By now the students have faced and defeated many villains, Izuku in particular, is seen as one of Tomura's first targets to be eliminated.

Considering that most, if not all, the story will take place in the school, you can not go on indefinitely with parents, teachers or even public opinion that triggers a fuss every time a villain attacks.

They have to accept that, even if they do not graduate, the boys have to decorate the villain. Aizawa seems to have already understood that since before the attack at the den of Chisaki tells Izuku that trying to stop him or recommend him to be careful is useless. Others when they do?

Bakugou and Todoroki are the only ones who can't act as heroes. The two others have licenses and that's why internships are possible, but the licenses are still temporary and it doesn't change the fact that they are students, not pros. During the raid, all of them were treated as heroes as you said, Deku was with his group. But outside of this, things are different.

The public is concerned because the school to teach heroes is constantly attacked by villains. Even heroes die.

Sure.

But even if they are students it means little and nothing. So many Shonen heroes are kids, if for this reason ....

In Naruto it is not that someone has ever handled the fact that fifteen years were sent to fight criminals ....

Well this is a different manga and the way Horikoshi is handling this is rather realistic IMO. In Naruto the situation is different.

The logical answer to that question is "many years down the line". They are basically children... And sure, they had several chances to fight at the front lines. But that is only because of the astonishing incompetence and stupidity that some adults have acted with. Nighteye was without a doubt the single stupidest character the manga has ever shown The children coming out alive out of the stuff their teacher's stupidity doesn't mean they should be given adult roles. It should mean they should be kept with as much distance as possible from adult like roles because adults are simply to incompetent to take care of themselves, let alone children. Take nighteye. The guy in the end died the pathetic death he died only because of how ill conceived everything he did was. His death is no one's fault but his own. The guy in the end was literally too incompetent to handle a mission. He seriously couldn't move 10 feet without something going wrong... I wouldn't trust the guy with a class pet hamster, let alone a child. And this was supposedly one of the more competent heroes around.

My take on it is possible around the end of their 2nd beginning of the their 3rd year of schooling, though that will also depend on whether or not a big incident occurs leading to needing the students help with support. Personally I think it be better not to treat them as heroes yet because its still their third year and they haven't really gotten much schooling and mental training (I hope we see something like this in the future but I doubt we will) so their more predisposed to making mistakes still.

There is a cultural difference in japan where once "kids" reach there teens are basically adults according to Japans society, so stating that they are children that can't do X doesn't hold up in japanese society. I do agree that how things where handled during the mission could've been handled better (outside of Horikoshi writing the arc full of contradictions and plot-holes) like mostly cut back on who was actually apart of said mission,: Deku, Mirio and Kirishima where the only ones who had legitimate reason to be there
