Once I watched a video of a guy that said (with more details obviously):

¨I used to go to this lunch place just to watch this girl, spent weeks doing so. She was crazy beautiful. I was unconfident, and afraid of asking her out. The guys from the place already recognised me because of that

Then, one day, this black guy came in, saw the girl and inmediatly said -Do you have a boyfriend? Wanna go out?- And he left the place with the girl.

i met jo thru a mutual girlfriend...just kicked it with her
but,i never been ashamed to ask a name...but i never been a disrespectful person to women period...growing up in my moms house with my grandma....believe me i learned how to act...
but,i always apologize for bothering them if it is the 1st meeting...then may say something like...
i just had to know your name...no do you have boyfriend,no number....if they are interested in my name....hey i'm in there
my basic simple approach to datin...all they got to do is ask what my name is....

If I really like a girl, I get unrealistically awkward, stutter, my head turns all red and I act like a little bitch.
BUT, that totally did the trick a couple of times.
