It's still such an alien thing to me to see Murase have a series decent enough to warrant such promotion (actually all this reminds me that I should get in my order for the volumes before long, so even the announcement for the colour pages to advertise the volumes worked for me. huh)

I'm not sure Mongrel got color because it is decent enough since Shirayukihime also got color like couple of chapters before it ended. For Shueisha, only Shounen Jump gives the color for decent series; except that, the other magazines just give color for the series whether it is doing decent or not.

hmm, fair point. And really, that not being the case for Shueisha's other anthologies is really pleasant when it means we get titles like this getting that bit of colour now and then.

Yes i think. "Fujisawa" said on his blog on December 3 he was hospitalized for one week (november 26 to december 2) and for two weeks he was off. So either he will return to the No. 04-05 (26/12) or in No. 06-07 (09/01).

Man, that is 100% my ideal line-up of CP there (to say nothing of how good that new series' lead colours look)

I do, when it's done right, but for me it's more the impressive facework and the choice of colours there. I'm a sucker for pretty, bright colours. it's like jangling keys in front of a baby.

On a side-note I just noticed the Mongrel volume covers squirrelled away there and man, that's some surprisingly good design work from Murase. I was gonna get them anyway, but it's nice to know they'll look cool at the same time.
