Mag Talk Weekly Young Jump (2007 - 2021)

You know I just realized it, but Young Jump has 3 series running right now that all take place in some form of restaurant; Tamata, Diner, and Snack Basue. Doesn't really seem that important, but it's interesting that they chose that type of setting for 3 serializations that are all newer.

They can have a crssover with SQ and create a restaurant exorcism manga.

Any one here read the Blue Phobia raws? I was intrigued by the 1st chapter a while back when it was scanlated, and was wondering what people's thoughts are(for those who read the raws).

I've read Chapter 1&2, isn't all that much to comment on from that. What I skimmed through of Chapter 3 seemed nice too. I think I'd have to give it a few more chapters for me not have any proper thoughts on it.
I'll probably be reading it by the volume regardless.

Lol, a funny thing about that trailer for the Young Jump App, is that Terraformars is listed together with the "Past Works", along with completed manga like Gantz, All you Need is Kill, and now Usogui.

Terraformars is dead to them.

I noticed that about Terraformars .

Im assuming this means a digital magazine finally? If anything, its a massive deal for Manga Editors. Makes doing YJ series weekly actually possible for the vast majority now, and will give more exposure in the west. Will probably pave the way for more and more series out of the mag to get done.

The manga was on a massive hiatus because the artist had health issues, so they might be ending it, it had a good run.

I noticed that about Terraformars .

Im assuming this means a digital magazine finally? If anything, its a massive deal for Manga Editors. Makes doing YJ series weekly actually possible for the vast majority now, and will give more exposure in the west. Will probably pave the way for more and more series out of the mag to get done.

Just in general it seems beneficial to have an app in these changing times. I'm glad for the Japanese readers, it'll be nice to have something like this for sure.

It also includes Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun as a series that's still ongoing then lol. I also saw Lycanthrope on there, which reminds me that it just entered into a hiatus with an unknown return... Hopefully this will attract some more readers to the magazine

Well, Seinen is just a demography. Remember that Houbunsha magazines are also Seinen with K-on and New Game and that Umaru-chan, Minamoto-kun Monogatari and Kaguya are part of Young Jump just like Youkai Shoujo was.

I'm super pumped to see all of this! Looks like part 2s do have the possibility of becoming a reality after all. I'm excited to at least take a look at the new stuff.
