So more than him being a final boss, Enryu might be someone who previously lost to the final boss imo.
Let's assume the final boss is an admin because admins above the 134th floor are hostile, which could explain why Zahard closed the doors because beating admins is far beyond the capabilities of FHs and Zahard. Assuming that all admins have relative power, with some being more hostile than others (forget Headon; he's an outlier), how does Enryu lose to the final boss (if that admin is hostile) while casually defeating an admin of the floor of death? I believe Enryu was the final test, and because Zahard closed the doors, his primary purpose remained unfulfilled, which is why OG appointed him as his messenger. I mean, I'm not saying your statement is incorrect. It could be the case, but I think it's unlikely. If Enryu was the first climber, then he is the beta tester rather than the FHs. So there's that too. I mean, we're all developing theories here. So anything or anyone can end up being correct.

From what I see in messages here, Enryu might be alpha tester actually. He is not directly testing like GW did, but had (blogpost profile from 15 years ago) a cut above shinsoo management as well, maybe with the thorn or not. Besides, he has a clear position. It makes some sense for him to have a climbing past. Then we have another decision tree branching: is the 135th floor admin hostile really or was it a lie? There may be interesting scenarios from there on, but let's stop there. In short, I liked the idea of Enryu as a climber before GWs.

In my scenario the final boss most likely wouldn't be an admin, or maybe the final boss would require the climbers to beat the last admin and then..surprise ! second phase, now you gotta beat the Tower creator/Axis/God whoever it might be that can simply have the last admin eventually respawn. I am wilding ofc but i have no clue.

I think that him being a previous climber would track better but i am still skeptical, the GoG told the FH's they were beta testers and also hopeless if I remember correctly. Wouldn't make much sense if someone already completed the climb successfully beforehand. Unless Enryu was forcefully recruited by the God he currently serves and completing the climb in a way translates to a bad end. So more than him being a final boss, Enryu might be someone who previously lost to the final boss imo.
He could have been someone who completed the climb of a different tower.

Tog is separate from any other works of SIU lol. Phanta wants mago to be queen of tower yet didn't even seem to do anything to zahard himself.

Mago is said to be planet buster yet couldn't beat goat eduan.
I'm kinda lost on how this affects Phantaminum and the definition of what an Axis is per se.

Plus what he's shown they could do before in a comic.

This is boring Ray. :(
I know those things, and when you look at blog posts GoDai's translations, for instance, the first being there flies through space having a stick with balls at both ends (like the one on Headon), characters there are also from football players, and that is where the similarities end. SIU does not do space / galaxy scale things here. 652 chapters were in a single building. You can't casually scale that to galaxies anymore. Rather, the forest size change etc. as @Kibou stated might be elaborated with compression/decompression cases. Asa carried an island from floor to floor (the panels hinted me thee compressing something to carry situation, too), surely someone else can carry a forest.

I mean, those comics were drawn by SIU.

GoDai just translated them is all.

So space battles was a real thing SIU liked doing in the past, plus the other one he published on naver too.

And with the new lore it's sure that he's planning on going back to his roots when we reach the Outside I guess :amuse

In the official webtoon translation of chapter 1 of urek's adventure , there is no mention of different worlds or story.

This suggest there is only one outside world.

We are told 6 shining ones were strongest beings bar phantaminium himself who beat them all.

--In the latest chapter we see eduan beating mago even without using all his abilities or shinworyu so this confirms admins > shining ones inside the tower. Urek the strongest shininh one also yearns to fight/beat an admin.

--Yet enryu was able to kill an admin. So what can he be?

--Imo if we assume there exist only one outside world then either enryu is a being like phantaminium created by darkeness or a hidden shining one.

Thoughts?

I think you might not agree but I have a theory that enryu is also an axis like phanta yeah not some angel but an axis this would explain a lot like why he could kill an admin or appear anywhere in the tower and he said to even create life non of the other irregular have this feat be it great warriors or shinning ones .
Axis can serve stronger axis.

Maybe Enryu was a tower resident who was stationed or born on the tower's final floor (rather than the 134th), which explains his shinshoo mastery. Perhaps he learned from the original Ancient one, as well as the Plant and Machine gods. I'm just leaving it out there. Maybe he was the final boss of the tower, the final test given by the tower, but because Zahard closed the doors, his purpose remained unfulfilled, so the OG adopted him as God's messenger and granted him extra powers and the privilege of being an irregular who can come in and out of the tower whenever he wants. Just throwing this theory out there. Something that crossed my mind. They claim the admins above the 134th floor are hostile, and if he is the final boss stationed at the top, he may have been above the administrators from the start. Perhaps the tower made him that way. What are your thoughts @arrowofsky @MonsterBaam @Vali x lucifer @Kibou @Shinwonryu @Kenneth Latorre @Enkiduzz and the rest?
What would make more sense in that scenario is if he was a former GW companion, tried to suicide by 135th admin, got trained instead by said admin as revenge against Zahard for sealing the floor, then sent to the Outside, and then back to the Tower with the Thorn.

This would check the boxes of why he has shinsu mastery, how he’s an Irregular, and why he hates Zahard and cared about Arlene.

It’s a little convoluted. But this is ToG.

It’s unclear if Enryu was only able to kill an admin because had the Thorn or if that’s something he’s innately able to do without it. Not trying to start this discussion here, but the purpose of Urek being shinsu-less in FoD was to show that Bam being able to use shinsu was not from being an Irregular but from having the Thorn.

So, the Thorn granting an independent domain against the will of the Tower’s enforcers is very reminiscent of the powers belonging to an Axis. A god-like entity.

