Japanese fandom for Gintama sort of gets on my nerves anyway, since they don't seem to know what they want. Luckily Sorachi doesn't give a damn what they think, so the series won't suffer.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.2

I think this would be the second chapter of Jiraia...thought it would be much higher but I never trust Jump voters. (besides, that really high chapter a few weeks ago was Shinsengumi-based...really obvious now why it would rank high) Aside from raging over Gintama suddenly getting screwed...it really isn't that bad a ranking setup.
