Question, if your sword is invincible but you get hit hard enough wouldn't the force of the blow simply break your arm or hand instead, assuming the sword doesn't absorb energy somehow.
Depends on what properties you attribute to 'invincible' - it's unclear what exactly you mean hm
You are, in a very real way, over thinking it. He is invisible, it is completely irrelevant because he hasn't attacked me. If he goes invisible, and I was witness to it, I would obviously be able to put up defensive nen in preperation. But if I suddenly get punched in the face, I would be able to activate my hatsu. But I'll be honest with you, no one else in my campaign group had any trouble understanding, like I said, you're are just over thinking it.
@Zakatakk: If you are talking to me I don't know where the idea of a sword came in since I never mentioned it.
First of all, just because no one else in your group thought about it, doesn't mean it's not potentially wrong
Secondly, you keep making this distinction between offensive and defensive nen, while there is none. There's just a difference in how much nen is put in a spot, which in turn can serve to be either defensive or offensive.
Another thing I had trouble understanding was that a condition you have says 'if I've still failed to beat them after the 3 times, I die' - what counts towards a 'chance'?
In general, my one gripe is that you attribute certain properties to nen that it does not actually posses.
Naturally, this is only semantics I suppose, and yes, in a way it's over thinking it. I'm only discussing this with you because the ability itself is cool and you've spent some time thinking up multiple abilities - i.e. worth the time to discuss it over.
