7. Beet the Vandel Buster *This Manga is freaking interesting*

It's been almost two years since I posted my top 5, so I guess this time I can do a top... 6.

1. Fruits Basket (10/10 - art is okay at first, gets better later. The story made me both laugh and cry though. It's like the most heartwarming manga in the whole unverse.)
2. Berserk (10/10 - great art, great characters, epic story, what else does one need?)
3. Vinland Saga (9.5/10 - art is of the kind of quality that you rarely see in manga, it's both very detailed and very clean. Characters are great, especially Askeladd, who really carries the show. Story has some faults, but still is better than most.)
4. Historie (9/10 - The art is not the best out there and action scenes look really static, but the story is absolutely awesome)
5. GANTZ (Phase 1 only) (8.5/10 - haven't seen anything with better action scenes, and Kurono's character development is just too awesome to describe)
6. Fullmetal Alchemist (8/10 - hey, a shounen with an actually good story! I would have liked some more fighting though.)

Everything else I read doesn't really deserve being put into something that has word "top" in it. Though Dragon Ball gets a honorary mention since I'm actually buying it, and not just downloading and reading on my computer.

Well, I don't really have one favorite but LOTS of favorites:

1. Blame! - Love the old artwork

2. Berserk - Seeing Gutts grow and change over time is awesome

3. Blade of the Immortal - Just where did that old hag get those worms?

4. Rurouni Kenshin - Great for the feel good moments as well as keeping the plot going with action

5. Vagabond - Have to read if for nothing else than watching him slaughter all of 70 of the Yoshioka

6. Ubel Blatt - Everybody likes some Ecchi every now and then!

7. Gantz - Action, Tits, Gore, Guns, Aliens

8. Monster - Great mindgame manga before the author made 20cb

9. Eden - I can't put into words what I really like about Eden, but I like Eden a lot. It must be the sex scenes, drugs, guns

10. Battle Angel Alita - Action + Action + Whatdoesitmeantobehuman + Action and the Last Order is good too

11. Claymore - Chicks with huge swords, its like 100 Clouds running around killing each other

12. Parasyte - GREAT thinking manga with a unique style that ponders about what it means to be human (lots like battle angel alita)

13. Historie - Another up and coming manga by Hitoshi Iwaaki (made Parasyte), does not really delve into the meaning of life but follows the life of quite an interesting guy

14. Yu Yu Hakusho - Classic that first got me into watching anime/manga when it first came on the air in the US, I think rycolaa was 1 chapter away from finishing the manga Edited Manga too

15. Dragon Ball - Same thing with Berserk, loved to see Goku grow from a child to an adult only he still had a screw or two loose at the end

16. 3x3 Eyes - An older manga but still great with amazing abilities just jumping around our wu friend

17. Hellsing - I just love to see Alucard killing everything in sight with nothing but bloodlust till the very end

18. Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles - While the style through me off at first the storyline just drew me in

19. Zetman - Good vs Evil? pfft, just kill them all while saving the girl Zet!!!

20. Shin Angyo Onshi - Bang Ja annoys the hell out of me but the manga still kept it interesting the whole way through

1) Rurouni Kenshin - Great, lovable characters and a lots of action
2) Fullmetal Alchemist - Lovable and quirky characters and an amazing plot
3) Vagabond - Great artwork and characters
4) Trigun Maximum - Lovable characters but the plot can be confusing at times
5) Slam Dunk - Funny and exciting with good characters but the plot can is a bit repetitive especially towards the end
6) Lovely Complex - the only shoujo manga I can stand, has funny and quirky characters but gets repetitive half way through
7) Death Note - it's intelligent and interesting but after the death of a certain character the story felt like it draged on
8) Naruto - i think the story before the time-skip was really really good
9) One Piece - it was the best during the Water 7 and Ennies Lobby arc
10) Claymore - lot's of action but i don't like the art

16-one piece (just for the comedy)

of course the comedy is funny as hell but read the story too man...
i mean if you already adapt to Oda's art. the next step is loving it!!!

1) Dragon Ball - It introduced me in the world of mangas
2) Fist of the North Star - EPIC overall! especially the characters & the gore
3) Saint Seiya - I love the Greek Mythology and the cloth of the Saints
4) One Piece - I love everything about it
5)Hunter x Hunter - The ant arc is slowly becoming the best arc of HxH...damn hiatus
6) Change 123 - Split personalities rules!
7)Soul Eater - Death the Kid & Blackstar...do I need to say more?
8)Shin Angyo Onshi - Beautiful! Great plot and awesome characters
9) Vinland Saga - Vikings are awesome, especially ASKELADD!!!
10)Naruto - The first save Sasuke arc was the best arc
11)Psyren - I'm enjoying it so far
12) Gantz - Has the most badass characters like Host, Kei, Katou, Izumi & Nishi^^
13) Fullmetal Alchemist - You can't mess around with the Elric brothers
14) Fairy Tail - the villains are often pathetic except for LUXUS!!
15) Berserk - Griffith is way too perfect, there's nothing he can't do
16) Bleach - Ichigo has become a one man show, there's no teamwork like in the Soul Society arc
17)Tenjou Tenge - Bob is M.I. A.
18) Mixim - I've started to read it, like it so far
19) Jackals - The lack of chapters makes me sad
20) Reborn - The current arc is getting out of hand

