Yo, I'm new around here, saw this thread, decided to register!
Here's mine~
Also, before you ask why it's
this detailed, I was writing a HxH fic, and the main character uses this technique :')
Decide 24 - Definitely Me [Emission/Manipulation]
Decide 24 emits a doppelganger which is visually exactly identical to the user at the time of creation. It, however, is conjured barely clothed as creating clothes would require more conjuration as well. Consciousness is shared between the real body and Decide 24 i.e. the user can control both bodies at the same time without any delays or so. While physical sensations aren't shared between bodies, anything observed and learnt is.
The User
The user can only materialize 1 Decide 24 at any given moment. Clones can be dispersed (willingly or unwillingly) instantly and created anew, but this is very taxing on the body and Nen reserves - ideally, the user only spawns 1 clone every 3 hours, and only about 5 every 24 hours.
The user is able to shut down bodily functions of the clone in order to regulate Nen flow better (i.e. spend less Nen on things that wouldn't matter at that moment). On downside, functions cannot be turned on again - they stay off till the clone is dispersed, at which time a new clone can be created with the functions on again.
It takes about 10 seconds for a new clone to materialize completely. A clone can be materialized up to 10 meters away, only condition being that the user must be able to see at least part of the clone while materializing it. This doesn't have to be directly, as seeing it through video feed counts as well, as long as it is within the 10 meter threshold. The clone is usually materialized either standing or sitting.
At all times do clone and body know where the other is.
Decide 24
Decide 24 is usually in a state of Zetsu, and is not able to use any Nen-techniques the user is able to use, unless Release 24 is used. The clone is fully functional within a 10 kilometer radius, beyond that it goes in a comatose state, and after a few hours, will disperse. If Decide 24 would 'die' within the active range, the body would stay materialized until dispersed. Once deactivated, Decide 24 can be used again. Anything Decide 24 learns, sees, hears etc. the user automatically learns, sees, hears, etc. as well.
Decide 24 has the same anatomy and bodily functions as the user, and is subject to the same limitations imposed on the user (blood flow, digestive system etc. All the same as the users at that exact moment). The main difference is that Decide 24 cannot use any Nen to protect or enhance itself.
The clone can function as long as the user is alive and has Nen - if the user is asleep, drunk, unconsciousness or wounded, the clone can still function as intended. Nen is transferred automatically between the 2 bodies. Decide 24 can stay active for an indefinite amount time, as long as the user is able to provide Nen. Every 24 hours, upkeep costs double. At all times does the user know how long it can (keep) maintain(ing) a clone.
Release 24 [Emission/Manipulation]
The users trump card in terms of offensive skills, Release 24, releases Decide 24 from its state of Zetsu, and enables it to use any Nen skill/ability the user could use. This enables Decide 24 to use skills like Ko, In, En, Gyo and Shu. To preserve utility, this skill can be turned on and off at will - activating the technique requires 10 seconds, as well as 10 seconds to turn off. During both times, either body must not move to complete the technique (being in motion, however, is allowed). At this time, Decide 24 is not allowed to use any Nen technique either. While Release 24 is active, Decide 24 cannot be canceled. If the clone disperses while Release 24 is active, another clone cannot be made for 10 minutes.
While Release 24 is active, the upkeep cost is higher, on top of the cost to use the technique itself. As such, the user cannot use this too often, as a great amount of Nen is required to use Release 24 continuously while fighting (assuming the user itself is also using Nen to fight).
Castle [Emission/Manipulation]
The users trump card in terms of defensive skills. The user switches places with Decide 24. This technique is fairly exhausting, so it can't be used to often in terms of cost, but it can be used in succession. The technique merely swaps the bodies with one another - nothing else is swapped between body and clone.
The technique is fairly versatile as it the user can create a clone on the other of a glass wall or fence, and then proceed to swap places with the clone. Swapping places must be done within 50 meters of each other. Either body must be able to see the other one while swapping.
It takes a full minute to complete the technique. The bodies are allowed to move during this technique, but the user cannot use any Nen-technique but Decide 24 while switching. While switching, any damage taken by either body is shared (sensationally, only one body can take the actual damage).
Usage and Combat
With the exception of Release 24, Decide 24 trades away innate Nen abilities for utility. Being an identical copy of the user, the user can employ the clone in a great number of ways. Also, anything Decide 24 learns about, the user learns as well. Since it's fully functional, the clone and the user can clear tasks in far less time than a single individual could. While mechanical skills aren't transferable from clone to user, intangible information learnt is.
Combat-wise, the user may choose to hide the clone his clone in the shadows, using it for a surprise attack or so. The clone is usually in a state of perfect Zetsu, so it can't be sensed easily either. Since the clone feels no pain (or rather, the user doesn't, it just knows that the clone is in pain, and in how much pain, he just isn't handicapped by it himself), clone can fight for prolonged situations against opponents that would normally capitalize on prolonged exchanges. Also, because of the nature of the clone, it is suited for suicidal attacks.
In combat, if hard-pressed against an opponent who has figured out the truth behind the clone, the user may opt to use its trump card, Release 24, which allows the clone to use Nen as well. In this state the clone is free to use
In,
Ko and other techniques.
Tl;dr
- Was a long read, but is straight-forward and simple
- Identical clone usually in a state of Zetsu that is fully functional within a 5 kilometer radius for an indefinite amount of time as long as Nen can be provided, which happens automatically.
- Anything intangible the clone learns is shared between bodies. As a matter of fact, they kinda share the same consciousness, so either body is aware of anything happening to the other, automatically.
- When the clone 'dies' it does not disperse automatically, it just stays there. Once deactivated, the clone disappears and the technique can be activated again.
- User can swap locations with clone within a certain range
- User can choose to activate Release 24, which allows the clone to use Nen techniques, for a higher upkeep cost on top of the Nen cost for the technique itself.
