Part 1 end? Huh?

Part 1 end? Huh?

Spoiler

Yes, it says "End of Part 1". I guess they're leaving the door open for continuation. Though considering past examples, I don't think it's certain that there will be an actual part 2.

[Jovan]

Kagetsu Jin is moving from Kodansha to Shueisha, will have a new manga in Weekly Young Jump at the beginning of 2020. He did Zeus no Te previously for Young Magazine at Kodansha.

So there are cases of Part 1 ends- Part 2 never comes out? Meanwhile, I am still waiting for Zetman Part 2...

WYJ also has Baton no Hoshi and Gunjou Senki (done by Libidors mangaka) on Part 1 limbo, but I am pretty sure these two will never come back.

[Blue Rock]

Spoiler: Gunjou Senki Sales (Book-rank)

v05 - 2014/11 - 17,736 (19)
v06 - 2015/02 - 17,572 (11)
v07 - 2015/05 - 17,842 (13)
v08 - 2015/08 - 20,911 (12)
v09 - 2015/11 - 22,264 (19)
v10 - 2016/02 - 22,839 (17)
v11 - 2016/05 - 23,092 (18)
v12 - 2016/08 - 22,109 (17)
v13 - 2016/11 - 21,529 (17)
v14 - 2017/02 - 22,488 (17)
v15 - 2017/05 - 20,082 (17)
v16 - 2017/08 - 22,061 (17)
v17 - 2017/08 - 22,721 (17)

Gunjou Senki's sales weren't that bad. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a continuation for it after Libidors concluded, maybe not in Young Jump though. Well, its sales weren't great either, so it wouldn't be surprising if there is no part 2.

I could swear it was “end of part 1” when it last ended. Funny how these things go

Somehow I'm not surprised by the comment for "Kanojo no Yasei ga Te ni Oenai" I think the series will sell pretty well. It's one of the few new series I enjoy reading on a weekly basis recently. Also the latest chapter was great.

Really? That's refreshing to here. I remember seeing a chapter for it a while back, and it looked pretty good, but since it was a new series premiering in WYJ, I didn't get my hopes too high lol. Hopefully it'll get translated soon

Another new comedy series from the looks of it? That's good to see. There was too much serious stuff for my taste, but I'm glad it looks like some new comedy series are starting to pop up again.

Shoseki Day 1 sales rankings for new volumes.

Tatsuya Endo's note helped nothing for Kanojo, seems like another flop newbie WYJ round. Douji Gunkan, which showed some early potential, is likely going to be down from Vol 2. Just a mess.

#2 Golden Kamuy Vol 19
#6 Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu Vol 15