Meaning Enryu being a divine messenger checks out from that alone. It doesn’t explain his emotional attachment to Arlene, though he could have very well could have just been no diffing all those HRs like it was his day job.

However, this is what would connect the dots on all of that…Ok so Enryu’s massacre seemed emotional right like it was primarily motivated by disgust. Disgust. Anger. Repulsion. Contempt for Zahard for acting like a God…..but why would an Irregular Divine Messenger even care about what some guy does in the Tower and why would he even care about what heartbreak some lady might face?

There is actually an answer, and we may have some hints for it in the story.

Think about it, what physically connects Zahard and Arlene?

Their three-red-eye symbol, that we now associate as Zahard’s, earrings they both wear. Good chance, that not only do Zahard and Arlene come from the same place, but they come from the same civilization. The same civilization, with the same cultural practices, worshipping the same god...

In the panel or two we’ve seen of Arlene’s silhouette, what does her attire seem to be? That of a priestess…

Zahard was born with the seed of a king. Who gave that seed to him? Is he possibly betraying the mission of the being that gave that seed to him?

So now, we have a priestess and a boy with the “seed of a king” from the same kingdom, the boy larps as a God-King and betrays and commits a grave injustice against the priestess in the process……

And then a divine messenger comes from the Outside, comes to warn of retribution against the false King (God), and punishes him for desecrating the Shrine of….a priestess? Or his priestess? Or more exactly the priestess of his god...which is same god that ruled over Zahard when he was a boy. So it’s not only retribution for Arlene, it’s divine justice against an apostate.

Regarding Arlene and Zahard's earrings, @arrowofsky and I have already had a brief conversation about it. I believe those are FUG earrings, not Zahard earrings. If you look closely at the FUG symbol and Zahard's symbol, you will notice many design similarities. But I wouldn't mind if it was Zahard's earrings that he gave her because they may have been an item earlier in the climb, but as soon as they started climbing, Zahard began to change and Arlene found herself closer to V.

Your theory, @Shinwonryu is also solid. I can understand where you're coming from.

Its possible he is a lesser axis. Why not?

Hmm so you mean enryu is a super kind of admin? Its a good theory. Personally I want enryu and OG to be from different universe altogether but then it doesn't makes sense why enryu can use shinsoo to this extent from the start where as shinning ones can't and phanta didn't even use it.

So your theory is possible that enryu could be higher level of admin.

is this still a thing?
We are all using blog posts knowledge here and Phanta is a confirmed Axis. You don't have to believe it's still a thing, but nothing proves that it's been changed. A bunch of readers thought Phanta being an Axis wasn't a thing anymore until that unknown Redditor asked SIU.

No, not an administrator. He was the only tower resident born on the final floor, and as a result, he was the most knowledgeable about sinshoo. He was also taught by the OG ancient one, the machine god and the plant god, possibly as their son. Because admins are inherently ignorant because they are the absolute authority in the tower, he was on par with them due to his training, but OG intervention and adoption, as well as his being granted irregular status by him, allowed Enryu to kill an admin. Perhaps Thorn was a power bestowed upon him by the OG so that he could rise above the admin tier. Basically, OG blessed him and made him an ascended soul to serve as God's messenger, if that makes sense.

Zahard and Arlene coming from the same world/kingdom would add greater narrative weight for her “betrayal” in choosing V. And for her anger against Z.

Arlene’s earrings and the first design of Zahard’s earrings are three red thorns. That may hint they both already had a relationship to the entity that gave Enryu the Thorn.

After this spinoff seems like there’s only one Axis created and that’s phantaminun, the rest of the strongest seems to be Humans, aliens(since there’s a lot of planets with life in it) and shining ones at the top.

In ch 29, UM says angels are someone who are servants of the God ascends from heaven and since we know Enryu is servant of OG, and the way he appears, it seems Enryu can be called an angel. From how Leo who is an angel of Mago seems to have gotten some power from shinies, it's possible Enryu also has some power of OG.

I doubt enryu climbed the tower before the family heads. That would be too big a hole in the lore IMO. Enryu seems closely related to arlen as far as motivations go and it doesn't make sense with anything for him to have finished the climb before the heads. He'd be king of the tower. Add to that him simply showing up with an administator killing thorn...

That said, it's likely V dying was part of a contrived revenge plan. By all appearances he died, contacted folk outside and enryu delivering the thorn was part of the plan. I could buy enryu having entered the tower and discreetly partially or completely climbed the tower... Until out of sheer angel he destroyed the 43rd floor. Which to me looks like somewhat of a fuckup tbh. it'd make more sense if the plan was for him to deliver the thorn to V, not even bam.

Somebody mentioned Enryu???

Joke... I'm still believing into multiple outside worlds theory as we never before heard about Shining ones and you would think if Great Warriors knew about them there would be stories? Though that concept is probably much newer in SIU head and therefore he didn't plan to even make "shining ones" but as he got idea and implemented it now it kinda requires to justify why so much about outside world was not known, logical explanation is that there are multiple outsides. Also Arlene said that she doesn't know if her exit leads to the same outside where she came from, I honestly believe OG is just an entity on a level of Phanta or Darkness just from different "outside" world and that's it, as such Enryu can hardly be ranked to Urek, based on what we know he is stronger though until proven otherwise. Hell if we weren't readers and knew what SIU told us his achievements are far and beyond what Phanta did in the tower itself.

Climbing the tower isn't to become King of the tower though, that’s something Zahard imposed on over the tower. Its far more likely to just become transcendent through finishing the climb. Enryu is likely on that level when he can become a God/Axis or something.

and one plothole it fixes is how Enryu, if he’s a first time visiter to be even more godly than Admin in controlling shinsoo.
