I think the firephant is an immediate DD, one of the five originals, but *who* was the one that gave Hana the flames originally? It could be the fire-user and one and the same as what's in EVK right now. Or the original giant, or maybe what's in EVK isn't one of the original 5, but 'just' a DD of the original.
In any event, was EVK a Yeon flame user before the elephant was joined to her? Was a prerequisite for taking the elephant to be a Yeon-blooded flame user? It's not coincidental it's a female using the same flame that's in the Yeon family, right?
Or maybe Bloodmadder, right? SIU has a thing when it cames to making Villains. He got so many of them and maybe more in his Sleeve.
I loved how he draws Yurin's personally (from her dialoque with Yuri)
And i wish Hana had some kinds of resemblaces with Yurin as what i got they seems alike (only Hana has no child(or having secret child) and that she had gentle personality in contras to young Yurin(but much scarier when angry))

I am more curious over the flame. How does it works after all? And is it her power being doubled by the gift or completely her power?
From what we all got, tower of God character having weapon or anything was just how much the user ability instead.
Just like Baam having red needle but he ia more amazing to be able to handle it(as what other characters commenting that)
I want to believe it's her own power, we don't need second Rachel in ToG.
Her flame seems to be herself just like Yeonhwa(from the gamer if you know it)
And she was like using kagebunshin..
I mean, i think wildly that she had been there already, she's the fish, she can control her power accordance to the part of her body power there..
We seen how yasracha turned himself to that purple thing, maybe Hana was the fire sweetfish
Maybe she said 'like that pig' was meant to Illarde. I believe she had her own problem that she need to form a family but doesn't want to no matter what reason and that start a family this way
Parting her power in which she didn't do towards her old comrades
I didn't what kind of situation Drive her that way tho
The flames that Hana won are just something more to her.
Just like the anima power of Rei.
Or Hon's S+ sword.
It doesn't make them weak, it's just a boost.
Not only can she raise flame to a totally different level than her descendants, her shinwonryuu must involve flames as well.
Furthermore, Yeon can create weapons from their flame and Yasratcha says that the EVK flame doesn't have the same dignity as the Yeon flame (although he hasn't seen her ancient power).
Yeah.. especially since SiU said Baam isn't an OP.
I don't get it how Bam worker hard, it simply how he was born the way he do. No matter how others trainee, they wouldn't get their 'inside' getting large 'space' and absorbing things...
And now, even tho i love the touch of little romanve (even tho one sidedly) people had to him, this thing become too much after Rei proposalヽ((◎д◎))ゝ
ToG - where one can find infanticide (probable neonaticide), genocide, filicide, human sacrifice, mass murder, murder games, torture/genetic manipulation, murder-suicide, childhood abandonment, psychological torture, isolation, tyranny/fascism, theft of youth, idolatry/cults, xenophobia/xenocide, probable rape, carrying dead babies around in your fanny pack, etc.
but the forbidden 'love' of a (not even actualized) incestuous relationship (and common Asian lit/mythos trope) is a bridge too far?
Gotta be something crazy enough to write off ALL MEN FOREVER. Just sayin'
If you think a bit hazily, you can tie together (a) gaining the life-restoring power of Yoga Yeon flame and (b) forswearing the life-creating power of Yeon. You do have to think pretty hazily/fuzzily to get there—in theory, at least, there's a long route from "will not feel love for opposite to sex" to "will never procreate"...but, I mean, so far as we know she's already walked that route.
What makes me think this might be it—or part of it—is the extreme rarity of any "supernatural healing" powers in ToG: the only examples we know of are (a) immortality-contract byproducts (Arlene, great warriors, Zahard), (b) likely derivatives thereof (Wangnan/Karaka), and (c) the flame of Yeon. The lack fo "enhanced medical facilities" really stands out to me: we have floating ships, synthetic people, living ignition weapons, magical blood transfusions, etc., but so far as we've seen tower medicine is at—at best—an essentially contemporary level and usually requires lots and lots of bedrest.
Has there been anyone to explicitly state such a thing? No.
Have there been examples of these things happening to characters? Yes.
Just think about how the princesses are picked relatively early. They don't get to enjoy their childhood or develop as normal human beings, whatever that is in the tower, before they're made into killers. In fact, it seems like very little people have a 'normal youth' in the tower.
Androsi had a normal-ish childhood before she got selected as a princess. To be specific, she was extremely poor, then got adopted and was happy with her family, and then her family got brutally murdered so that she could get a chance at becoming a princess. There's was a small window somewhere in her past where she enjoyed a semblance of what we could almost reasonably refer to as normalcy.
I do think that most people in the tower do enjoy relatively normal lives (within their own context and culture). We just don't really see this because the series is not about them. The tower's population numbers in the billions or trillions or higher. Each floor has potentially billions of people and the empire has at least 134 floors. Out of that population, a tiny percentage has the capacity to use shinsoo at all. Out of those even fewer have the capacity to advantage through the tower climb. Out of those increasingly fewer have the talent to advance through the ranks until they become of the select 100000 rankers the tower has. And out of that 10% become advanced rankers and 1% high rankers. The last instance of normal people in the tower being showcased to some capacity was at the wall of peaceful coexistence and the story was not even kind to them. Even though these are people that would be 110% helpless if they were to fight an unranked regular...

Well, sure. The point wasn't that it is common place per se (it is for the selected characters as many if not most have some sort of tragic backstory), it's that it is part of the darker elements of storytelling that SIU is willing to take the content. Just a single example is sufficient to make my greater point that the author is willing to go dark thematically, and there is a pretty broad spectrum of abuses and the like, making the story transgressional at times. I'm not attempting to apply any of those themes to any and all characters, just making a note that all of humanity's evils have been represented, so it's not like another one would be a bridge too far (re: incest as well).
I can already imagine a " Jahad going along with Hana's confession for the time being because he is jealous of V and Arlene but couldn't forget Arlene in the end" scenario.
Plot twist: the 'man' she couldn't get over was Rei (more like manlet, manboy, etc), and this also explains his issue with love and betrayal (she contracted to forget him entirely, or to at least be over him forever). Thus, asshole Rei is born.
Going back to my 'many if not most contracts with admin have equivalent exchange which can often be a negative' theme - maybe this action birthed Leviathan.
Almost like when bad wishes were made with the dragonballs, it created the evil dragons or something to that effect.
