One of the bad sides of One Piece is how much the author stretches some arcs, like Dressrosa. But with good pacing, he can develop dozens of characters with no problem.
And I doubt characters like the Red-Haired Pirates or Revolutionary Army are going to have more development than the Whitebeard Pirates in Marineford.
The Blackbeard Pirates are the only ones that the author is obligated to spend time with.

To be honest I think a lot of that comes down to the weekly schedule, pacing a story arc that can last a 100 chapters every week is madness no matter how good of a writer u are. I think we will get some development this arc now that there is a two weeks before a chapter, faster pace means a faster story

The author did good in splitting the Strawhats (it's hard to develop 9 characters), however instead he added a dozen of fighters with them. He should instead have focused only on the Strawhats, and a few others like Bartolomeo and Cavendish.

I agree with u in that the one piece story can get dragged in arcs. The point I meant to make was that I think a lot of that comes down to the weekly schedule. In my opinion I think that a story like one piece should be spread out at least 2 weeks for a chapter instead of a week
BB is such a huge scavenger and I'm somewhat hoping for once he's off the scene completely.
RE Kidd and Law, indeed they're miles behind, both in crew quality and Captain strength compared to the StrawHats. I'm not really sure the heart pirates need to keep up per say. The dynamic is actually between the captains (specifically Luffy-Kidd-Law) and not necessarily their crews. Even if they beef up their crews, it wouldn't exactly make them as dangerous as Luffy. Probably also need to consider the purpose for their crews getting beefed up. We're not going to focus on their stories, so even if these characters did join, there's no much relevance imo. The opponents now are end-game (yonko) and I feel these worst gen will need to ally when they fight the yonko (they know this as well and have been doing so). What's more important is how Kidd and Law grow with regards to Luffy. Particularly Kidd. We saw Luffy actively learning and training advanced CoA while Kidd was..sulking? I don't recall if he did any sort of training so for all intents and purposes, he's basically same as when he came into Wano except probably the slight boost in overall stats due to working when cuffed with seastones. Same thing with Law as well. Luffy meanwhile was already more powerful and got even stronger.
I think the best we'll get are comic scenes like Kidd reacting to Jinbei joining and telling his crew not to fall behind or Luffy trying to race Kidd or the three in some epic panel for combo attacks. In the end, in what matters is not the crew but Luffy-Kidd-Law themselves because it's pointless if their crews are roughly the same but Luffy outclasses the rest and frankly, I don't see them keeping up at all.

For bounties, Luffy got a 1 billion increase for crashing BM's party, defeating YCs and successfully escaping BM. If Kaido falls here (which he would I guess). Luffy will get upwards of 1.5billion increase so we're looking at 3bil at least. It wouldn't matter that he had allies or otherwise since he will be the central figure (and he's already dubbed 5th yonko anyway). It'll end up being phrased as Luffy and allies bested Kaido IN his territory. Asinine really. The only reason why he might not even be fully listed as a yonko is because his territory coverage is not that wide though with the Grand fleet in place, I'm pretty sure that's going to change soon.
I think Kidd is the only one of his crew crazy or dangerous enough to hang with the Straw Hats. I wonder if Kidd could have done much better if he wasn't betrayed, though, and that's probably why we haven't seen him really train.

No, I don't think that works. Wano's erratic pacing (pre-Onigashima, at least) is imho the low-point of One Piece, and Wano arc doesn't even feature many villains till Onigashima.
Every character has to contribute something to the story, and I don't see the Wano Supernova contributing anything Post-Wano. Ther purpose as legit competitors is over once Luffy has beaten a Yonko. They might still be around in some form, but I wouldn't put my hopes up too much.
Largely agree there, but I think the Red-Hair Pirates make more sense in the second arc, as Shanks seems to be targeting Blackbeard (Gorosei dialogue). The next arc certainly will involve the events set up in Levely. Rather than one large arc, I see many mini-arcs, one of which being Elbaf, and it is more of a dynamic arc around a global conflict breaking out. I think the "final war" is already ongoing as of now.
