Hey guys, I was just wondering about Big Mom. Disappointed? Yes. I still can't believe one of the freaking Yonko is such a joke.

But let's talk about O-Lin.

1. Queen Mama Chanter is knocked by King and Big Mom falls in the ocean and she lost her memory. ENTERS O-LIN

2. Queen hits her head with his Brachio Bomber move. Big Mom regains her memory. ENTERS BIG MOM

3. Franky hits her with his super bike. What do you think it'll happen?

I think it's complicated to beat both Kaido and Mom. Even though most fans won't like it, that could be a way to take Big Mom out, to insert a ton of comedy and to save her for the future.

I have no idea. It's certainly a possibility, but I'll say I don't think it will happen just because I would like Big Mom to not become an even bigger joke.

I honestly do not get why people are so angry by this turn of events - Big Mom has been introduced as a superhuman pirate with personality disorders since the start of the Whole Cake island saga - do you remember Jinbe and the croquembouche or how it was stated that she had destroyed countries over food issues in Fishman Island? We saw how she could even kill her own children in her tantrums and why her family had to hide things from her due to her mental issues. O-Lin is a natural turn of events for Big Mol in a closed country she does not know and which does not know her after several appropriate hits on the brain.

Oda decided to introduce both Big Mom and Kaido with psychological weaknesses (madness, tantrum, depression, death drive etc...) so that they could be beaten during the Yonko saga. Some people like Whitebeard or Shanks would never get beaten by the Alliance given how stable they mentally are and how they rule their territories.

Agree. But there should've been more development imo. I was thinking "Oda is wasting opportunities". But every turn of events regarding this matter is acceptable. The only thing I question is exactly what good will come from this?

If all it took was couple of pirate crews to disrupt both Yonko's, then they would have been dethroned ages ago.

Especially BM character has been written as a joke. Memory loss once is acceptable, twice isn't. It's just convenience for the SHs and alliance. Franky's sneak attack is another unacceptable move.

If BMs memory loss and her retracting to her child state was frequent, then she would have been defeated by an Admiral level threat ages ago.

Perospero is coming and he is not happy about hte alliance with kaidou. He will try to break the alliance some way. And then after the bigmom kids enter the war maybe they will break the alliance and resulting in 3 way war with strawhat vs bigmom vs kaidou.

Yeah, Big mom didn’t seem too concerned with Kaidou being attacked... seems like she’ll take his help if he’s offering, but is more or less indifferent to his wellbeing.
Edit: She seemed more upset about the interruption of the party than the fact that the guy throwing it was attacked.

O-lin is just big mom's normal personality. Eating Mother Carmel (and absorbing her personality) as well as being mentored by streusen is what led to Big Mom being such an old crone. Her story and arc will be resolved on Elbaf.

Don’t know if I agree with that assessment of Big Mom, but I like the idea of her overcoming years of bullshit like that and ending up in Elbaf. But I think you are dead on with her original personality popping up while she was concussed! I hadn’t even considered her returning to her childhood personality like that.. but I guess it’s only logical. I mean we are all just a compilation of our memories, so without them we return to our childlike state.. if losing all of your memories is even possible.. but I severely digress..... (sorry for all the dictionary shit. I read a lot lol)

I am for one not disappointed by Big Mom and definitely dont think of her as a joke. She's been a monster since the age of 5 capable of taking down elbafian giants, but i guess this is beyond the scope of the discussion.

Franky's bike isn't nearly the size of Queen in his DF form, so i dont think its enough to send her into Olin form. I think Luffy will have to fight her to an extent to slow her down with aide from the rest of the strawhats.
