I base Zoro being than any swordsman on Zoro saying that he will be the best swordsman of all times, regardless of who those competitors are, whether it is Roger, Rocks, Shanks, Mihawk, Ryuma, Rayleigh or any other combatant classified as a swordsman. Zoro is guaranteed to be stronger than them.
Sanji has nothing to place him at those altitudes except his fans' wishes that he is close to Zoro, which he never was. The weird thing is that the gap is so obvious for anyone who understands the basics of combat and yet there are so many arguing against it, it's beyond me to understand why...
Zoro cutting through rock which is impressive for someone of Zoro's level. But not grounds to put him above someone who defeated 2 Yonko Commanders and now has FS and ACoA(internal damage)
I told you a feat where Zoro dwarfs Luffy. You couldnt fathom it. Nameless casual slash split a mountain in two while G3 Grizzly Magnum only managed to break off the head of the mountain. The feat is not "just cutting some stone", it is cutting through a mountain amount of stone.
If Roger is classified as swordsman, it is not an issue of have or doesnt have.
Yes, PK is harder because it requires other things than just a stronger individual.

The basics of combat? You bring real world feats where we have proof that Garp without any weapons can challenge the likes of Rocks, Roger, Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido who wield weapons.
You thinks swords automatically place people above weaponsless people when that is not a fact. There are countless style of combat and swordsmanship is not proven to be placed over any other forms of combat.
Your trying to put Zoro's feats against Luffy's to distract from the fact that your assessments of Zoro/swords/swordsmanship is just terrible.
Make a Zoro and Luffy thread if you wanna go there, but Zoro isnt stronger than Luffy and that gap has only widened.
You let me know when Zoro defeats someone stronger than Pica and we will take about feats because your can scream feats all you want but unless you have feats against competent opponents they are just "meh" you forget Zoro needed to be thrown to launch his slash and then a Kings Punch was needed to mitigate the damage.
If we are to believe Zoro awoke haki during his battle with Mr. 1, it stands to reason Sanji and Luffy could have as well. Luffy was shown to block blade based attacks with his sandals and Sanji does it with his shoes. They wouldn't escape unharmed but they could definitely pull off a win
We have no reason to believe that though, especially when both would be cut to ribbons if they attempted to attack Daz and weren't fast enough to hit him before he turned his body to sword. COuld he do that to his face though?
Didn't he use his sandals to stop the blades by gripping the sides? ANd did Sanji do it against Zoro or?

Ah, yes. Garp, the last straw. Show me exactly how Garp deals with sharp weapons. You cant. Show me how any barehanded combatant deals with swordsman of equal power/tier. You cant.
Swordsmanship is indeed superior to other combat styles and the basics of combat work in OP just fine.

I am not trying anything. It is a fact that Zoro's casual slash outperforms the best Luffy had pre TS+CoA, easily or as I said, it dwarfs Luffy. It is not easy to acknowledge when you want to put Luffy on a pedestal. It is Luffy who receives all kinds of power-ups to catch up to the game and to stay relevant since his abilities so far have been ineffective while Zoro will always be effective.

Say no more. Overpowered Admirals gravity with single sword attack and pushed the said Admiral back who complimented the attack.
Pica, with Dressrosa's amount of stone supply, is all but someone to look down upon.
As for defeating someone strong, other than Pica, you will have to wait for Wano's end.

We had no reason to believe Zoro could awaken haki during his fight with Mr. 1 either, but he did now that Oda tied in "Breath of all things" to haki.
There is no reason to think Luffy or Sanji couldn't come up with a way to hurt Mr. 1.
People very often seem to forget that Luffy p
had the strength of a Shichibukai back in East Blue. And his ability to adjust to opponents fighting styles is second to none in One Piece. Sanji can take a beating.
Haki blooms in adversity... fighting an opponent who damages them every time they touch him fits the bill.

1. Your opinion, not a fact that swordsmanship is the best. And his feats are that he defeated Rocks along side Roger. Garp "THE FIST" has a long decorated history of the marines. He is legendary. His strength is Legendary. Sengoku, another Big name without a sword. BM, Kaido, Aokiji, Akainu.... all are swordsless legends. Garp isnt the the LAST STRAW it is the only example needed to be made that destroys your entire arguement.
2. How do you know Zoro is effective when he hasn't fought a single big name? Your claims are baseless
3. Again, like a broken record your only arguement is wait for Wano's end despite Luffy and Sanji also getting opportunities to further prove that Luffy>Zoro and Sanji = Zoro. What do you think is going to happen? Zoro is getting all the fights and Luffy and Sanji are gunna sit this one out? What's the thought process here?
Again all you have is "wait til Wano's over" or "Wait til EoS"
--- Double Post Merged, ---
1 single swordless legend defeats your entire arguement...

It is the best, you can see it by the fact that it is even too much for MC, who always get different opponents than master swordsmen.
The Fist has never been shown dealing with master swordsmen of his caliber. His feats against swords have never been shown. No one has such feats to be seen. BM, despite not being classified as swordsman, uses a sword. Kizaru who isnt a swordsman, ends up fighting as one against a master swordsman. You can bet that other two Admirals would need something similar if they were to face a swordsman of same caliber. Kaido has his club to defend against swords and yet a scar from someone like Oden. Garp is the last straw because his feats will never be shown and will just be known through legends.
Because it is obvious that he is setup to deal with Kaido himself, there is no one in the OP verse with better natural durability than Kaido and Zoro will be the most effective one. Zoro has yet to fail because his combat style is not good enough and good luck betting on that.

Did he or did he not overpower an Admiral and push him back while being crushed by his gravity with a single sword, nameless attack? You are sleeping on such a feat. The thought process for Wano is that Zoro will outperform Luffy and Sanji combined. Yes, you will have to wait and see.
Again, I have to see anything backing up that Sanji is anywhere close to Zoro. Saying that doesnt make him close.

Mind showing those panels of how the Fist deals with swords? Or it is just legends we will never see actually?
The thought process is that Zoro will OUTPERFORM Luffy and Sanji... Do you even hear yourself?
Luffy developed a far better CoA technique that Zoro has in a week. Zoro has CoA for years and cant cut Kaido without a magic blade. Who are you kidding? Obviously yourself lol

Try it. Take a tiny piece of metal... you can probably make a dent or break it. And now take a metalbar of your height. Try again. Daz Bones isnt just a layer... he is solid metal.

As per my last post, blood on Luffy's hands allowed him to deal with the sand. Note how Luffy used water to battle Crocodile the second time around and fared better, and how Crocodile was surprised that Luffy could hit him in their third battle without water around. Can sables go through water and slice the ground?
That doesn't count, and I have addressed that many posts ago. He wasn't punching the weapon, he was gripping it and then squeezing it. I highly double Daz will give him the opportunity to do that.
No it happened. Zoro learned the '"Breath of All Things" and that allowed him to cut Daz. We later learned in Wano that the "Breath of All Things" was simply a form of haki.
Zoro awakened CoA in Alabasta.
What happened tho is that this was before the concept of haki so Oda apparently retconned the idea to make it haki (this I'm not sure of but makes the most sense because Zoro did utilitize a type of haki