1. Elfen Lied - Best manga of all time imo. Nuff' said.
2. Death Note - Didn't really expect L to die. The twists and turns of the plot was damn exciting. Unpredictable, and epic.
3. D. Gray-Man - Same as Death Note, the twists and turns were really interesting. The new arc is hxc too.
4. Alive! The Final Evolution - Awesome plot. Kept me interested from the beginning 'till now.
5. Psyren - Just finished reading it two days ago, and the first few chapters were amazing. Not progressing much lately, but still good enough to be here. If only it was more like the game Forbidden Siren.
6. FLCL - Godly art style is godly. That drew me in to read the manga.
7. Ai Kora (Love and Collage) - Gave me the lols, too bad the translations were stopped for a while. Funniest manga ever imo.
8. Air Gear - The ecchi is five stars. Story was quite hxc in some chapters and epicly funny.
9. ToraDora - Another twisty manga mixed with love and comedy. Read the light novel, still ain't really finished yet. Hope the new chapters come out already. If they do, this will skyrocket up to 3rd place.
10. Rurouni Kenshin - My favorite anime when I was little. The manga was just as great too.
11. Fullmetal Alchemist - The latest volumes were really interesting, that I got sucked into it.
12. Beelzebub - Just barely started but its giving my the lols already. The pee scene was hilarious.
13. Asu No Yoichi - Really hilarious and 4 stars ecchi.
14. Undead (Kazura Inoue's) - Freaking dramatic. The series doesn't focus on a main story. The fact that it was divided into different stories was hxc imo.
15. Chobits - Manga was funny, but the anime was hilarious. The story was decent but the ending was a bit unfortunate.
16. Mahou Sensei Negima! - I don't know why this manga is here myself. I mean it should be in the top ten right? Well, the new chapters weren't progressing anymore lately, but still, good job Akamatsu.
17. Watashitachi No Tamura-Kun - A really odd story, but it caught my attention and got me interested in it. It deserves to be here.
18. Yu Yu Hakusho - Another one of my favorite anime when I was little. Just finished reading the manga, and the story is quite good.
19. Yankee-kun to Megane-chan - The story caught me off guard. I was just reading it out of boredom, but it turned out pretty well.
20. Claymore - I don't really know why this is here either, but just leave it at that.

I tried to do a more serious top-10 this time.

1) One piece
This manga is a revolution. The amount of things that is in each chapter is enormous. Oda can put so much thing in one panel. It's funny and unpredictable. The only bad points are a slow start and a new kind of graphics for which you need time to adapt. So much fun on a daily basis, it's just the best you can find

2) Death Note
A scenaristic masterpiece. Almost flawless from beginning to end. The only bad point is the aspect "I know that you know that I know ..."

3) 20th century boys
From the best writer in the mangaka world (Pluto, Monster and this). In terms of quality, It could have been my absolute favourite but the end isn't as good as the rest of the manga. But still, it's an amazing story that everyone should read.

I still call this one the "light Berserk". Berserk is too emotionally fucked-up for me

5) Claymore
Great scenario, great characters, good graphisms and a little bit of gore.

6) Eyeshield 21 & Hajime no Ippo
The two best mangas around sport: the hilarious E21 and the well-done HNI

8) Shamo & Vagabond
Main character searching for true identity ... which is a killing monster in both cases

10) Fairy Tail
Mix between One piece & Rave ...when the anime will be done, I'm sure that it will become one of the most popular manga worldwide.

Special mention: Gantz, Living game , ichi the killer, GTO, hunter x hunter (fuck those ants though), shin angyo onshi (fuck that flashback and fuck the end), ...

Unclassified: Naruto & Bleach ... at their best, both mangas are in my top-5 but .... hum ... yammy nonsense (hopefully a fake) & godlike sasuke ... I don't want to argue but both mangas currently sucks from my point of view.

I feel i have a vague understanding of your sense of humor so..... you really should give One Piece a read.

I'm willing to predict that once you get to decent amount through it you will hit parts that will make you laugh so hard you will fall to the floor and roll around clutching your sides while tears stream down your face. Even days later you will suffer random bursts of crazed laughter due to remembering what you read.
