Naruto's is of an art book, not a manga volume.

Nice there are all those in August. Just OP is missing... It's almost all of Jump.

What is Shueisha trying to do with that August tank line up... jeez...
Two top sellers couple with a bunch more 200k+ series!? ;)
So this is how Shueisha plans on fighting the recession :p

Kaiten: When I made the comment before...I wasn't talking about OP or Naruto (since they're in it till the end). My wonder is more stuff like Bleach, which is stretched to high heaven, has horrible fillers, doesn't seem to even have anything worth it...but continues to always poll high regardless. I don't really get why kids would keep polling the flash of Bleach every time while a solid great series like Gintama would start to collapse. Sure it's time but it makes me wonder why some stuff collapses to defeat/end...and others just keep keeping interest no matter how stretched or pointless things get.

I'm sure it does not need to be said, but the whole Gintama-better-than-Bleach-thing is all subjective. But when you say fillers are you talking about the anime? Manga does not have fillers. And as an adamant fan of Bleach I can honestly say that yes, sometimes the chapters are slow. However that does not mean that the story is not going anywhere. But what fan would give up on a series after following it for so long? Whatever flaws people claim Bleach has, it can't be denied that Bleach has earned it's fan base. But of course you would have to be a fan to understand.

The anime's had some really good animation recently, in Bleach.
Course, because nothing much happens in half the chapters they have tons of filler arcs. That and often unsatisfying stories besides the action. Some of it's ok, but there's still plenty that can pay off.

Also, remember Gintama was #1 ranked last week... It's not like it's doing horrible...

Just wait till Gintoki learns Bankai. It'll be the new Bleach and Bomber D. Luffy will have nothing to do on Fridays and Saturdays.

I think Bleach knows how to give it's audience what they want; non - stop action, cool looking characters, minimal/cool dialog, and lot's of special attacks. Think of it like summer action movies, there will always be an audience for vicarious thrills. While other series struggle to gain new readers as each mini - generation outgrows it, others, like Bleach, are able to pull in new readers. Like kewl said, it's not as though Gintama has lost it's audience. It could just be turning into D. Gray Man, lots of fans but erratic in the polls. Guess we'll find out when Jump volume sales come out next week. Without volumes from the big three, DGM, Reborn, or HxH it could be number one. I can't think of anything more popular from another magazine coming out this week.

Still a little bummed about Akaboshi and Psyren being so low, maybe they can pull theirselves up next week. Mago is doing great which is totally awesome lol. Hopefully Bleach's color page this week will be better than the last boring one. And can't wait to read Anedoki when the scans are released.

Reader voting decides it for the most part but the editors can change it if they want. If the series has color pages its placed by the editors and so is Kochi. Jaguar is always at the bottom.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I hate how these things pop out of nowhere. Damn you Oda :p. He seems to take more breaks than any other mangaka in jump not named Hoshino or the HxH guy (I forget his name). Well, I guess he's earned the right to breaks :darn.

Has it been posted here?

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-07-01/3-new-to-love-ru-ova-volumes-green-lit

Three new To Love-Ru OVA episodes has been approved. So Volume 16 through Vol 18 will contain an OVA ep for each volume. So it looks like To Love-Ru manga will be safe at least till early next year. The 16th volume will ship on November 4. The 18th Vol around in May.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.2

Woot! Sket Dance at 3rd and Mago at 6. Way for both to stay out of the basement. I wonder if they have finally hit their stride again?

Bakuman bounces back up again from the bottom 5 into the top 5 as well. Maybe Gintama and Bakuman share the same base and they are alternating their votes between the two? XD

Toriko, Medaka, and Reborn sitting in the middle of the mag is alright with me.

Sad to hear no One Piece next week. Last week it was Toriko. My favorite series taking breaks one after another. =/

I can't wait for Kawashita's manga this week. ^_^

The Mago consistently being out of bottom 5 it's the only thing that makes me feel better of the Ice Revolution thing.

¿What's the deal about Bakuman and Gintama? It's so LOL.

Does anyone knows the ranking of last 10 chapters for Mx0? I'm still worried about the rumor, about cancelation of Mago. Despite of how ranking for two consecutive weeks, I'm afraid Mago getting same fate as Mx0.
